Have you ever dreamed that your storefront was fully customized to reflect the personality of your business?

Arkadia Studios is now making available an opportunity to do just that!

Simply purchase a 50 item point upgrade (5000 PED's) for your shop and Arkadia Studios will develop your storefront to your design.

    Terms and conditions:

    • Own a shop on Planet Arkadia
    • Buy 50 item points (5000 PEDS worth) in a single purchase.

    How it works:
•Once the transaction with an Arkadia official is confirmed, you can provide us with your design on the template (listed below) we're providing, and unleash your creativity. You don't need to be a brilliant artist, you can use crayons if you like (or you could ask the community for help) - our artists will translate your vision into a design that looks great in game. Once you have made your design, email it to community@arkadiastudios.com.
•A mock up (front view and side views) will be done for you in 1 -2 weeks time.
•Once you are comfortable with the design, a final confirmation will be made.
•We allow 2 changes to be made before the final confirmation.
•The design of your shop-front will be made available in-game in the next Planet Arkadia update.
•If there's a new owner of a shop, the signboard can be changed for a fee of 500 PEDs.
•Removal of the customized shop-front will be done for free.
•Designs are subject to the approval of Arkadia Studios.

This is not a one time offer, Arkadia Studios is making this available on an on-going basis. We really look forward to seeing how creative our community can be.

Nice incentive but wow, if shop owners start to grab this offer up, shops will be resold in the 15-20k+ PED range. That is a lot of sales to make up for that much investment.

I am seeing me never owning a shop on Arkadia :( those prices are just way to high to be worth it IMHO.

    Wow, great!
We must do a custom design with your templates?

And maybe you can offer to change inner look?

    Hi Gewitter,

Yes, you'll need to do a rough design on the templates we provided so we can get a sense of your design.

We are not offering the option of interior design as that will undermine the existing decorations available.

    Thanks for the interest.

    Cheers,
    Cyrus

You can customize any of it and within reasonable limits the design can include props. So you can have an angel on your shop if you want.

I have offered to rent space in my shop if ya want info let me know. I personally think part of the allure of having a shop is not to over crowd/flood the market, I think the amount of shops we presently have is sufficient for the volume/player base we currently have ATM just my opinion. Check with shop owners to see if they will rent you space in their shop.

I have a friend who is going to place a shopkeeper in my shop to sell items. In doing this there is a lot of trust you must have in the shop owner, I think my good name is more important to me than some 1500 ped shop keeper. But it allows the person to see if they would be able to sustain a valued business.

True - there is no need for new shops atm on Arkadia - let player base grow some more

I'm not so sure of that, prices of ark shops are higher then on any other planet. And with this latest opportunity they will probably increase in markup even more.

How would renting work? Can I just go into the shop and manage like my own? Would I get the money in my ped flow center? If not, it just sounds like renting space would be a lot more trouble than it's worth. It's not for the sake of a static display, it's for moving goods quickly and keeping it stocked all the time, which is what I try to do with my shopkeeper.

Anyways don't get me started on the shop problem on Ark! They're too expensive and from the price, there obviously aren't enough to go around.

Harmony it is true shops on ark cost more than shops on caly but look at how caly has flooded the market. When you flood the market you bring the value of any item down, the reason being is everyone is trying to sell the same item and some will reduce their price by just one ped. It sales fast so the next person say wow they are selling them at 20 ped I will sell mine at 18-19 so it will sell faster than his/hers.

With that happening to much value drops. Same with shops to many and not enough ppl and they will have to change the name from arkadia to arkaso. Take a stroll and see how many shops are empty on calypso, plus how many shops can sell weapons, armor, mining equipment? To many pew pew and boom boom shops and the owner will have to lower his/her prices to make a sell.

If to many shops exist in time it would be faster and cheaper to sell it in the auction. Now I still use the auction with my shop I craft 20 swords I don’t want to put 20 in my shop I will put like 4 maybe 5 and store the same then place the others in the auction. So I think the ark team has a great idea to give the shop owner the ability to brand their shop, not only that but they have limited the shop to a perfect amount at this time.

Renting work like this you pay a fee at the end of the week or month. when an item sales I contact you or you can collect weekly/monthly/daily the only one that has work to do it me lol you give me the items and i place them in your shop keeper once its set up it is fairly easy to run you sale an item you replace it or not no up front money needed you pay at the end of the week/month you are able to track you items just my looking in the shop keeper. i play more than 40 hrs a week and im on everyday so contacting me is not an issue if you need better contact I could provide my cell number and a private email that reaches me personally.

I already have a shopkeeper that I can restock myself for free so I think renting probably wouldn't be much benefit. I get quite a bit of volume as it is, from repeat customers so I don't know that putting it in a shop would increase volume. What I need is display points rather than another shopkeeper.

    This is a great idea, but I have some questions;
    1. If you have already upgraded by 20 item points, is another 50 item points possible? Or would an extra 30 item points qualify?
    2. Lag is bad at Celeste Harbour, how does the Ark team aim to reduce lag with all these shops with 50 extra item points and highly detailed new shop fronts?

I will be looking at this as a very serious option.
    Cheers Bjorn
