On my professions page it states:

    Achieved Professions: 87
    Unachieved Professions: 1

Is there an easy way to find out what the missing profession is? I want to do something to nail that final profession! Or at least get it achieved.

I think Ive worked it out. I think its Mentor! could be wrong but I assume this is a profession and as I have never been a mentor, I wont have any skill points in it, so makes sense.

...and to "unlock it" you need how many successful pupils? 10?

As far as I know (I'm not a mentor) you need just 1 skillpoint in Mentor, wich is given randomly after a graduation. ie. just like any other "activity" you sometimes get a green line, and some other time you don't.

Nope, I have 2 points in the Mentor skill but the Mentor profession is still unachieved, so more than two must be needed but no idea how many.

Did a little search on PCF, you need >10 points in the skill and that takes >10 disciples it seems. That will push the profession to 0.001%, enough to display and thus unlock.
Link to thread on PCF It's an rather old thread though, from 2012.
I might try mentoring myself, having that Mentoring still unlocked after 10 years feels ... humh ... incomplete. :coldfeet::bookworm::coldfeet:

Well... I have 2 unachieved Professions after 8+ years. I believe Mentor is for sure one of them as the few Disciples I've had gave up before graduating (not my fault though :angelic:).
There are a few others that are hard to achieve: Reviver, Jammer and Material Designer. I'll have to check to see if I can find the missing ones.

I have both Material designer (Level 0) and Jammer (level 5). No idea how I unlocked those. It must be mentor I am outstanding!

I have of these rare once,
Material Designer at level 0.2 - I made a couple of clothes one time.
Jammer at level 8.5 - you get that with things like Concentration and Athletics .
Face Sculptor at level 0.5 - exact same as Hair Stylist and Body Sculptor, and never done any of these, all gained slowly with Agility and Dexterity.
Colorer at level 1.9 - small gain by Dexterity, Intelligence and Agility, can't wait to get to level 2.0 lol.
Enhancer Manufacturer at level 1.4 - gained with Intelligence, few crafting runs of wich one a try-out of Enhancers.
Vehicle Engineer at level 1.8 - can't remember making just one, so must come from the sparse crafting runs.
Gunner (Hit) at level 5.8 - gained by all-round shooting once per month.

I also scan a lot, but I don't believe one of jjmatrix' missing profession is gained purely with scanning. Also, search for one of jdedge's thread on PCF, there is one with all the profession and wich skills contribute and how much.

The ones I'm missing are Mentor and Material Designer (both in Miscellaneous). If you haven't done any coloring or clothes crafting, it could the same for you JJ

I've found the missing ones: Mentor and Metal Engineer. I did some crafting of Metal Sheets so my BP is at 4.2 QR... but apparently not enough.

I'm not sure that this is it. I have achieved professions I never touched with a single click, like Hair Stylist and Body Sculptor, only through the increase of general attributes. In fact for quite a while I used to proudly wear the title "Inept Hair Stylist" to the amusement of bystanders, but now I am "weak" and it doesn't work as a joke so well anymore.

Some Professions are easier to achieve than others: I'm also Hair Stylist and Body Sculptor.... yet I've never touched he stuff.
Why some are harder? As an example look at the skills required for Metal Engineer:
    • Intelligence (Attribute)
    • BluePrint Comprehension (Hidden skill needs unlocking)
    • Equipment Methodology (Hidden skill needs unlocking)
    • Industrialist (Hidden skill needs unlocking)
    • Metallurgy
    • Engineering
So... if you're not much of a crafter, this one is kinda hard to unlock.

    Intelligence is always hard :p

Sorry, couldn't resist, hehe. Strange though, I really am not much of a crafter, but I did achieve Metal Engineer lvl 1 (before I started VSE skilling just a few days ago). I only ever did a few small crafting runs in relevant bp's a long time ago, all together not even 1000 clicks. Very few more in electronic and mechanical components. Most intelligence points I got from sweating and use of mindforce applications.

I agree about the Intelligence part :D
Yeah... I'm not sure how these skills are gained, but Crafting Metal Sheets (the BP requires Metal Engineer profession) should be right on the dot. As I said, my BP has a QR of 4.2... apparently not enough clicks.
