Auctions for the Firebird Limited Edition ships will begin 27th January 2017, with opening bids of 50,000 ped (5,000 USD). Bidding competitions are expected to be fierce with only one ship released each week.

I like the idea of having more of these ingame (although I thought the ark team had a bit more imagination) but equus were overpriced when they first brought them out and these are seriously overpriced in todays climate.

 

Equus new skin... The stats are literally a copy paste, with new skin.


As a space player, this is not what I wanted to see added to space since it's "already been done", yet another 2 seat transport that can warp

 

Well, they certainly look a bit cooler than the equus. Somehow I doubt that´s enough to get the extra 5-8k PED vs a "used" equus. After all, those 10%+ make quite a significant difference on ROI.

I guess they weren´t permitted to put them up for less than what the equus were sold for though.

 

Well, we didnt think all 20 equus would sell and they did. so.. never know

 

But adding another 20 makes resale values even less.

Firebird in Space

The Firebird is more a Blackbird, at certain angles it is hard to see (this might help you hide from pirates)

It apears to handle quite nimble, like the normal Dropship / Sleip.

Once the lights hit it, it looks quite nice.

Big spacious cockpit for 2 side by side, (Unlike the Equus that is 1 behind the other)

There is a Nusul plushie in the cockpit (this reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy)

 

I must say the Firebird loooooks so AWESOME!

nice job and I am glad to see Arkadia have better looking vehicle then Calys heheh ... RockTropia wake up!

 

Awww wish some of them could have been prizes of an event. No way I can bid unless MA lets me ATH.

 

I love how it looks
it should have other stats,
4 people capacity
back door entrance instead of the bulb moving up, front end moving parts are too vulnerable and an engineering suicide.

 

Nice new toy! I think the description text about load capacity is rather satirical though, hmm?

Y'all realize dropships are meant to be transport vehicles right?

 

Think people who coined "Imperial Federal Navy" really care about using terms accurately?

Using "imperial federal" together only makes sense if I.F.N. are outside mercenaries bound by a treaty (which doesn't seem to be the case in the storyline).

 

Nice vehicle, but as with the equus, I think the weight limit and price make it impractical.
