Just aim above the snake, halfway between the mob and the name tag.

Aim up toward the roof when killing them, don't aim at the body.

From my point of view most important factor that needed a change was a pretty steady 75% tt return ratio which I (and some people I talked to and read comments) experienced.

    So to add some statistics:
Before VU I did ~15 keys (levels 1-4), in all of them got ~75% tt return
after VU 14.1 I did 2 x level2 and 1 x level4, and got 3x 74-76% tt return (so still steady fuckup). I know Arkoins at the moment have nice MU, and considering that fact You can even end up with profit, but doubt it will stay for long, and I wouldnt like to mix that up with the first subject.

    As for Arkoin data:
    #1 Level2 = ~40tt arkoins
    #2 Level4 = ~100tt arkoins
    #3 Level2 = 0tt arkoins

I have done an 8 and a 9. I got tt return ((ammo + gun decay + amp decay)/loot) of 90% and 86% *not* including the tt value of the keys (160 and 180). I have a feeling the tt value of the keys does not count for the loot return, which means they aren't worth doing unless you are frequently looting blades and it seems like that party is over.

TT value of the keys does count toward loot, and you have to take this into consideration in your costs. This has been demonstrated before. It's not as noticeable with the higher level instances because the key contributes a smaller fraction. But take key 1 for example. The key is 20 ped, the ammo costs 20 ped. Typical loot is about 32 ped. If they key did not contribute toward loot, the return would be 160%. Including key TT it's 80%, same as the other instances.

My solution since you don't waste ammo etc from not hitting the mobs is go autotool on weapon and turn off aim to target (or auto move to target or whatever it is called can't remember right off hand but first option in the general controls setting) in options, this allows you to kind of be a spray effect weapon with any weapon even a knife and just move your mouse around the mob(s) and when your over the target you will hit it when your not who cares it costs you nothing anymore to miss. All you need to do is manager your range of the weapons so you get close enough to the mobs to hit them with whatever weapon you use as targeting the mob will no longer take you into range automatically.

Only annoying thing is you have to remember to switch that option back on or you have to be standing right next to terminals etc to click on them, it will not auto move to any target with the option off.

For sure, I love the new "spray bullets without wasting ammo" feature :)

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the low key returns.

I definitely take the key cost into consideration, which is why I think they aren't worth doing (aside from just gambling for blades or dna).

Then my return %'s were 77 and 74, not including armor+healing (not much).

ya I have been getting less then 80% returns after decay usually, but sometimes a nice item drops, last night an unlimited cumbustive attack nano chip II dropped which has a high markup. So sometimes 5-10 lower return runs get made up for with a nice item. So instances are pretty close to other hunting activities, lately seems to be crap for long stretches then wammo get a good loot then back to another stretch of crap again. Seems to be the trend everywhere these days in EU.

Yep, I think so too... you just need to plan to run many instances, not just one, and adjust the key level to your ped card. If you only have 1k ped available, you will need to stretch it between 10-20 instances, so don't run level 8s. Run a lower level, maybe level 4. Also keep in mind that the good "items" rarely drop from levels 1 and 2 (though each level has dropped good items... so you never know). Just like with hunting... if you only have 500 ped, you shouldn't be hunting yuka.

What level was that nano chip II from?

The TT return for me has been terrible so far. The markup on the precious few Arkoins and other loot I've received no where near makes up for the TT loses. I'm shooting for a full set of armor and if things don't improve for me quickly, I'll probably be done with keys.

The Arkoin Vendor is a wonderful step in the right direction, but it needs a great deal more items for sale. Good start of course. Why not sell low click limited Golden Key BP's? The key parts that we loot very much need to start generating some markup. Limited BP's for weapons, armour and other items would make great additions as well.

Also, has anyone noticed that instances now have terrible line of sight issues? I can run up to a mob directly and still I can't drag a bar off of them. I have to run around and let them hit me several times before they become possible to target. What's going on here? Is it just me?
