so today i got enuf of calys migration (its some ol' buuullshit) and decided that i headed back to arkadia, but then i remembered that when i left there all the guns i normally used were withdrawn from AH or bought.. so decided to check arkadias AH.. No guns.. checked calypso AH if i could bring some with me.. No guns.. so now im kinda stuck on what should i do so my suggestion to team Arkadia is.. Increase the drop of weapons from mobs during such events on calypso for example lets take cap-34 jungle which drops from huon.. okay so ive killed about 4k huons.. ive looted 1 cap-34 and oh yeah they dropped cap-35 also.. never seen those same with kadra.. ~4k killed and looted 1 cap45 and 1 asi42 and now lets see oratan miners.. when they were introduced they dropped a cap32 desert for nearly every global.. i managed to hoard these 21 pieces to my storage before it was nerfed in the fix patch.. after that i started to use em myself.. i could easily shoot 300ped worth of em in a day.. so that 21 pieces didnt last that long So is it really that bad to see weapons in loots... atleast during times like migration in calypso... coz only thing that is blocking me for coming back to arkadia is the fact that there are no guns to shoot with and if i see some crafters crying that it affects their market.. why the hell aint u providing enuf guns then!! PS! i could find use for herman asi ten edition also ;D
Imo increasing the drop rate of guns is not good for the whole economy of Arkadia. Because mob drops the gun can also being crafted, but most hunters just want to sell it and don't care the markup, so it would directly affecting crafters and the demand of Arkadia minerals. I think this situation could be improved easily by creating some looted only weapons to fill the SIB gap and eliminate those crafted weapons from loot table. So hunters won't be compete with crafters directly.
well creating new weapons aint bad idea.. but aint there too many weapons already.. and what comes to crafted weapons.. cap-45 jungle.. ive seen only few pieces in AH which seem to be looted coz of the tt of those.. so that tells me no one is even making these.. so doesnt affect that.. cap-34 i see always 4-8 pieces in AH.. which is good coz these i usually use coz they are available.. but now.. none.. and the next pistol in AH i can find is lvl21.. which has way less dps than the ones im used to.. so if the crafters dont bother filling the AH with guns that have demand then we need to start looting em.. and when we see that the AH is getting filled with these we stop looting em simple as that.. like with the cap32 desert.. the price dropped from 127% to 108% in 2 days.. but when they stopped dropping the price flew back to the 127% in a day or 2.. and i had enuf to hunt for days
Buy my guns, including cap34J. I'm not crying but its bullshit to say the guns aren't available and you know it cos you asked me last night before you made these posts.
sry kikki but u sell em ~5% more expensive than they usually are in AH.. and didnt know about the cap45j's (i actually checked ur booth in celeste 3 days ago when my bro wanted to team and didnt have any gun close to his dps and there was none).. but ill check ur shops out.. im heading back to arkadia atm.. all tho i brought some guns with me.. so takes some time to shoot those
Yep I appreciate my prices don't always match AH mu and I totally understand people looking elsewhere for cheaper. While I pay attention to MU I don't tie my prices to them. My prices need to reflect the cost of manufacture. My feeling is that hunters will generally sell looted weapons cheaper but crafters offer a consistency of supply. My main restriction is being able to source the crafting materials which is highly dependant on mining activity on Arkadia. My booth holds one of each weapon I make so if someone buys the one u want then it will be missing till I get online and make more. Best to check the shops which hold 2 of each gun and are less likely to be out of stock. Regards, KikkiJikki
Well since your need reflect price yur cost , ours miner need do same But i usual mine all day and want expand peds cycled(if have nice agreement can up amps ) Rank #4 at Miniinglog : My skills : TM6 , F106 Jhan Delarea Freitas if your need ore/emt your know where your get ( treasure to ) Usual i look for Auction Orders to can sell quick at nice mu , drop orders crafters i sure to you miners be very happy
Don't forget . When they run events on Caly all that money has to come from some where to pay for it so looted weapons and minerals get cut on other planets to feed Caly hunters doing the migrations. Two days before they start returns drop by avg 34% and stay that way til the event on Caly is done for at least 3 days before they restabilize. Has always been that way in the 7 years I have played. Usually by the end only the richest of crafters can afford the loss to keep their shelves stocked. Wasn't bad when migration was a 2 week event, this 10 week crap is just ridicules and hurts more of the player base then it entertains by far.
No, they don't "take" from other planets, they earn that money from the players taking part in the event.
