I had gotten used to buying a little acceleration buff from a stable when going on a melee hunt. It seemed like the most reasonable offer, since I don't need it all the time. But none of the three stables on Arkadia sells any acceleration buffs anymore. In fact, two out of three sell nothing at all anymore. The last one has some leftover pet & taming booster nobody seems to need.

We've gotten ourselves into the pet thing again after MA's multi-year hiatus until the new system was done, some are more excited than others about it but it has become a part of the game now. Let's for a moment not talk about how they've gone completely off the rails with their making it rain cats and dogs, literally, and all the other stuff which simply doesn't fit into this universe.

What I want to know is, what the hell happened that the business is completely dead so shortly after it has been introduced? I've been told in chat that it's all the strongbox stuff, pills and rings and whatnot, that rendered the pet idea pretty much obsolete. Surely stable owners have invested quite a bit of money and must feel royally screwed, if this is true.

Does somebody have more insight, is there any future at all for this or shall I stuff my pets in the juicer and sell any leftover nutrio before everything becomes worth zero?

It seems like another MA idea which was hyped and then forgotten about. They make $$ from strong boxes but nothing from pets. If buffs stacked it wouldn't be an issue as people would want multiple ways to get buffs etc. However, they dont. So why would people pay a fortune (and wait months) to level a pet for a speed buff when you can get twice the buff from a pill, easily obtainable from a drop box?

This smacks of pay to win. The stables were released months ago and dont even have a proper stable like model yet. Taming is not a profession rather a side line for those who can be bothered. (unfortunately I am one of those who can be bothered).

What i posted on pcf a few days ago:

The Cyrene stable is now closed for a number of reasons: some non-working stable buffs, it costs more to have it open then to have it closed, lack of reply from MA on support cases, and ofc the new rings which make most stable buffs obsolete.

We just wait until the stables get a purpose again, and I know more stable owners are currently in a 'let's wait and see what happens'-mode.

I guess the same goes for the arkadian stables.
Personally i'm really disappointed in MA, and won't do any big investments into virtual property again.

Normally it takes a few months at least for a new investment to get screwed over but you guys got it in record time and no I wouldn't be happy either if I'm honest so I can't blame you for your stand at all.

I've learned on my travels through Asia that with enough chili you can't tell chicken from kangaroo or any random road kill... and you always get a friendly answer when you ask :biggrin2:

But virtual grill parties out of the worst offenders' meats would be an idea indeed :devilish:. There is already a grill and complete kitchen equipment in game, but you can only look at it. Or if Vixen would eat them sausages, and if you could turn all the yapping and flapping puppies, kitties and rodent pest into Atrox food, or unleash him to grab whatever is within earshot by himself... ahh no sound can be such a bliss also.

So much for that again. Thanks for responding on the business. It is as I heard and suspected. I've been wary of any serious undertaking in this VR from the moment I learned about their ridiculous withdrawal times and how they justify them. Such things are always a red flag. That doesn't make it any less alluring, because ideas and seeming opportunities keep popping up as you spend your time in world. But in the end we're playing a game and we're paying for being entertained, that's all there is to it.

I like all of the pets. The regular ones and the odd ones and even the freaky ugly ones that give me nightmares lololol.
