Attention Gold Rush Enthusiasts

The annual Gold Rush event is upon Planet Arkadia again. This year the event comes with outstanding prizes.

The Gold Rush will be run over a course of 7 months, separated into 7 events, each events will last a period of 9 days.​

Rules

Hidden within the loots is a set of Event Tokens. These tokens have points allocated to each of them. These points are as follows. (one set of tokens for each instance level)

• Cat.1 Event Token - 1 Point
• Cat.1 Event Token - 5 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 10 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 20 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 50 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 100 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 500 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 1000 Points
• Cat.1 Event Token - 5000 Points

You will need to obtain the "Arkadia Gold Rush Category 1* (2, 3, 4)" mission from the Gold Rush Quest giver first before you will be able to enter the Gold Rush instances. You can enter these instances however many times you like during the Gold Rush and there is no key required to enter, the mission itself acts as the key. Please note, that these tokens cannot be traded. Once these tokens have been looted, the points will be automatically counted towards the mission when you loot any of the "Cat.1 Event Token - 1 Point" from within the instances.

Total score will be calculated based on hourly point averages to derive each participant's 20 hour normalized points.

As the event uses normalized score that means that Avatar 1 would win as their normalized score is higher than Avatar 2.

This event is intended for solo hunters. Any attempt at abusing team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features in order to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of any prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.

YOU CAN ONLY WIN PRIZES IN ONE CATEGORY

If you abandon the mission at any time during the event, all points will be lost and they will NOT be replaced. You will have to start from scratch. So make sure you decide which category you want to compete in beforehand.

You will have to complete a minimum of 20 hours in the Gold Rush Instances to qualify for winning a prize.​

* Category 1 is only available to avatars with less than 125hp

Example: Someone with 124.9hp can join Category 1, but if you have 125hp you will have to compete in Category 2, 3 or 4.

** if you should loot a token that will increase your points with equal or more points than the threshold for the Neurobiotic Booster is set, you will receive one (1) Neurobiotic Booster immediately and the counter for the next Neurobiotic Booster is reset. (this is a separate counter than the Gold Rush Points counter so your points will not be affected)

Example: You have 87 points in Category 1* then you loot one Cat.1 Event Token - 5000 Points, this will give you one (1) Neurobiotic Booster A10 1mg instantly. So now you will have 5087 points and if you loot another 13 points you will get another Neurobiotic Booster A10 1mg and so on.

Woohoo ! The wait is almost over & love the prizes and the longer event time, but where is the mining & crafting event ? (need to boost the AUDs a bit)

 

Is it possible to compete in all 3 categories like it was in the past and only highest prize is awarded? (So doing over 60 hours total, 20 each in cat 2/3/4)?

Gold Rush 2016 Armor and Stats

 

So... it's Gold Rush or... Golden Week lasting 9 days and repeating over and over for 7 months? Don't see mining nor crafting section of event as it was during Gold Rush in past.

 

Totally agree with above, where is the rest of the event?? Annual Gold rush was for all professions not just hunters.
We accepted that Golden week was a cut down version, but Gold Rush encouraged Miners to come to Ark, it encouraged Crafters to come and make all the amps etc It improves the Arkadian economy. The mining in particular assisted the AUD's

If this event is restricted to Hunters only then it misses a big opportunity to bring high end miners and crafters to Ark, which last year led to many staying or at least visiting far more than previously, and removes the one annual event that our resident miner/crafters could look forward to.
Please tell us that the rest of the event will be in separate posts.

Does this mean there are 7 set of prizes?
I am assuming that the first event I can enter cat 1 having only 124hp but by the 2nd event I will then have exceeded this and will then compete in cat 2? Does that mean an avatar can win one prize in each category??

 

Why is armour set up not appropriate to an Arkadian mob ? This Armour looks like it was designed by MA for Calypso. Come on Ark team.. let's have Arkadian stuff for Arkadians !!

with the electric stats on this armor, I'm wondering if we are going to get some new mob(s) introduced on ark with electric attacks? That would be exciting. As I don't think we have any mobs on ark that do electric attack? Soooo maybe some foreshadowing of what's to come?

So does that mean total of 20 hours spread out over the 7 separate events or each event needs a minimum 20 hours?

Interesting that you value the armor plate / armor pieces higher then the respective 2nd prize of small / medium / large land plots.

So either the land areas are actually pretty small or you expect that the armor bits will eventually have high mu,

What sort of land plots are these? Similar to the Caly CLD plots or more like LA where you can have DNA and mobs, etc?

 

The use of the term land plot rather than land area suggests to me that they are similar to the Caly CLD land plots and intended for house and garden building,

 

Okay so let me get this straight? Me as a low mid level level player cycle 18,99 ped per minute with constant attacking (which is plausible, or at least was possible in last years gold rush.) which amounts to 1139.59 ped per hour. That in turn means that each section of this event will cost me 22791ish ped to finish. Round down to 22k for laziness. That makes 154k for this event. With my average TT return of 96.43% that´s close to 6k ped to complete all the stages with minimum hours. It´s going to cost me ~6k peds to "buy a ticket" to potentially get an armor set.

In contrast. in 2014 gold rush provided far better items for a full month of grinding. That was 31 days, 744 hours of 24/7 play. That has an outcome of about a 30k loss for me(with my average TT return over time), if i had played 24 hours a day for a full month. since (iirc) That wasnt normalized score?)

If i had played 24 hours a day for 31 days, I bet my chances would have been better at getting something, out of pure "brute force". Since this is a normalized event that means that you are competing against more people, and thus have a lower chance of winning. Shouldn´t the prices be of equivalent value?

7 sets of prizes, so you got 7 chances to win if you take part in every monthly event. 20 hours per monthly event.

 

what i've loved about Gold Rush was the fact that cover all professions, i must say congratz to the Ark team for destroying a great event and i'm tottally sure you'll feel it on your revenue

 

Dylan did mention to watch out for other news / events, so I guess something will be announced for the other professions as well.
