Mining activity from Oratan has affected colonist mining! PTech has reported disturbances in recent yield allocations, which engineers believe may be linked to a series of Oratan-infested mines that have only just been discovered. They are all within short distances of Oratan camps, for which colonists have map markers. I have been looking for these map markers to find the Oratan camps/mines? Location coords anyone?
Follow the road North of Steadfast there are 2 (maybe 3?) Mines that I saw. Just look for the mounds of dirt, pretty easy to spot in the desert there. I haven't seen any others, but then I wasn't looking for them either.
113, 115 has one just outside pvp (non-lootable). to the NW up the hill there is one just inside pvp that has no event map marker and spawns the miners, in the camp you get fiends or something named close to that. p.s.: camps use wave-trigger for spawning, mines have a manual trigger by going through the entrance (short avatars might have to jump)
I currently know 7 spots (gave them to bjorn yesterday) will update this post later today (after work) with all cords i have. But also i think there are some more. Map Markers would be cool - but the wave areas are near - they have markers. Highest mat so far Guardian - hope to see a spot with Dom - Old Alpha and maybe one with Alpha - Stalker !!! greetings
There are 4 oratan camps north of steadfast. You get a map marker when you enter the wave area. Make sure you have the C box on your map highlighted or you will not see it. The mines are within viewing distance of the camps. These have no map marker. Look for a dome shape with large cylindrical stones sticking out of it. The miners here are the small maturities. There are two more camps with mines northeast of rockypoint tp more than a level 2 tp chip jump away. This is where the larger maturity miners are. The other two camps and mines i know of is north and northeast of Aakas. These are the small maturity miners.
Entropedia knows 8 Oratan Mines, small ones N of Steadfast, medium N of Aakas, prov-guardian NE of Rocky Ridge. Haven't been in the camp NEE of Redoubtable, but if entropedia is correct it has small ones. There's one more Oratan camp/wave N of Valiant thou, gotta check that one out - maybe that's where the biggest ones are hiding?
