    Hi everyone,

I have created this thread so everyone can discuss the new changes in one thread instead of littering the forum with many discussion related to the same subject.

Please discuss your findings and discoveries here on how you find it.

    Thank you

I was doing my Oratan daily after the VU. Loot felt strange. I like the fact ammo no longer drops makes it a bit easier to cycle during the hunt without having to go to the TT and sell the other ammo type which you don't use.
However I didn't like the fact that the loot was less diverse. I am used to seeing several different things dropping during the daily however now it was not so diverse, it was only shrapnel, shrap with some animal oil (residue, muscle or eye) or shrap with some mined good (usually just 1 type). So at first glance, it looks simpler, feels weird. Overall returns FELT less but in the end they weren't.

Quick first comment on loot 2.0 more to come perhaps at a later date.

Rings and X pills do not change Eco ratings on Items.

The new weapon economy percentage looks like it rates 3.0 dmg/pec at around 67%. so MA left lots of headroom for new things.

I did the daily Oratan prospector fiend hunt, so 100 prospector fiends and perhaps 70 others in the L6-10 range. This is only one hunt, so future results may vary.
I used a Sahra MK8 +A103 (62.3%) as a starter, mamushi+melee amp 3 (62.5%) once they closed distance and a habu + melee amp 1 (60.1) as finisher when it was nearly dead and lag was not an issue.

In comparison a Xent Tech X3+A102 has an economy percentage of 63.4 and an Adjusted Boiga with Melee amp VI 66.1%.

Ammo and fragments are replaced by scrapnel. I did not see a no loot.
I made a profit, which is a rare event nowadays that will hopefully continue.
The percentage of mined resources to materials in loot dropped markedly to only 3%, was normally 10-30% for me.
I looted a very damaged melee amp 1L without getting a global as part of it. Getting a melee amp from a prospector fiend is very odd and getting it without also getting a global (even if it is only 10PED) even more so.
    These results look promising.

MA has not removed blazar fragments as a tiering requirement so something had better drop it or those stockpiles will become very valuable over time.

don't understand the Eco % please help. when I look at the hk110 I have 64% eco with a zx sink amp. I'm maxxed with this rifle so why is the eco not 100? does being 10/10 no longer matter and higher lvl players have better eco with the same setup. so it really all means the higher the level the player the better eco VS a low level player even tho both of them have maxxed the weapon. if the eco is based off the total possible DPP given all weapon setups then whats the highest possible DPP in game? and what weapon setup provides 100% if any and at what level this takes place? and should we all work to that rather than being 10/10 max with the weapon? so now it seems that lower level players will truly pay the higher levels to play with eco % also affects the loot return? am I just misunderstanding the eco %?

Eco% is the percentage of the 3,5dpp (max)
    So say you got 50% eco% that's 1,75dpp.

For already existing weapons the new eco rating is just a visual display of the DPP... nothing else.

So any maxed player will have equal eco with same gear setup.

Now, obviously, various setups have various eco ratings, just like they used to have (and still have) various DPP.

The most eco weapon in the game is (just like before) the IMk2 with 90.4% eco rating.

100% seems to correspond to 3.5 DPP; 66.67% seems to correspond to 3.0 DPP.

    That is definitely not true

Jester D-1 is 48.0% eco (at 2.748 DPP).
Mann MPH is 45.3% eco (at 2.707 DPP).
Omegaton ASG-2 Swine Deluxe is 7.8% eco (at 1.896 DPP)

I actually suspect that 1.75 DPP is 0% eco.

Used well over 1k ammo and not 1 has dropped not like its a big problem as they are not used much but but i did like to use up mine to make Carapace blue boots.
If loots more even i wont mind ;)

Everyone seems focused on the eco number, there's a big thread over in PCF about it as well. I haven't had time to hunt yet, but personally I'm more interested in this:

I've already seen plenty of comments from people who just went out and did their normal hunt with their normal setup and were not impressed with the results. What I read in the above release note is that in-game success is no longer just about having nice gear. I think those who will be most disappointed are those who will continue to play the same way they have been.

Actually, it seems there are some exceptions, not everything translated DPP straight into eco.

    Falcata - 2.78 DPP -> 56.5% eco
    Labrys - 2.86 DPP -> 55.7% eco

Don't forget weapon attachments that dont directly contribute to damage dealt have eco as well now (lasers / sights).

Not sure if that means that decay is returned as part of loot / make you more eco in the process.

Ned spawned some Smugglers which i helped kill seems they are acting as normal guess only time will tell how the loot is on shared mobs.
Few more came and we killed all bots in the area would say loot was just like it always is on these mobs. :)

Hope there's still some fine-tuning to be done. The drop rate for hides is terrible. It's only around 1 hide per 20 kills for mobs like halix. I also heard a report of 300 zadul kills with no hide drop at all. It looks bad for all mobs. At this rate the price of customized clothing will go through the roof.

Cycled 1k on various mobs. 74% return. Loot is all oils and TT-food now. No item drops at all for me, and very little of anything with MU.

Overall experience is underwhelming for me.

Max eco for a base weapon is 3.2 as noted with the safe guard.

But, efficiency is proportion of ammo consumption to decay.

This. i totally agree, u have to find the right weapon for that kind of mob or u'll have in loot only only shrapne and animal oil residue.

i did 3 runs on monura female, first one with my usually set up with poor eco stat, but good eco in old loot sistem (it is a area damage wepon), i looted all shrapnel and return was like 30-40% (was a fast test, just to see if anything was changed, so forgive me the poor stats), then i change set up and went with a chon + A101, and i saw in the loot hides and something different, and also return was better..
3 th run i used a piron plp 0 + A101 (over amped but eco stat is around 67%) and loot was good and vary..

i know u want more precise stats, i'll do soon, yesterday was just fun and fast test

    cheers

Folks, this coming weekend I plan to put together a thread showing economy rating for Ark weapons and attachments. My initial focus will be on stuff I have bps for (Which is a lot) since that's what I have data for but I will leave room for looted gear such as pirons also.

This because Entropedia currently doesn't have the capability to record the data.

I did first hunt after the VU today. Doing just daily Oratan Payback Mission XI.

It was good run, 10Ped tt profit. Had one global 25PED from that 23PED were shrapnels. So, it looks like my setup (62.6% eco) is not good enough to loot item. Before the VU, with global like that, I had always a gun or Melee Trauma Amplifier I (L) in loot.

Didn’t get any no-looter, and also no Fragments, which is good . The lowest loot was 0.10Ped. Loot contained same stuff then before the VU, not large difference there.

Zadul hide, which is needed for a new furniture BP, isn't dropping at all... Previously I would get an average of 40 per hour. I just spent 2 hours trying various locations & got Zero. What is the point of having a New BP if the ingredients are unattainable?
