And it doesn't even have the 8 seats like the dropship they copied the look from. Who does all this designing? Bad bad job BTW! The dropship itself has some bad design flaw too like what exactly does it drop from? Bad bad designing people!

 

You forget that MA is their sole service provider and main competition and Ark Studios are most certainly not allowed to bring a superior product to market for use in space, and definitely not at a lower price point.
You therefore see a ship with specs cloned from an equus and the skin of their dropship, since this is the only thing they can do without upsetting a lot of investment in space transport.
I personally would not mind a crafted temporary conversion to fit guns and a space thruster to the normal dropship, which then provides something comparable to a quad in space. While this is fitted you sacrifice the 8 side seats, which are not suitable for space travel anyway since they are open to the vacuum.
This will extend crafting a bit, expand the options for slow transport in space and allow you to do more with the normal dropship.

 

Thumbs up on the design though... MA copied a premade model for the quad/equus, Arkadia put the work in and designed the ship from scratch, as far as I know.

 

Looks like it's a big $5000 gamble now.

 

Selling two is a good start. Someone should now be offering warps in style.

What happened with the Sale of these Ships. Did they all sell, I am thinking not after reading this read, but none are listed on Auction anymore. Anyone know the scoop? Did you have to contact the Ark folks if you have interest in one?

 

Not near a terminal to check now, but they are on the Global auction, not the Planet Arkadia auction. You need to switch to global and search there for them.

 

Not the last time I looked, which was right before I posted this. Do I actually have to search Firebird or something? They used to just pop up as the only thing listed on Global Auction.

Not the sale forecast, or better, not Arkadia sale forecast, I am sure many of us players was ready to bet this sale would have been a fail... and it's talking one of the first Equus buyers.

The lack of diversity in space, but more than that the lack of opportunities in the brand new staff we can purchase is one of the reasons investors are not boing to belive anymore in the opportunities you (Ark team, Calypso team and MA in general) are offering here.

I remember old LA auctions with SB TT+0 that was exiting all of us and that made a lot of people to organize for the bidding wars, it was cool and an opportunity at the same time... if MA made an epic fail with Moon sale it didn't mean you all had to change and go for high SB only sales. Ending with SB over market value makes this really embarrassing, time to rethink at the attitude game developers should have in this cases imho, since old style was better for both sides. When stuff remains unsold we know this is a suicide investment so there's just no point to keep this crap going on.

In my case I am going to leave the investment side of the game definitely due to the lack of opportunities in last years (Unsold Calypso Statues, Unsold Firebirds, Unsold Compet deeds and so on), GL ot everyone left here with money
