█ Gallard █ Description: Colloquially referred to as the "Bush Turkey", this creature was initially assumed to be an aggressive predator, much like other species that had been encountered on Arkadia. However, studies over time have revealed it to be relatively harmless. When in conflict it will duck and weave incessantly, trying hard to distract its foes so as not to allow a clear shot. It even back flips on occasion in order to escape confinement. When it does attack, it never seems to do so openly, choosing to stun its enemies with its thick and heavy skull, while seeking an opportunity to stab them in the back with its large beak. Looted Body Fat from gallard. This is my first body fat drop from gallard in 10.5k kills... pretty rare, I guess. Also got a Piron PBP-0 (L). They drop pretty often, actually.
Oh there's a huge spawn of gallard on machinery plant. Idk how to direct with north south thing, but step on tp, face outpost, past on left side of outpost down the hill, you will find them.
That would be north-east of the TP. Thanks for finding this. No more Quarry visits!! I can also confirm the Piron drop. :biggrin2: Oh and Gallard seem to have an average kill cost of 6-7 pec (700+ killed in two separate tests (S.I Psy-blade, maxed)).
I'm getting kill costs of < 5.5. What are you doing that you're wasting that much money? Ah, I see... unamped weaponry. I'm hitting ~2.95-2.98 eco.
I never test with anything but a weapon. I want the base cost, not adjusted cost due to amps and stuff. I also try to have at least 100% Skill Increase Progress. Besides, some days just suck in terms of 'Target evaded attack' or 'Failed' attack due to lag. Oh and I don't reduce cost due to sweat gathered as that skews the result.
Does anyone encounter slower skill gains when killing gallard.. versus monura or hornets? Example would fully exhausting an SI Scorp and HK110, i gain around 130 skill points (as level 20 laser dmg, 22 laser hit) and doing the same with gallard i get about 35 skill points (same level). this usually translate to about .08 -.10 levels of DMG and .075-.095 levels of HIT for Monura and only .02-.025 levels of DMG for both HIT AND DMG when hunting gallard.
