The big statue in aakas is finished and brought to life, bit like the marshmellow man and ark's own kong
Mutated Ubo with a twist: Unlike other mutations, this one isn't just a bit tougher to grind. There are actual variations: An Electric Ubo (blue), a Caustic Ubo (green) and a Cryogenic Ubo (white) doling out the respective damage types electric, acid, cold instead of burn. They spawn all mixed of course, this makes protection a bit tricky. There could be an Über Ubo as boss mob for events. I imagine it laying a trail of death rummaging through several rooms in the Underground, kind of like a Monstrously Toxic Jellyworm (Cyrene) with the agility of an Oratan Axe. PS- Wasn't there a recurring wish for a humungous Thanksgiving Gallard...
sorry in advance if i didn't bother to read before i answer, i'll read it later! pleeeaase! maybe i'm a stupid hunter but i only want spawns of mob that are actually existing already! it's like the snablesnots, maybe most basic creature of project entropia ever. i can't even tell you how much fun i had hunting especially the big ones. i guess really noone here needs entropedia to know they are gone for a long time, so a rather obsolete kind of EU memory. i also guess you can ask ANY FRIGGIN PLAYER what would actually have been an improvement to the game, instead of a dying branch to develop. so, why not summon the high maturity oratan axes and lancers in incredible clouds, to make them bitchslap the complaining solo ubers and a nice target for the above average joe teams? i know, because it's very complicated to create such things in your own virtual universe. it has to be thought through properly and takes years to develop, because there's so fucking much more to come! </rant off #3245z87weqr..
so, to make it clear. i kindly ask you to stop spamming mindark and the planet partners and the president with more crazy complicated ideas, and rather stick to our roots, try to conserve virtual nature and the existing mob wildlife in EU, and get mindark to stop destroying things while developing problems so we can finally live together in peace and harmony in this wonderful RCE drama universe. :biggrin2:
More ideas is good. Devs can pick the ones that work for them or use them as launching points for their own development ideas.
You don't need mega complicated mobs that would take 6 month to code. The mobs are there already (big oratan lancers), make a small spawn of those with shared loot turned off; job done.
I don't feel the need to shut down any new and creative ideas. Ideas are good, keep em coming! Like Kikki already said, we can trust the devs to be smart enough to choose whatever they like. It's just one thing that I find unacceptable - redirecting everything into UG. Yes yes you have those AUD and you want their value and interest rate to increase. I get that. Nothing wrong with being a little greedy. However... Do you remember how happy we all were when this cool new mob "Oratan Miner" was released? Remember their mines in the desert, the whole new setup? The respawn trigger was little bugged but other than that it was perfect! I liked it and so I finished my oratan mission chain at those mines in that desert under the hot Arkadian sun. I think I generated quite a bit of turnover for the planet there. Few months ago I went back to that spot. The mine was dead, switched off. I could find the other mine with higher level ones but the low level oratan miner was gone. Wanna hunt em go to UG, it's swarming with em... We could still see them up in the sunshine at the big Ark events, but then half the events migrated over to the UG as well... The new mutated mobs can only appear on LA's. Wanna hunt em, pay the tax... All the new smuggler/warehouse missions - UG exlusively... If nobody will start thinking about a bit more balanced approach soon, we'll end up with the Taxed Planet. Should it ever happen I will congratulate you, and leave. U can keep it.
Well said Fifth. If anything can kill the great Arkadia it will be this relentless march into taxation.
Agree with this, please continue to come up with ideas about different things. As you mention there were/is some bugs with a few mines still today unfortunately so not all is working at this time, but if you want to hunt lower maturity Oratan Miner at their Mines there is a few that is active right now, check these locations out if you would like to hunt the smaller maturity topside: 17507, 15027 26525, 22565 And from now on lets keep to the subject of the thread, please improve on someone's idea instead of just shooting it down because it's not what you personally believe would add value to Planet Arkadia.
I doubt any new, massive hp mob would make the highest skilled ubers stay on Ark, however I'm sure it would help in getting them to visit more often. And no doubt, it would create some buzz and curiosity through the universe. And yes, sure this could have a positive impact on the planet's economy (though a far smaller impact than it would be had they (yeah I know MA controls the loot) fixed the composite and Aakas armor drop rate..
Re. Oratan mines -- cf. http://arkadiaforum.com/threads/oratan-wave-spawn-locations.12981/ On topic: I guess it is about time the Yuka DNA parts are brought together, or is somebody hiding them in storage? If this doesn't fix the cravings of those who got bored by Daspletor already then I don't know what... A few mobs on other planets have maturities above Stalker or boss maturities, e.g. Atrox, Primordial Longu, Harbinger, Zeladoth, Chimera, Death Drake. Maybe this would cause the least design effort and cost? Thinking of Kamaldon maybe, since variations of them already serve the Lancers. They could be corralled in a fortified Oratan settlement, where they are breeding them for their nefarious purposes. Or they could appear in form of a stampede and cover some distance to make things more interesting, kind of like the Eomon migration, just a bit more life-like in their movement.
It's not just that both mines are active, the respawn trigger bug is gone too. Perfection! Keep up the good work A-Team and we'll be happy. It's a promise!
