Jori Challenge 1000! Unofficial Event-50ped prize

im happy that you are very clear now about this event. I dont have any trouble when you try to make some ped.

And i think the rest of your posts give a completely different view as the first one.

Tip for next time: be open and give the right information. Your first post was saying very different things as your later posts.

Let ME be even clearer. I am going to, at best, make very little ped off this event. It looks like Im going to spend money on this. Fortunatly, I have other ways, primarily attachment and enhancer crafting, to support it. I have made this event for not just noobs, but all of Arkadia, which is event poor. I have imported noob hunters to compete in it from Caly. When you start accusing people of being a rip off, please make sure all the data is in. That is a serious accusation, since reputation is everything.


As for my intentions, at first I posted an overview, and have added, taken away, and updated daily, even hourly, as feedback comes in and things change. I admit, i don't know or understand everything, but given time, things have a way of working out.


For those who are beside themselves wondering when this is going to end, it will when we reach 1000tt hides. As of this moment, we have a grand total of 223ped hides. so we are almost 1/4 of the way done.


At issue is whether or not I should count my hides towards that 1000, do we want this event to end as quickly as possible, or to go on as long as possible so everyone will have more of a chance? Again, I can not win this event.

I simply assumed the event would end very quickly. There is no trolling going on here...
That is why I didn't/don't like the idea of you adding to it to make it end faster. If I am to hunt all of the hides and have a chance to compete with people who buy from auction or already have it needs to go on for awhile.
Also, My post on that thread has nothing to do with pirates, there is a rule about posting players IGN in a negative way and I am legitimately surprised the thread is not closed due to that.

I don't troll posts and I am not a pirate, no need to take my post so personally.

 

Ok, no, this event is going on forever. I am sorry, I do have a tendancy to take everything personally. Deducing you were a pirate trolling is logical, but just as in stoney's case, all the data is not yet in, so I am unsure, but it sure fits.

If you want me to step aside, I can hunt other stuff and still do well, or just with-hold my hides. When pressed to end this contest sooner then later, it will go to the majority opionion, only participants in the contest can decide.

As it sits, you are a majority of one if you are a participant.

Dude, run the competition how you want to run it. Be clear on how that is and stick to it. Worst thing is an event where it's unclear what the conditions are and what the payout is, especially when they change over time.

Some people will be unsatisfied or suspicious, in which case they should just not participate. Your event, your rules.

But try to keep any discussions from getting personal even if you feel provoked cos that just distracts people from the actual event.

This is excellent advice, and Ill take most of it.

I understand from both sides of the fence here, and will not change the rules. They are simple, sell me hides-the one who sells me the most wins 50ped. Or a Jori Gungir.

All the rest are guidelines, and will be adjusted. The reason why am so easily provoked is because I care. I'll try to not care so much!

I have made my second run to Caly to deliver hides and returned. I have spent, including purchase of hides, flight to and from, teleport, re-entry auc fee's and additional prizes, a total of 378.45. I have sold the hides for a total of 376.94 ped. This gives me a net profit of -1.51. Much better then last time, Id say. Lets see if the next run can be even better. I have logged both of these and look forward to sharing the report shortly.

Due to obligations in RL, I will be at quarry collecting hides from 0-2 and 11-1 Entropia Time. I hope this helps us mesh our schedules a little better. I will also be on for more then 4 hours a day on the weekend.

Ok, another Caly run done, and from my side, it don't look so good. Hopefully, even with the glut on the market, some of the product will sell, but some was still left from my LAST run. I have adjusted the rate to a low and high parameter now. I will not pay less then 134 or more then 150%. Sry. Even tho MU shows a musch higher value, there is just not enough VOLUME to support this event, and I can not afford to out of pocket. Less then 500tt hides to go.

And btw, to show my sportsmanship and to maybe to help some of you, the best spot for Jori is NNW of Cyclone Point TP. The small bay on the top left of Sanctuary Cove. Very good spawn and high maturity (prowlers, old alphas, alphas, stalkers). I don't know who owns this LA, but he should advertise I'm sure some newcomers would appriciate
