Does anyone use the free one? I have never been able to use it myself, I tried on 4 different PC's but the options are greyed out for me. I had assumed that it was non-functional??
I checked it out when they first started the project. The free version is like listening to and speaking thru a tin can and string kiddie phone thing you did when you were like 5. I paid a month on the top tier voice package and it still worked crappy. I suppose it would work ok if everyone had same tier but since they hacked the bps into varying scales of quality it all reverts back to the lowest set up being used and thus cancels the entire perceived value of the service. Not to mention why pay for a service that is free in every other MMO or to mention other far better quality services like Skype for gaming. I originally looked into it thinking that would be the base used to make Rocktropia actually Rock so people could interactively start a studio as promised. Its just IMO another bright idea fed to them that promised money and roses making the brain children at HQ heady with dreams of more money for the family binnis.