And you have proof of this? I hold a very stable return when I play it only varies by a few ped and I mean less then 30 ped above or below tt spent. When they hold an event on Caly even when I was there I get a guaranteed loss of roughly 34% for the duration of their events. Has been like this since day one. Since I have been on Arkadia from day one and this STILL happens I can safely state that they take from other planets to pay for the elite to have their fun on Caly.
I don't think crafted guns should be looted. It defeats the purpose of crafting. I hope the Dev team rectify this issue.
If the crafters would be the only source for a certain weapon, there inevitably will be periods of low supply (possibly because of lack of components/ores somewhere down the food chain, too high prices, etc). Could create a vicious circle - no weapons to gather needed loot, therefore no loot to craft the weapons! lol So, i believe the balancing system was devised (years ago) that makes craftable/lootable weapons rare drops while there's enough supply from crafters, and automatically increases the droprate when low supply. On Caly there was lootable versions with stats close to the craftable ones and those worked the similar way. Sometimes, it seems, this balancing system breaks down. Maybe the system sees there's enough supply in all the shops and booths, but players don't know where to look? Or.. maybe it's simply bugged? It all boils down to number of active players. Even the perfectly balanced system starts to cough and choke if this number drops too low. The Caly Migration has decreased Ark population, so i blame MA!
The advantage of having craftable weapons that also drop from loot is that players dont need to buy a weapon to try it out. If they loot a particular weapon and give it a go they may find they really like it and then seek out more from crafters. If the only way to get most of the weapons is from crafters then players will most likely stick with what they know. THe trick is to have the balance correct. Enough weapons dropping to 1) give the hunter reasonable chance of MU loot and 2) provide exposure to arkadian weapons but not have so many weapons dropping that they dont need to go to the crafters at all. Done right, it's good marketing that helps the crafters. Done badly it screws up the market and leads to decline for demand in looted resources. Maintaining consistency of supply is not always possible for the crafters. We are dependent on miners (and to a lesser extent hunters) going out and mining the stuff we need. Last week I had all sorts of trouble sourcing enough edres and quantium. This week it's erdorium. And the new stuff for the higher level weapons is still pretty much fucked up. We had a burst of finds shortly after the VU and very little since. I don't know if the miners are not looking or just not finding.
Well, you just said you had a 34 % loss at Calypso and a 34 % loss on Arkadia, that means they take from you, not the planet. Calypso have the events, they don't control the loot, MA does. And why should they "take" from other planets when holding events bring in more money than it cost them? It has no logic.
Well lets start at the top of the list why... MA are untrustworthy scheming bastards that have done shady shit the entire existence of EU. 2nd Caly is run by the son of the head person at MA.. he is protected from failure no matter what he does. The head of Caly has all the insider information he can get and uses it regularly to keep the "Favor" on Calypsos side. Next I was born on Caly so I get screwed paying them for NOTHING simply because I was born there and don't have the option to pick what planet I support with the ped I do cycle. Lastly I am not the only one that notices when Caly runs events we take it in the ass to pay for it EVERY TIME. 7 years of play has proven this over and over and over. But I see Bill that you are from Sweden and must protect the home team so you are forgiven for now.
Many of us have found that during events our returns fluctuate even more wildly than usual and don't play during them. That Caly seems to be having one event right after another isn't helping. Ark had it's ten event but how many more are Caly going to have before people have had enough. The Ten events were supposed to be universe wide but after the first few they seem to have stopped. The RT banana event is still running as it recently got extended but the Cyrene event got cancelled due to MA not fixing certain bugs. Remember that a PP gets a smaller percentage if their player is on another planet as such drawing players with events to Caly means less money leaving the MA group than if they played here, no matter what planet the player started on. Plus we know MA didn't have a great year in 2012.
well the caly event seems to affect all the planets what it comes to loot.. had 2.8kped the day migration started and now i got 500ped... 1500ped from that i lost the first 2 days of the migration on longtooths and exa elites.. then moved to arkadia.. and it doesnt seem its helping much... not as badly but still losses.. but like spike said that ppl shouldnt participate during events.. but these days the events are everyday shit... in the past years ive been a miner during such events but ive seen it clearly that its the proff that suffers most from the hunterbased events..
The rares are controlled by MA and seem to come in waves... it's not the fault of the miners for not finding it. As for the "commons" that are in short supply, Edres is mostly just found in one server now, and not plentiful, and Quantium has been removed from Ark completely, so it must be imported now.
I'm blaming you Neil, just you. On a more serious note, I've bought quantium off auction in small quantities in the last month. If it was imported the numbers would be bigger and more rounded (eg 100 units, 100 pedTT, etc). I don't believe a material used in Arkadian bps would be completely removed.
