So, I've decided to show my hunting log using my lacerating nanochip. I'm currently very low level (lv 5 cyrogenic dmg and lv 3 cyrogenic hit) and am using Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) as my main damager. I know it isn't the highest eco weapon in-game, but I prefer to skill something different from the usual skills like laser or BLP. Plus, effects look cooler and I hope there'll be more contents for mindforce in the future. I've also decided to use mindforce as my main hunting profession I'm skilling cyrogenic at Halix, because it has given me the highest TT return (lowest is 78%, highest is 115%) among other Ark mobs. Atm, will keep hunting halix until my stacked loot is high enough for auction, then I will move to a different mob. I kept my ammo to maximum of 20 PED per run. Time: 10-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) decay = 0.61 NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0.01 S.I. HK110 decay for finisher = 0.71 Vivo S10 decay = 0.48 Ammo = 18.4 TOTAL = 20.21 PED Loot (TT value) = 17.1 PED Return = -3.11 PED ( 84.61%) Note: Got a lot of muscle oil (which is somehow nice) and diluted sweat (not good). It seems that there's some kind of loot wave. The next 10 halixes can give me a lot of halix hides without diluted sweat, but the next 20, it gives me a lot of diluted sweat with no hides. I even got a 0.97 PED of diluted sweat from a halix as the result of a mini global Will continue to post the result every time I finished my hunt. Any insights or comments are appreciated
Time: 12-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) decay = 0.64 NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0.01 Piron PBR-0 (L) for finisher = 0.34 Vivo S10 decay = 0.39 Ammo = 19.8 TOTAL = 21.18 PED Loot (TT value) = 27.33 PED Return = +6.15 PED (129.04%) Note: Really, really nice loot. Best TT return ever hunting halix. Got a 6 PED halix and several minis (the 1.5 PED halix hides one was really nice). Changed finisher to Piron PBR-0 (L) as I have 1 unused. Might as well burn its TT value. Another notable loot was Wool (2.8 PED total loot from the hunting run). What's nice is, I wasn't bombarded with a lot of diluted sweat like in my last hunting run. Also got to lv 6 Cyrogenic hit from lv 5.44
Time: 13-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) decay = 0.55 NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0.01 MANTA K-TT (L) for finisher = 2.42 Vivo S10 decay = 0.55 Ammo = 15.2 TOTAL = 18.73 PED Loot (TT value) = 15.34 PED Return = -3.39 PED (81.9%) Note: Well, u know what comes after a good run? that's right, the bad one. Loots were hopeless (mostly 2 - 6 pec on young halixes) and I made a very very terrible mistake using TT knife as finisher. I didn't even know what I was thinking back then (I supposed I was thinking of leveling a bit of my melee knife, but didn't realize the high decay rate on the knife). Highest mini was 1.4 PED (at least the halix hide covered 1 PED part of it). Because the loots were bad, I had to stop after spending 15-ish PED ammo. Who knows I could have made a bigger loss if I continued (or probably better return)
Good luck with your Mindforce-log! Those charts look pretty neat! You might also want to have a look at the Corrosive Attack I as a finisher. That one does only max 5dmg. Having your tools makes is the most important ofcourse, so maybe you can push it in the maxed with the skills you get from your Lacerating Attack. The Manta K-TT has a high decay because it uses no ammunition. To compare eco's (data from Entropedia): 2.861 = S.I. HK110 2.867 = Piron PBR-0 2.891 = Corrosive Attack I 2.896 = Manta K-TT 2.899 = Lacerating Attack I I'll be following your log, since I have an itch to go from Mindforce as tagger and/ or finisher.
