Hi everyone! I am completely new to this game. I have come here after spending a year or two of playing Fallen Earth and i was looking for something similar but more complex and expansive. So far i am very impressed. Not really looking to seriously make a profit (although i wouldn't complain) just looking to enjoy the game for the games sake. I have done a bit of homework; reading guides and combing the forum to extract bits of information and form a plan. As well as simply introducing myself in this post i would also like to lay out my starting plan and ask the more experienced members if its a good idea and what advice they would have. I have almost completed the starting mission on Arkadia and i have deposited enough for just over 100 PED to start myself off. I intend to make hunting my profession to begin with and to start i want to use the TT laser rifle. One thing i want some advice on is: During the starter mission i was given a melee weapon and i was wondering if it was worth fighting a few starter mobs (without the armour on to avoid unnecessary decay) using the melee weapon to gain some evasion and defense kills for a while then switching to the rifle to start building my main hunters skill-set? The next thing i wanted to do was build up my own personal map and dossier of the planet (mob locations, teleporters etc) and i thought it might be a good idea to pick up a reasonably priced, cheap to run airborne vehicle. Some people in the forums have suggested the Sleipnir and i was wondering if this is the right choice? Also are there any other newbies that would be interested in learning as we go along with me? especially players that aren't too keen on the idea of investing some money into the game just yet. id be happy to give lifts to gather teleporter locations.
Hello and welcome to Entropia Training one from mission nice finisher for low lvl HP mobs, such as Caraboks. Also it's a good idea to skill some melee later as well, to build up your Strength (it will allow to carry more weight without slowing down your running speed). Check out Entropedia map, maybe it's worth to use it as your starting point to build your own map - Planet Arkadia Map. Or, since that public Wiki, you could expand it with new data as well as fix/improve existing ones. Yep, it's cheapest flying Vehicle, that could be used for space travels as well (with Space Thruster). It will last you near forever, so if you low on PED's it's could be good idea to buy low TT one (around 5-8 PED). Another option is to get "free" promo one. If you plan to deposit more, you could check out Ukash as an option to get Ukash VTOL Mk1 (L). P.S. If you are looking to get Mentor, I could offer you myself, if you are planning to stay here for a long (my last disciple graduated around 3 months ago and I'm free now).
I recommend that new players hunt carabok at first, since they will give you skills fastest. Then as you become more proficient in your TT weapon, you can move up to halix or jori. I'd stick with those at least until you have maxed your first weapon.
That would be great thanks. The forum response to any questions i have had so far have been fantastic, but i would be nice to get some in game step by step help.
Thank you as well I will send you PM here with details how to add me and as well with details about me.
hello, nice to meet you ^-^/ I specifically haven't read the other posts in this thread because they almost always contain offers of mentorship and I don't want to step on anyone's toes specifically. So I'll step on everyones =P Welcome to the game, I've not heard of Fallen Earth but usually people get to this game after experiencing some other MMO or another. My name is Matt/Lard/Lardy and I, like you, live in the UK. I live in Cardiff and am half English, half Welsh, so... British =P The society I am part of, 'Rising Potentials' is as the name suggests, a society made with the direct purpose of helping new and inexperienced players learn about the game and to ask any questions any time with a mix of experienced people and other new players. When one of the experienced players take on a new player as a disciple, they get an inivite to the Society and our aim is to get you to make the most of your peds. To be pennywise and economical and to gain a great understanding of the Entropia Universe. The society has a number of famous Entropians in it, yet essentially its quite a quiet Soc. We don't demand that anyone goes on Soc-hunts or things like that, there's no mandatory policy of logging in a certain number of times a month, shit there's still players who log in and play who have been trying to graduate for years =P that's mainly a weird set of circumstances though heh The Soc-leaders are mostly European timezone although a number of newer players are from Canada and the US, so it'll be nice when we have an online presence that covers most of the day/night, but we're open to anyone and everyone. We'd be more than happy to let you join us, maybe take on one of us as your mentor and hopefully from there you might find your feet in the game and work out what direction you want to go in. Anyways, I'm sure you've had many offers you want to mull over, for me... its time for teh cake! All the best, Lardinho
Welcome Kyriel. and let me say that it looks like you've got a very good plan. I suggest taking on a mentor because it will give access to a Society Chat where you can obtain rapid answers to questions you will have. Lardinho is my Mentor and has been a great help for me but the choice is up to you since there are a lot of good people willing to help on Arkadia. I played Evony for three years and it became a shore protecting my Empire 24/7. here there is no issue of being attacked when you have logged off. Happy Hunting out there.
