How about a happy tag for a when a post just makes you smile ? I have to admit, I wish there were more tags that I could be funny with. Like the recent how old are you thread. I'm clicking the gratz button when someone says their age lol I'm sorry that adding tags is alot of work for you though. So if you can add any more fun ones, I truly appreciate the effort

 

But Pharrell Williams face would be a too small icon to use.

Though probably some/most/all are not going to achieve the "Post Rating" status.
So here is a 'consolation prize' for every suggestion: an emote that approximately expresses the gist of it.

Lol dw, I don't think anyone was thinking about that (at least before you mentioned it).
And if a 'Thank you' rating could ever be added, that would already be great. (<-- meant as a positive 'Optimistic', not a neutral one)

But it's no secret that I like animated smileys.
Admittedly, sometimes the use of 'foreign' emotes is a bit excessive.
In my defense: the standard ones are not overly expressive, many look the same to me.
Though that could also be due to my failing eye sight... /coff

 

maybe a 'Sticky' one to suggest or support a thread being stuck.

 

Noticed the Dislike seems to be awol now.
Anyways lots of great ideas in this thread, and hopefully we get a Thank You rating.
Any thoughts on a rating called Please Clarify or perhaps just use a simple question mark (?)

 

Mods, put the dislikes back, else I need to express that rating in words and that is a lot more intrusive which greater potential for forum problems.

Yup. Reacting to individual problems with measures that restrict everybody's freedoms got us into the whole mess we're in. We're brought up this way, so no reproach. Just a plea to become conscious of it whenever such a decision is about to be made.

 

May I ask what happened? Ratings are harmless so what's the big fuss?

 

Nothing about it is worth a fuss, the move is symbolic though. We got dislikes pulled because someone needs to calm down.

 

I found the thread. Can't say I'm surprised at the various reactions. But to pull the ratings just because some people can't handle disagreements is just stupid. Remove ALL ratings then.
