Hi. I would hereby like to introduce a new service to Entropians called EntropiaFriends. EntropiaFriends is a marketing website for Entropia where you as players can invite your friends to play Entropia and in return get paid for it! Whether you have a gamer friend or two, run a blog, or a full blown website EntropiaFriends is created to be friendly and easy to use. We also offer a generous long term payment model where recruiting even a single player can potentially yield hundreds of dollars. Please take a look at https://entropiafriends.com and let me know what you think!
We've had a few services like this before. Some were Ponzi schemes, others were benign but useless. Does this have any official support from MA?
From what I know, Akoz used to have his own affiliate link from MA, so guess that's how it affords to pay us (a share of what he gets). Don't think it is supported, but I think is legit; (if he's the real akoz) he's been here for ages, has a tons of money invested so guess we could trust him.
EntropiaFriends is an official marketing partner of MindArk. This would not be possible without two-way communication between the webpages.
Maybe i'm overly sceptical. But why is this only posted at this forum? I would advice everyone to use a different e-mail and password then what you use ingame.
It is posted here, on entropiaforum and in the facebook group for starters. Still ironing out minor bugs and testing everything. It is always a good idea to use different passwords for every site, and if possible to use google/fb logins like we provide. This way you reduce the amount of information stored in our systems even though we of course make systems as secure as we can. We can add banners later, yes. For now you'll have to make your own, and just use the URL provided to link. Do you have specific banner size requests?
Have to admit that when I saw the post on EF and after checking that the certificate came from a free provider, no contact info other than an email address to the same domain and no personal info on the domain registration I wrote it off as a scam. Sorry mate but until I see word from MA with an official statement that it's legit I'll be holding off putting anything in.
I understand your skepticism. It sounds like you have a technical background, so you might actually be able to verify yourself by simply checking the tracking pixel on the post-signup page (on entropiaunviverse.com) referring back to entropiafriends.com. Either way we'll work on the issues you mention. Thanks for your feedback.
And a question for the devs. Globals are cheked with Entropia directly or with entropia life? EDIT: and 1 more, can you see the names of the players you recruited?
I guess they check with EL for illustration purposes, as my "worth" matches my tracked globals but I have had lots more untracked (that's what you get for playing on minor planets during off times). MA would probably make payouts according to their own records though. Hence, Cyreans and Toulanese are worth more than they seem to be.
nice idea! but i just wondered: Unfortunately we could not find any global data for 'Prophet the Prophet from Planet Zen'.
That is "so far". You will continue to receive revenue for as long as a recruited player is active. Globals are checked only against publicly available data. Unfortunately we do not have direct access to MA database, so for now EntropiaLife or similar services will be used. Yes - you will see the full names of the players you recruit. They appear in the "Recruited players" list, so that you may befriend them, mentor them and follow them up as tightly as you wish. This is a key concept of EntropiaFriends. Please try again!
