    Hello everyone!
Just looted a DNA part from otorugi. As the title says, it's a spine.
I am curios about the price this DNA part may have so I thought I could ask here. I have my own idea in mind but some extra opinions are always a helpful thing.

    Thank you for your effort.
    Cheers!

I've bought a DNA part for 10 ped, and I've seen people asking as high as 5k for a DNA piece.

Tough to say the price. As of right now you have 6 potential LA's for ark, and... what.. looks like 10-20 mobs with DNA looting or more. Ark DNA are specific, and unless the mob is highly saught after to populate a LA... I have a feeling most ARK LA owners will want to put the Aakas zone DNA mobs on the open LA they would own. I am lookin at it realisticly. DNA parts will be highly saught after for short periods in time, aside from that its a buyers market. And that to me suggests to pay low prices as these will likely cause more excitement than value for anyone who loots one. gl with the sale!

Before selling it for cheap few PEDs and making a reseller happy with a big deal later, you can better throw it to TT....

Take your time, talk to some trustful ppl that have experience with such deals and sell only for a fair amount of PED. Indeed it is a bit difficult to find out which Value the Arkadia DNA will have at the end, but that's no reason to sell it for cheap....

Interesting thought. I think this is a problem for many people though. Why tt a DNA part, so someone else with patience can't profit / help the game have more DNA in the longrun? I think asking a reasonable price from the start would be a better idea, dont ya think?

The part in question is not even a server disco, so that means 2x + exist of them. I would think asking 50-250 ped is a good starting spot and go from there... 5k for 1 part... thats worse than a reseller getting it.. thats just plain crazy when they both could very well be worth very little monetarily. Nor does it make a full DNA part as parts are still missing from its creation, isn't even a land area availible to plant DNA on!

also, not to mention the parts are beladoth DNA... 5k a apiece??? You can hunt up to stalker DNA on untaxed land... really compelling a story to pay a 10k amount for 2 parts... Oh to funny... but blame the reseller right? tee hee

If you can't tell already whose asking 5k for each of the beladoth parts.. its the person telling you to tt your DNA parts.

I'd disregard Danton Johnny, get a reasonable start bid and buy out in mind and start a forum bid session, I would join if the start price is reasonable.

Well, thats your opinion, no problem with that :)
Only thing I can tell you that there are serious offers far higher than your suggested price. It's everbodys own business to sell stuff he/she has looted, but when someone asked about, I give my opinion like you gave your opinion. No need that we both agree on it.

Edit: And up to now I believed a PM is a PM and public is public. Lesson learned....

I'm not convinced that is relevant. I've never managed a land area but don't u use multiple dna slots to increase spawn density or area coverage? If so the LA owner(s) will probably be hoping to acquire more than one of a dna part or complete dna.

Get off your high horse dude. Its okay when you do something a lot of people find unethical... I came in to give him a honest feel from what I seen on the market... You come in and tell him to tt it?

I don't know why you even spoke here. Your advice to him was horrible. And your actions with the DNA you obtain are deplorable. Move on Danton.

It has great relevance Kikki. To me it suggests no chance that the spine is the rare part. Is plenty of parts that have not dropped yet. And to have multiple of 1 part dropping suggests to me the otorugi common has been found. Or a great mathmatical chance of it.

Also, by your own admission the land owners will need multiple parts of DNA of each piece. How much can we expect the land owner to pay for a single piece when so many are needed?

So imo, it has great relevance here.

whats funny to me is people think this DNA is easy PED in the bank. What many of you don't realize is they don't have as of now a compelling story to be planted on the land.

Think of why Calypso has land areas of value. It provides a service, or a mob that you cannot hunt in X amount of maturity.

Ambulimax are a saught after DNA because people use that as a sweat mob. I could see a Nusul DNA being worth quite a bit as people love to sweat those. Perhaps the arkadian equivelant as of now.

Make a compelling case for Beladoth? I can find any maturity untaxed! Two spots at least with the highest maturity UNTAXED. I see that Otorugi has at least 1 maturity that is not yet in a populated area yet. So to me that has more value as a second part (50-250 ped) than any beladoth DNA, rare or not.

You people betting the bank on DNA are speculating like crazy with no solid foundation to do so. If you think about DNA, and I mean really actually look at things people would realize all DNA is not created equal. The highest value DNA will come out of aakas. If you find one of those parts I would suggest asking a hefty price. Anything planet side... you better have your reasons!

And I think you are trying to talk the price down for your own benefit. But I wouldnt have raised it in this thread until you attacked Danton. Try and keep the personal attacks out of the discussion.

Yes, this little gem is good for both parties. Either keep it civil or don't bother posting further. If you do post and cause further unnecessary personal issues that take this thread off topic, I'll happily delete the posts and issue infractions.

The OP came here seeking advice. You guys have each had ample opportunity to state your respective cases, which you have done. Now would be a good time to be quiet and let other people say their piece and/or for the OP to absorb the advice given and think his options over.

Best to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt......Salient advice a lot of people around here could do well to adhere to (and not necessarily just in this thread either!).

Well there will always be ppl that trying to get parts cheap, cant blame them for that. Hard to say what it could be worth, I wouldnt sell it for less than 1k ped. Just wait until we have some landowners and the dna parts will be more intresting. Resellers are usually quick in these kind of threads to talk down the price :)

Not sure what this has to do with beladoth.

Otorugi is not the most popular mob, with spawns tucked in remote locations, but it's usually rewarding to hunt for that reason. The youngs are relatively low level and can give good rates of globals. It is in fact the only mob on the planet which does not mature all the way to Stalker, so a nice high maturity spawn could be valuable. As a DNA part owner, you have basically two choices: sell on speculation now or sell to land owners once the Land areas are purchased. Not all mobs' DNA will be used on the LAs, so I guess the trick is to guess which ones will be in demand later on.

Sorry, that probably doesn't help you set a price for it... but right now your "real" buyers (excluding speculators) are zero, later on this year there may be one buyer and several years down the road maybe more, but the price will mostly be determined by how much spare cash the land area owner has and what he thinks the item is worth to him. Remember that each DNA piece is only one part of the total DNA for that mob, and as Oboy said, some of the Aakas mobs might be worth the most.
