This is basically a two part question where one part is just basically a question, and if this part is not true, the second part of the question can be disregarded. But here goes:

    1. I have heard that something like 50% of the revenue you create is going to go to the planet where your avatar was born, no matter where you are spending your PEDs?

    2. If this is true, shouldn´t you be able to somehow, at least the very least if your character was created prior to the release of the other planets, change where you want your revenue to go?

I tried searching for something that answered this, but I was unable to find anything. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Here's a thread on PCF regarding this topic: http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/f...11243-Planet-partners-and-their-income-gained

    Copying the relevant parts below:
So it's essentially a 50:50 split between MA and the PP.

Why should another planet benefit from another planet bringing you to the game, including all the potential expenses for the lead generation to bring you to the game? If it is troubling you that much, restart a new.

I just think this is all an issue for PPs to be concerned about, and that avatars should just get on and play the game in the manner and on the planet that they most enjoy.

It's all in the conracts that MA and the PPs sign and none of our business really.

what if there were only 1 planet; when your avatar was created: You should be able to tell MA; where your ped spent should go. But that does not holds true.
When you choose to stay permanently on, some other planet than Calypso, the revenue should stay at that specific planet; and not go to calypsians alone, this is a strange thing; in an interplanetary setup wth different planets.
Thats maybe, why some planets are dead?
This somehow is a setup from the start, of the Entropia universe. Which shouldn't hold true as of the VU 15.*.**
and maybe should be considered out of date.

No, it's not really any of your concern. Split of revenue is a contractual issue between the PPs and MA.

yes many of us join PE long ago before any of such choice of planets were here
i spend 47 weeks+a year on ark since is here and still revenue goes to calypso
free choose of planet or any system change for oldtimers will NOT happend
simple reason all oldtimers born before any other planets added to universe PAY to CLD
and MA will not let these money go to any other PP

unless you happen to be holding a Calypso Land Deed which essentially makes it become your concern as you are then slightly involved in that contractual issue as your returns on investment weekly are impacted by the split.

As far as public announcements go, the 50:50 split is they way that it's set up, but there's been some debate about what exactly goes in to feeding that 100% that gets split 50% for a long time. Some continually argue that auction fees go back in to loot pool, but a statement from a very long time ago on a website about a now defunct affiliate program stated otherwise...

http://www.entropiaforum.com/forum/showthread.php?202385-Question-on-income-and-calculations (the bit about taxation without representation still bugs me even though I sold off my shop, booth and apartments... Maybe the virtual president can do something about it before we have to throw a virtual tea party)

If 100% of auction fees go in to the split and does not feed the loot pool, it should, in theory, make the amount to be split somewhat stable in direct relation to the amount of auctions on any given day.... However, since the last few weks of cld roi has been 'dynamic'ly low, it makes you wonder... Events like MM should not impact the amount to split as much as some believe it did as on some days you'd suspect that the amount in auction fees to split would be higher than the decay fees to split even if the event giveaway amounts were up to the amount that the decay was... but it's all speculation as Mindark won't ever reveal this level of details as they still haven't addressed the Ask Mindark thread listed above that's been sitting out there for 4 years or so so far...

think about the auction transport fees feeding the galactic-transport-mission which is not in place yet!
don´t forget about their future projects announced for now but gathering money for as long as one may want...
    ...

edit: added 3 points to stimulate furher thinking of forum users

I was born on Next Island.... the owner and team there does not deserve anything i generate. I had thought to chip out after my Soc fled NI and changed our name.
I would prefer to be called a "Ronin", but for some reason since the planet is in default and "timing out" with the PP agreement, I think Calypso has adopted me... If i had a choice I would go with Arkadia

The choice to change would be nice, though I have no intentions of doing so. I found out about this a bit over a year ago and made the choice to start over as an Arkadian. My then avatar was about 1.5 years old and didn't have any particular valuable skills so it was "easy" to make the choice. But for those who have more years spent and more skills earned I assume the process would be different.

The reason for the choice, if anyone is interested, was because I started disliking Caly and its newcomer-unfriendly planet (quests, mobs, scarce TPs). Arkadia is much more newcomer-friendly when it comes to quests and mobs (not to mention player base), and you don't need a vehicle to manage.

As far as I know things are like this:
    - 50% goes to MA
    - 25% goes to the PP on which planet you are
    - 25% goes to the PP under which you registered

So by choosing where to hunt/mine/craft, you already put 25% in the pocket of the PP of your choice.

The other 25% I see justified pretty much like a "referral" fee - each PP spends some money on advertising and attracts a number of people to the game; you may later decide that you like another planet, but you are still in game because of their initial advertising efforts; like if you joined when there was only Caly, it's not like you did it thanks to Arkadia/Cyrene/Rocktropia, which were not even existing at that time.

I'm one of many who started on Calypso when there was no other planets Thinking back it might have been even a couple of years before we could travel in Space to the Crystal Palace. Naturally, back in those days 100% went to MindArk who build and added new content on Planet Calypso.
But then Space opened and new Planets were colonized. MindArk split into the Platform-compagny and the First Planet Calypso-Planet Partner. And we got to the point were our revenue is splitted like you too said:
    - 50% goes to MA
    - 25% goes to the PP on which planet you are
    - 25% goes to the PP under which you registered

At first I stayed on Calypso, so it was no problem for me were or how my revenue was split. But later, as I heard more talk about how good Arkadia is compared to Calypso, I sold all my stackables, packed all my tools and gear, and migrated to Arkadia. The keyword here is migration. Calypso is my 'fatherplanet' so to speak, Arkadia is my 'homeplanet'. I, and I believe many with me, feel that we are forced in having our revenue splitted towards a planet that we no longer support to the full. I have no problem with the 50% part that flows to MindArk - they are the ones who took me in and let me grow-up on Calypso. That is not the Planet Calypso we see today.
I would like to have an option to choose our 'homeplanet' that gets a percentage of my revenue. Not the Planet Partner where I joined from back in the days when there were no Planet Partners at all. I am willing to pay a small amount for this option as well.

Till that happens, I might search for some Calypso Land Deeds in order to get a tiny portion back from what I keep feeding Planet Calypso with against my will. ???
