Arkadia Chat Channels

Announcing three channels to facilitate Arkadian Chat:

#arkadia (for general Arkadia chat or chat about Arkadia)
#arktrade (for trading anywhere on Arkadia)
#aud-owners (for anyone who owns an Arkadia Underground Deed... good place to talk about promotion)

Remember, these channels can be accessed anywhere in the universe and are public. To join a channel simply type this into your chat box (substitute the channel name).

Just made one #ArkadiaEvents

I will use this channel to:

-Promote upcoming events
-Remind participants of a starting event
-Explain rules of events
-Chat during my events

You all get the idea. Check my link in Signature to see what I'm trying to accomplish with the events.

 

I just found out there's a line at the bottom of the EU release notes saying:

"Private and public channels will be wiped in the next patch due to technical reconstruction."

Yes, so if you have a private channel, do a /listmembers before the patch so you can know whom to re-invite.

 

I also figure out that for some odd reason Rookie channel is hangging all chats

 

The rookie channel does freeze for sometimes long periods (for me) but i haven't noticed that it affects my private channel at all.

We have a private channel for current miners and I may be setting up a public channel to assist with ore selling after the reset next week.

Have been in #Arkadia for a while now. Not too sure if I want to be in a planet wide trade channel. Maybe I will join as and when I need to sell / buy things. Anyway *bump*

 

#Arktrade is not super busy but there are a good number of users. If you need to trade, it's the channel to use.

I've alrdy subscribed to too many channels that I can't see the close tab option below anymore

Well, I have a lot of channels, but only 4 tabs. I have at least one channel of each planet also all main channels of Arkadia and my own ch, where I talk with pple while doing Taxi. The thing is, when ur on a place turn off all other unused chs as I do with the planets I'm not at that moment.