Welcome to the MF club. I was always too lazy to post my data so this is nice to see. Are you going to stick with Lacerating chips all the time or will you use others as/when you loot some? I used all types and found it useful and also ended up using my weakest chips as a finisher. Will you be posting your skill gains for Cryo hit and dmg? Good luck and happy hunting
I'm planning to stick with the cyrogenic chips (lacerating and cyrogenic). They are the most eco among other according to my soc leader. I'm still using my HK110 or any looted 3 -4 dmg guns for finisher. I'll try to post my before and after cyrogenic skill. I haven't posted them because I didn't calculate the skill gains exactly. Currently I'm still at lv 6.6 cyro dmg and 5.3 cyro hit, so I'm still stuck with my lacerating nanochip I
hmm interesting. I'll look into the corrosive one. True, I wasn't myself when I used the TT knife as finisher haha. It is probably the one that makes my return suffer. Eventhough the TT knife has higher DPP, I find using S.I. HK110 actually gives me better return with lesser decay rate. Ofc, using looted noob guns like piron pbr-0 that has 3 max dmg is a bit better than Hk110 I've done enough with laser or BLP weapons. They aren't really eco due to high MUs on weapons at higher level. The MF chips' MU is rather stable these days BTW, I'm using the EUHunter application. It used to be automatic, I guess. Now I have to do them manually like inserting loots and such. The graph and chart were nice , so I ended up using it every hunting run
Time: 14-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) decay = 0.61 NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0.01 S.I. HK110 (L) for finisher = 0.96 Vivo S10 decay = 0.36 Ammo = 18.7 TOTAL = 20.64 PED Loot (TT value) = 32.55 PED Return = 11.91 PED (157.7%) Note: Apparently it's true that loots are more extreme on weekends. I'm not complaining though, because I managed to be on the positive extreme.. 157% TT return explains all. Yep, u didn't see wrong. Even I was shocked. Here are some extreme things that I found: Got an 8 PED halix with [S & B Ardenner 2 (L)] as the loot. Not full TT though, but still nice So many minis and the smallest one is 0.85-ish PED. Got 2 minis in a row, twice More crit happened. I even managed to kill a young halix in 2 crits with lacerating nano I, twice Damage dealt was also extreme. I got plenty of 4..-ish dmg and 7..ish dmg, but not so often dealing 5-6 dmg, which is the average, considering lacerating attack nanochip I has dmg range between 4-8 Bad loot is worse on weekends (most bad loots worth 1-2 pecs. On weekdays, usually bad loots worth at least 3 pecs) Haven't noticed any extremes on no loots and fragments. It seemed to be the same on any day As freddzep had requested, I also write down my skill gain after the hunting run: Cyrogenic Hit - (LV 5, 29.80%) ~ (LV5, 84.67%) Cyrogenic Dmg - (LV 6, 64.49%) ~ (LV7, 10.13%) .. up one level Cyrogenic Skill - (825 ~ 932) Today's indeed a nice day.
Time: 15-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) decay = 0.3 NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0 S.I. HK110 (L) for finisher = 0.46 Vivo S10 decay = 0.22 Ammo = 9.4 TOTAL = 10.38 PED Loot (TT value) = 5.23 PED Return = -5.15 PED (50.39%) Note: Holy mother of Lootious. I hate monday. After hacking through 70-ish Halixes, I stopped my run. Why??? No minis Loots are 5 pecs averagely. 8 pecs or more loots seldom occurred Too many evades Halixes seemed to crit more than usual Someone hunting in the same spot also reported about strange horrible loot. He even used a more eco weapon than mine (I think it was the TT sword + trauma amp) Perhaps this is my punishment after scoring 157% TT return yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow might be a better day Skill gains: Cyrogenic Hit - (LV 5, 84.80%) ~ (LV 6, 7.03%) .. up one lvl Cyrogenic Dmg - (LV 7, 10.18%) ~ (LV7, 28.40%) Cyrogenic Skill - (932 ~ 975)
Time: 16-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip I (L) decay = 0.97 NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0 S.I. HK110 (L) for finisher = 1 Vivo S10 decay = 0.52 Ammo = 18.1 TOTAL = 20.22 PED Loot (TT value) = 12.63 PED Return = -7.59 PED (62.46%) Halix killed = 167 Effective DPP = 167 * 35 / 2022 = 2.89 Note: 1 word: BAD. Loots weren't picking up since yesterday. Instead, I got bombarded by small loots and only 2 minis (and both of them weren't even greater than 1 PED). My nanochip is almost completely decayed and so does my PED card. I don't know if I can sustain anymore runs like this. Skill gains aren't as fast as before because my nanochip's SIB has reached "Not Anymore" status. Evades are getting more frequent, it's like the halixes eat evade skill implants every updates. Skill gains: Cyrogenic Hit - (LV 6, 7.3% ~ 41.87%) Cyrogenic Dmg - (LV 7, 28.40% ~ 57.08%) Cyrogenic Skill - (975 ~ 1040) In the meantime, I won't do hunting runs as frequent as this until I can obtain more budget, whether by depo-ing or sweating or anything. I'd also like to ask questions to all pro MF users: I'm currently at LV 7 cyrogenic dmg. Should I move to a higher one (e.g. lacerating/cyrogenic nano II) or stay with the current (lacerating nano I)? Considering nano II is maxed at lv 9 and I don't get SIB anymore at current chip I'm seriously thinking of changing mobs. Any suggestion on which mob can I hunt rather than halixes?
A few ideas: 1. I would love to see a "up-to-day total" (maybe in the OP); the daily updates are really nice, but the sample is too low to draw any conclusions. 2. I would love to see (at least an estimation) of mobs killed / hp damage done, to can figure what is your cost-per-kill and effective dps. Without that your posts are just fun to read, but don't carry much relevant information... Anyway, I would keep reading since I like your style of presenting things, just saying that I would love to see these infos added too. PS: At a first glance, your healing costs seem to be a bit too high for me.
