Players often require specific amounts of resources for a multitude of reasons. Whilst other players have such large stacks in storage that they have difficulty moving due to HoFs and ATHs. Placing multiple stacks in the Auction or in Shops fills their limited allotted selling space. I'd like to propose that Shopkeeper / Vending machine type mechanism be instituted where sellers can pre-load stacks and specify a MU, and players could then buy the specific amounts that they require. For example the AUD NPC that used to stand around, vending deeds. There is also the scope that a seller instead of specifying a MU could "tick box" that he / she would like the MU to be the same as the Monthly or Weekly Auction MU, this would prohibit undercutting and limit owner price maintenance.
Wouldn't that be in effect bypassing the AH ordering system? and the dreaded fees? I agree this would be a good thing but I doubt it would be implemented for that reason. It would be useful if there were a terminal in shops where the crafter owning the shop had a list of required ingredients that you could trade stacks in.
No, 2 ways to do this: A. % Tax charge (paid by the buyer) same as what is currently applied to Shops or Shopkeepers. OR B. Sales charge (like the auction house) when the seller "loads" stock onto the vending unit.
nice idea. been around a while... http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?137739-Improve-shop-keeper-functions As far as current decay costs go, I believe that at the moment shopkeepers decay 10 pecs per sale, and that's a shop owner's responsibility... in addition to sales that customers pay... taxes are a charge that gets added to the markup cost passed on to customers. I believe that the lowest possible tax is 2 pecs per +1 ped markup, where one pec goes to PP and other to the LA owner of whatever LA that the shop or shopkeeper is located on... which means nothing in any shop can go below +1 markup by owner, which is +1.02 that customer sales for... and if sk is involved that shop owner is paying .10 in addition to whatever that the customer is paying in the form of decay... so it's very difficult to sell small amounts of stackable items in any shop or blueprints with +.99 markup on auction history as shop owner will have to price things at +1.02 as lowest possible markup, so auctioneer automatically has a one up vs shop owners, even if auction sellers are paying more than shop owner is via the auction fee that gets paid regardless of if sale happens or not on auction. Not sure what auction order fee is at the moment since I rarely use that functionality of the game... I think formulas may have changed in recent years, but if not old posting about them is at http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/f...fee-question&p=2676474&viewfull=1#post2676474... As far as aud npc goes, he was a 'cheat' to the system that A Team created by making the sale possible as a 'mini quest'. Not sure it'd be possible to have actual players utilize that mechanism unless some new system is added by Mindark?... If they did add a new system, maybe they could add in automated blueprint crafting to the system to... where stuff is automatically crafted if certain number of items of each needed ingredient are added.... long ago Mindark mentioned factories... that'd be the way to go in making this type of thing happen...
