Watch This Rare items missing in loot, needed for crafting Arkadian items

The treasure resources are all still common (if you mine in the right spots of course).

Tiarak still drops elbow spurs and nails commonly. Same with Korwil paw, they're common, though I think you won't see 6 paws in one loot like we did at first

I would add hides to the list (especially tiarak and nusul, those are needed in the highest volume). The drop rate is FAR too low. To give you an example of the volumes, a designer can only collect enough tiarak from the community to make about 1 field a month. Remember most clothes have 3 fields. So only 4-12 pieces of clothing per year. This is compared to at least 1 field PER DAY back before the drop rates were killed. It benefits no one: hunters, texturers or people who want clothes. Because the MU is effectively capped for hides, at this drop rate, the hide MU will never go high enough to make it worth hunting just for hides.

I don't hunt much else but will try and make the rounds when I have time to see what's not dropping.

Also, even if it's a decade on auction history with no sales, that doesn't mean it hasn't been LISTED in that long... just not purchased.

 

Absence of items on AH is not proof of absence of drops or low drop rate. Many items only sell to a very few crafters most of who use #Arktrade or even signs in their shops to say what they need. Resources with low usage tend to lead to the majority of hunters/miners TT'ing them as not worth the loss of the AH fee when it fails to sell. I know I must plead guilty and say I have often TT'd many of the items shown in the list, as have neither the time to seek buyers nor the ped to stockpile.
Greater use of the Trading section of this forum, to offer for sale what folk have, or ask for what is needed may enliven the Ark economy.

As a side note I regularly see sales on Arkadia AH at prices far greater than those offered on Caly, yet the ore/enmat/loot is Arkadian, so no transport costs to add. Almost daily I also hear people say Ark AH is too expensive, or 'I have to ship my stuff to Caly to sell it', which they do with transport costs and sell at lower than that offered on Ark...go figure.
Sometimes I feel Arkadians are their own worst enemies.

 

I have much of that in my storage, and yes I have TT'd a lot of that recently, like Kadra claws - Today, etc.
If someone wants any of those they should put an order on the auction and I shall feed it or grind that mob etc.

 

I've had oweko cranial blades and bokol sinal plate in abundance in the last few weeks, but the MU means it is not worth putting them on AH

I had a UL piron PBR-10 from Oweko last week speaking of rare items

 

Talking of loot not dropping, what happened to Arkoin? Loot 2.0? it was 105% or so when i was last here, now its 190%....

 

These are not really rares as you state above.

Last time I was at it, most of the things mentioned dropped liberally, but were unsellable. AH market stats only record successful sales.

 

That's because the fees make it impossible unless you have a huge stack.

Maybe if the crafters post on here more often we could do more private deals?

 

That they don't tells me that there is no demand, or they have their sources covered. I remember hardly a handful occasions per year that someone asked for these things in trade chat or somewhere else.

 

I have 63 Jori Pectoral Fins in storage, seems no one is buying them. I stopped killing Jori Nov17.
I have small amounts of Ostelok Lower Beak, Ostelok Pommel Feather, still working on the missions here.
The issue would maybe be a lack of BP's dropping to make use of them, or perhaps, what they make are no longer a very attractive MU item.

 

Most crafters that want specific bits ask the hunters directly. When I swirl on some mobs, like Madana I usually get a PM from someone that wants Madana Leg Fur or something the likes.

 

Oddly enough we had Smugglers and Robots in the Abyss the other night. I did get 700 Arkoin that dropped from them on one global.

 

I can confirm that Jori Pectoral Fins are dropping. I'm TTing them because there doesn't seem to be any demand.

end of the run 430 kills 4 feren wing claws improvement from 1200 with none dropped

 

Yesterday I picked up a couple of Yarrijek thoraxs and some Ubo vesicles

If these rare items keep dropping I'm going to be rich

or maybe not

Anyone needs them and/or the feran wing claws give me a shout

 

Got a couple of Osterlok lower beaks from the high maturity's yesterday.
My wife dropped a Hardraada spinal plate from an alpha today.

 

Hope she is ok ! or was it a PvP incident ?

Good thing she can re-spawn, just think what you could get up to if the re-spawn timer took 1 day to re-spawn the wife