Yea, I'll try to put the average returns from hunting halixes per week on the 1st post, if that's what you mean. Do you mean how many shots I do on halix with my MF chips and finisher to kill it? It was quite high, but steadily decreasing as my evade increases. I guess it's one of the good things using MF chips, because the range is not that far and mobs will at least hit me 1-2 times before it died. Still waiting for my evades to pay off and healing decay can be reduced until 10 pecs probably. I agree that the last run increases FAP decay. Mobs seems to hit more often despite of my increased evade
More like a grand total, or at least monthly... I think that for drawing any conclusions, a sample of at least a few K mobs is needed (anything lower than that and the luck factor may play a too big role in the equation). No, I mean how many mobs you killed in a run... like presuming you killed 125 halixes (all young) in a run which costed you 20 PEDs, that means that your effective dpp (the one that takes in account all kind of things like misses, regen, healing, etc) is 125 * 40 / 2000 = 2.5 effective dpp... That would allow for some comparasion... like I had 2.4 effective dpp and got 88% return rates; you had 2.5 and got 91%.
I've updated my last log with the effective DPP. I'm not sure what 2000 is from your calculation above. I'm aware that 40 is the HP of the halix. Since I hunt 2 maturities (young 30 HP and mature 40 HP) and I only track the number of halix killed from the mission log, I use 35 HP as the average value
The 2,000 in my example above is the 20 PED transformed in PECs to have damage-per-pec, so for your last run that should have been 2,022 (20.22 PED * 100). So basically formula is (total damage done) divided by (all pecs spent - including ammo, healing, decay). Also, what I noted is that effective DPP variation between hunts is rather low, so guess it would be enough that one day you track exactly what you hunt (or to make it easier for you just hunt same maturity that day), calculate the effective DPP then just carry that value to future hunts with same setups (guess the error margin would be lower instead of estimating the mob hp).
Time: 18-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip II (L) decay = 0.64 (120% MU) NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0.01 S.I. HK110 (L) for finisher = 1 Vivo S10 decay = 0.23 Ammo = 18.1 TOTAL = 20.78 PED Loot (TT value) = 17.1 PED Loot with MU = 18.57 PED Return TT = -3.68 PED (82.29%) Return with MU = -2.21 PED (89.36%) Halix killed Young = 96 Mature = 45 Total = 141 Effective DPP = (96 * 30 + 45 * 40) / 2078 = 2.25 Note: At least, the loots picking up. Changed hunting location and got much better loot than previous hunt. At least 4 minis with more than 1 PED value each. Still so far from getting the so-called 90% TT return (maybe 90% is the return already calculated with MU). Added effective DPP, killed halix count, and MU calculation to the graph. I choose the weekly MU value which is greater than 103%. Moved to lacerating II nanochip as my soc leader suggested. Although I still haven't maxed the new toy (8/10 max ability), the result wasn't that bad (only 4 misses from the whole hunting run). At least, I'm prepared to lose that much at the cost of SIB. Skill gains: Cyrogenic Hit - (LV 6, 42.33% ~ 81.27%) Cyrogenic Dmg - (LV 7, 57.08% ~ 89.29%) Cyrogenic Skill - (1040~ 1115)
2.25 effective DPP is kinda low, and that might be the reason of your bellow 90% returns. For myself, I try to stick with mobs where I can get 2.5+ DPP. Also, as previously said, on small sample sizes, luck (or lack of it) can have a huge effect... curious how numbers look when you get into a few K kills.
Good luck with the log, its looking nice Btw, if you happen to loot any Halix skulls on the way, let me know so we can discuss a deal
yea. It's true. Maybe luck is the the higher factor when killing with only 20 PED budget (and unmaxed weapon). I'm planning to increase my budget also. Anyway, I'm planning to skill on halix until I reach lv 9 cyro and maxed my nano II. After that, I'm moving to the daily oratan mission. Currently at thug day 3. No problem. So far, I haven't looted any halix skulls. Hopefully I can loot 1 or 2 hahah
Time: 18-Feb-2016 Mob: Halix young-mature Cost: Lacerating Attack Nanochip II (L) decay = 0.62 (120% MU) NeoPsion 10 Mindforce Implant decay = 0.01 S.I. HK110 (L) for finisher = 0.81 Vivo S10 decay = 0.32 Ammo = 18.2 TOTAL = 19.96 PED Loot (TT value) = 19.1 PED Loot with MU = 20.89 PED Return TT = -0.86 PED (95.69%) Return with MU = 0.93 PED (104.65%) Halix killed Young = 95 Mature = 41 Total = 136 Effective DPP = (95 * 30 + 41 * 40) / 1996 = 2.25 Note: Well..well..well. It seems I managed to break even on the 2nd run today. Got several minis as usual, loots aren't that much different than the previous one. Anyway, I'm getting more halix tails each run, which is nice. I have also noticed the impact of sweating on MF. Since I never use chips other than hunting halix, sweating gives me concentration, which in turn slightly increase the progress of the cyrogenic profession (more or less 0.1% per 250-ish sweat gathered). Skill gains: Cyrogenic Hit - (LV 6, 81.39%] ~ [LV 7, 29.28%) Cyrogenic Dmg - (LV 7, 89.33%] ~ [LV 8, 27.69%) Cyrogenic Skill - (1115~ 1206) Conspiracy theory: I wonder if MA actually looks on player's log (hunting/crafting/mining) on the forum, groups them based on mob, area, or blueprints, and decide whether to decrease or increase return to keep the 90% average TT return.
