Arkadian Adviser Program

signed! first! for teh win!

 

I signed up. I didn't get the feeling I was able to put much in, but the full reason I would like to become an adviser is as followed;

I fell in love with Arkadia from the first moment I landed on it. Only because of the fucking Calypso bunnies I am currently not home. I have spent much time sharing information or helping people wherever I can and I like to write my semi-rp blog on the forums. There was an option to rate yourself on your costumer service skills, I can't rate myself the highest as honestly I would not be able to handle everything and on a bad day you get Storm, not Lizzy

I like that you are breathing in new life into the Arkadia Advisor Program, and I am looking forward to future developments and community involvement regarding the program.

This is a great idea! I wish I had the understanding & skill to competently assist new players. I do what I can to help newbies whenever I find one in need. ( I have mentored a few on Caly) But because I was born on Calypso 8-9? yrs ago, I play catch up a lot. I had a great mentor, but the game has changed sooo much since then,( before vehicles when running & swimming was required to get TP's) I am always finding new & exciting things (I probably should have known years ago,,,) I have enjoyed exploring & learning about Arkadia, but there is still so much I don't know, because I wasn't born there & haven't gone through that process. I love running my shop, Cat's Wishing Well & even though I take breaks periodically from the game, I really love playing. I feel Arkadia is the Classy planet & I am always impressed with the creativity expressed there.

 

An excellent initiative. I'm Calypso born myself but I've spent the last few years on Arkadia. I'm not going to put in an application myself because I think that the posts should go to those who have been active on Arkadia from the very start and also because I'm a bit footloose in EU, liable to take off for another planet as the spirit moves me Good luck with this and I hope that you get some good people to do this.

 

I appreciate your blog and believe that you have experience to share with many other players, and definitely with newer players.

I can't speak for Dylan but doubt that they will require anyone to fulfil this role every moment in game as this will eliminate the core reason they currently play for all the Advisers. Hopefully the adviser title can be disabled when advisers have other things to do to prevent PM style questions.
You can also certainly refrain from answering questions in the forums on days when there's more thunder and lightning than usual in the Storm.

Good Luck with your initiative. I have only recently come to Arkadia, here during the week for the Oratan Payback missions, then back to Caly on the weekends. I have to say that Ark seems much more “Alive” than Caly with all that is going on.

Wow. Did I dare dream I would apply to be an Arkadian Advisor when I left Calypso before I could take down a Nusul? No. Is Arkadia the most finely run planet? Yes. Hmm.

Also, a noob recently asked if the Pandis went extinct. I replied: No, this has happened before. Does make one wonder-

Where do the Pandis go?

Now this guy right here is probably exactly what Dylan means with being modest about your title...I had absolutely NO idea this guy was an official advisor! ...and he has helped me more than once whilst being on Ark! A dedicated Top notch advisor right there!
