The third hunt on oro is finally done, took a few days break in the middle as i didn't really have very much time to play. Do not fall into the trap of wasting peds on overpriced "eco" weapons when simpler and cheaper weapons can get the job done as well. The most important tools a hunter has are his skills and his float, and running decent sized hunts is more important then spending 100's of peds to get a slight 0.0001 dmg/pec advantage.

Cheers, stopped a few times during this hunt in the hope that it will improve loot. Sometimes you just hit a bad phase and need to grind through... I predict another real global/hof from the oro in the last 2,7 kills I have left.
I did a very large sample for this run, cost per kill is way up because of the mutated oro mixed in but I like killing them A small tt-loss this hunt but I should get some good mu for some things and hit 159 hp so pretty happy with the result. I got a gyro 2 smuggler to replace my si-heart fap, and I'm using a cap-25 for the mutated oro I run across. LOL, yeah I had a bit of a shock when looking at the stock levels at our Sanctuary Cove shop today...Thought my monitor was playing up initially.....Didn't half look funny inside the shopkeeper with the female set still red and all the male a rather vibrant purple.... Still, that said, it really looks great in purple! Maybe we can convince the A-Team to bring out a purple range sometime in the future....and I know of at least 1 person that will go bonkers when they see that colour!

This was my last oro run and very glad to finally be finished with this mission, I'll post a mission summary separately ... I won't be able to do this with every mission as I often mix different mobs especially when i hunt bigger. Thanks m8, I had a suspicion that I was getting a good tt-return rate but was a bit shocked to see the end result too. I did try both ranged and dmg enhancers in the opalo one time, but on small weapons they are cost prohibitive. Enhancers work best in very large weapons, my Raw-505 for instance I run always full of dmg enhancers. The reason for this is that with the average break rate of 1/1000 shots I will loose 1 for every 20ped I spend in the opalo vs 1 for every 450 ped spent in the Raw-505. And since enhancers cost the same no matter what weapon you use they only become effective on the very large weapons

I'm not so sure this is true. The Caly staff have stated that break rate is dependent on benefit received, which means that the 1/1000 shots may be true for some weapons, but not for all weapons. It's difficult to get a large enough sample to draw meaningful conclusions on break rates, but I believe attempts have been made on another forum. So, what you're saying may be true, but we just need more info to draw reasonable conclusions. I know, for example, that my average break rate on speed enhancers on my ME/01 is right around 1 per 3000 uses. When I used to own an ME/05 SGA, speed enhancers broke at a rate of about 1/800 uses. That's a significant difference and I suspect break rate is basically the same on weapons. Still, it's just hard to draw good conclusions.
