Arkadia Forum has a Gaming Corner, where you can play the following browser games:
    Goodgame Empire
Goodgame Empire is a great strategy title by Goodgame Studios. Build your own castle, create a powerful army and fight epic player versus player battles on a dynamic world map. Crush your enemies, conquer land and rise to the ruler of a mighty empire!

    Goodgame Big Farm
Uncle George has left you his farm, but unfortunately it’s in pretty bad shape. Using business skills and the help of your neighbors, family and friends you can turn the overgrown barnyard into a beautiful and prosperous farm again. Plant the right crops, harvest and process them, care for your animals and make sure that your workers are happy – this is how your farm will grow successfully.

Goodgame Shadow Kings - The Dark Ages
Fight side by side with elves and dwarves against orcs and the forces of evil! Defend your city and become the most powerful lord of all!

They are the same games as on their own site, but now directly accessible inside the forum page. [IMG]
It still requires you to sign up with: player name, email and password.

I'm curious what everyone thinks about these additions?
    Will/do you play these games?
Are they a nice distraction, or will they detract from your EU time?
And are these the kind of games you like to see on the forum, or perhaps you'd prefer shorter/quicker games a la Tetris/Candy Crush?
Would adding a poll be handy?
Should I stop asking questions? [IMG]

If games are going to be implemented they should be tied to the forum login session, not a third party. Often times games like this are included as a way to gain some extra revenue, I dont know for sure that its the case here, but I cant rule out that possibility.

Well, the games are nice, but I got a few other games to play when EU is offline (EVE / PoE) but the idea of having to sign up just to play those 'forum' games is not my thing.

Maybe post links to a website that you don't have to log in for to play the game. Like http://www.findtheinvisiblecow.com/

The idea itself is kinda cool... to have a browser game to play during afk time... for example while crafters craft... but I think that if they want to do that, it should share same login and for example auto add your forum friends... just like when you play them from inside facebook, there is no need for a second login and your friends list is autopopulated with your facebook friends... otherwise I really see no reason to not go play them at the said site instead.

Hm, there doesn't seem to be much interest in these games.
Which is a bit of a shame, because Forum games are a nice idea, and can be a fun addition.
I enjoyed playing a simple clicking game while crafting or sweating ('in addition' to EU, not 'instead of').
But these MMO's don't lend themselves very well to 'play on the side'.
And yeah, the signing up/in doesn't help in the slightest.

When I saw "Forum games" I initially imagined a simple game within this system, where you maybe even would have a chance to win some Credits.
Unfortunately that was a wrong guess, since they are games from a third party, with their own forums and support.
Hosting your own game I can imagine, but how would another company's game help?
Do you mean with the Goodgame Partner Program?
Which looks good for sites and forums, but perhaps less for a forum of another game?
Isn't that a bit like introducing your clients to a competitor? Or are their players supposed to come here?
Btw, I tried the invisiblecow, lol, over 13 million cows found. Mooh. [IMG]

The invisible cow is fun for a few tries, but then it gets boring.

well, this is one of the reasons i kinda questioned the future of the forum? (meaning me, noone else)
i was at the edge to post a very mean and in a way threatening/subversive thread i´m not gonna do now...

i´m kinda concerned of the new additions and the implications which `might` follow.
anyone thought about this being a private forum? not constantly monitored by bots? it is not! is it?!
now we got a obvious connection to a somewhat casual gaming-portal??! wtf?!

all i hope and bid for is that paf- and ark-team won´t sell our profiles or give other parties any chance to gather information about us!

not just a paranoid rant but a serious concern about the integrity of our data here.

Have you heard about the windows 10 EULA that they can basically record/monitor anything you do? That's not as bad as this is really. (and many people saying that it will go away when win10 goes live for the world)

have you heard about microsoft giving windows 10 away for free even to illigal copies, not making em legal, but make em kinda within their reach?

EDIT: found the "source": re-engage they call it :D
    https://www.thurrott.com/windows/wi...soft-is-not-giving-free-windows-10-to-pirates

and doesnt google already monitor/read all ur mails and search querys?

I´m more concerned about the info you could get from this forum about sales/buys and overall credit/financial standings. this is very significant information, dont u think?

Okay to make thing clear to everyone who was wondering and before any questions come out that are irrelevant to the situation at hand,
the Good Game Empire and Good Game Farm have been implemented for your entertainment when you are away from Entropia and just browsing the forum.

To clear matters up even further, We will never give away details to other companies that is store on our forum database and to top that off, you can review your profiles and see there has never been an occasion that we have requested payment details from you.

These games have been added for your enjoyment and it is completely up to you to take part in or not. It has a complete independent registration process and is not connected to the forum details.

I hope you enjoy the games.

Forum games are just that, forum games. Not third party game sites. I already play another online game just like these "forum games" and have no intentions of starting up another one (some say I have a gaming addiction...).
As for Google... it's not called Big Brother for nothing (and is the reason why I avoid as much Google use as possible).
