Higher armor means higher cost when hit, lower armor means lower cost when hit.
Using a healer can help u use a lower lvl armor and more cost efective.
1 more very hard to calculate help is, it lowers your amo cost to kill monsters, since u do not have to stop and heal while a monster is atacking you, the monster regens less and so u use less shots to kill it.
On the othere hand, if u kill a monster and dont have healer, u have to stop after it to heal yourself, so you are still paying for healing....
Becouse of it making hunting faster, a recomendation is to use a healer when participating in a event to kill a certain monster, like the bigest loot wins or so..... Becouse u are time limited and its logical the more monsters u kill the bigger chance you got to get also the biggest loot. I know its alot about luck, but it matters if u have 10 spins at a roulette or only 7. In the long run you will win more events, and those make more profit all at a very low cost. Becouse like i sed healing yourself costs to! And the difrence in costs, u beeing healed by some1 els or yourself is very very low.

Have a wonderful day all, hope u like my post, and some of the hunters will think more about hiring a healer.
I wanted to give a discription only of the economical part of healing for today. Tomorow i will add a reply whit the social part of healing that is also very important.

well in my opinion things dont work totaly like that. If you are killing lets say a mob that has 400 dmg, when the mob has 1 dmg you die, you let the mob to full regenerate and after you come and kill it, you will get doble of the loot that was initialy inside the mob.
This theory is tested on caraboks.
And if a creature has no loot then you will get no loot.
    Hope someone confirm my thoughts.

More than that i dont understand why owners of imkII dont make profit while hunting. With 2.948 eco i get 93% tt return, imkII has 11% more eco so 11%*93% = 102.3% tt return.
And to come back to your post it helps to hire a healer because your mob hits you less.

I agree, the amount of loot you get is determined by the damage you do to the mob (minus overkill). I've tested both. I'm not sure about the ratio... if you do 2x hp damage, will your average loot will be exactly 2x. I can't say precisely... but regen itself does not reduce your loot. However, it is correct to say that when using a fapper, you will kill more mobs with the same ammo than you could without a fapper, if you would have had to stop and heal yourself while getting hit. Would you get more loot with a fapper? Probably not in the long run, but you would pay less defensive costs especially if using expensive armor.

I think it's usually several reasons... First, even if you're level ~70, the eco of is still just average. You have to be above level 100 to get the full effect of eco. Second, I'd imagine that people who are using the gun usually load it up with enhancers to maximize the dps. Third, they probably don't use it to hunt nusul... they're out hunting big things that give them big defensive costs. Fourth... I notice that people who have these guns and use them in an eco fashion (no enhancers, hunt something small) tend not make hunting logs unless they're trying to sell the gun... so I think there's a good chance that yes you can get a positive TT return. Mindark probably doesn't worry too much about having introduced unbalanced items into the universe since if you have the funds for one of these uber guns, you're probably also depositing more than your fair share of decay into MA's pocket too.

Sorry, went a little off topic there.

nice post Neil about healing service. I agree whit u in evry point exept the armor part. There are alot of difrent cases to discus here...
1 would be monsters 1 hit you, even if u put the best armor u got on? why put a armor on then? to add to the decay whit no gains?:D
On the othere hand i have a bit of a difrent recomendation for the healers, to lvl there defensiv skills, Evader profesion as high as possible, also would be cool if do othere stuff to increase life.

NOW to what i promissed yesterday, the social implications:
It helps u make friends. I think it helps in of the profesions to have alot of friends.
If u have alot of friends, u can sell ur loot faster, even if the healers are of low profesion lvls at start, in time they will grow and be stronger and be able to use higher lvl stuff ....
Using the service of a healer, will help him directly to gain skills/ and few ped, most of them are greatful for having who to heal.
You help the society evolve, shure its a small contributions, u are only helping out 1 person, but its still a big contribution for very low additional ped, or even a cost reduction on your side... depends...
Special cases it can help newcomers get over the first stages of game where they have very low skills, and can very easy turn to leaving the game, couse they cant seem to be geting forward.
Also it can help your society, people see u are a good guy, for taking them to heal u, and even if they dont tell u, ur society is on there consideration list of soc they want to join, or if they are in 1, its on the list of soc from which they will pic to join if they are not satisfied whit there current soc.
Also at newcomers, it can help u get a disciple, and if u like the healer, and he likes healing u, and they become ur diciple, u can be pretty shure in time they will graduate, healing gives anatomy skill which is 1 of the skills that can be used to complete disciple.
A short example, not necesarly whit healing, i had a mentor, and first day he helped me out taking me on a hunt, got me 2-3 tp, and that was about it, so 1 week pasted and nothing, didnt get to do anything whit my mentor, very few talks even, and i some1 els in the mean time was helping me... Was on each day, helped me out whitout asking me anything, so i enden up after 1 more week, to decide even if i was at 8%, to change my mentor, i changed him, and i was happy to know at the end of mentoring a person who in my opinion deserves it more, was gone get the mentor bonus.
This case can happen whit taking starting ppl to heal u also... will not be the case for me since i am very happy whit the mentor i got now.
All this beeing sed, i think we all want our society to evolve, mind ark will not keep game open for 3 players that hunt solo each :D
As 1 small tip, u can try offer as pay for the healer(besides the decay), othere stuff like a vehicle if he dose not have 1, some faps that u have in storage for ages, a tp chip, and the els is needed to use it. It dose not have to be a reward for 2h healing a 10 ped vehicle..... but u can say after u healed 20h u get a vehicle from me and 10 ped worth of fuel... if u have vehicle u wane get rid of and havent used in ages.....
Have fun all, its most important thing :D

I agree, it doesn't make any sense to wear armor if you die in one hit anyway. But the basic principle is that you, as a healer, should do everything you can to keep the hunter alive for as long as possible without having to spend a lot of time fapping yourself to stay alive.

i just find it sad that only so few ppl use fapers for decay, a herb box or a si heart has the lowest costs for healing, so it cant be more then if u would heal urself....
and so healers cant get there skills up to use higher lvl faps...

    Hi,

I might tell you about my experiences with healers, maybe it helps. I don't do events, and I'm not hunting all the time, and I actually rarely use a healer, so take it with a grain of salt :)

What bothers me most is when the healer isn't geared well, and doesn't pay due attention.
It's no fun if I carefully tag my prey from max. distance to avoid getting swarmed, after checking the radar, and then my healer runs too far away, and aggros the new spawned mob behind me.
It's no fun too if the healer comes in bermudas, a shirt and some fancy wings, and goes to the revive at the first hit.
I have no problems usually to tank more than one of what I hunt, but the healer should then try to help me doing this - not running away headlessly with a deadly foe at its tail ... This way I cannot even use my combat FAPs on him.

Another problem is that healers quite often "overheal" or "underheal".
I have some certain HP, and I don't need to have a full bar all the time. But there's times when a herb box does well, and there's times when I might need a bigger chunk of life force. I'd expect the healer to decide wisely, after all it's me that pays the bill after the hunt.
So bringing a basic (cheap) FAP and as well as a fast combat FAP would be desired, and using them not to maximize your skill gains, but instead to minimize the costs of the service.

Besides this, I usually do it myself. Skills gained with healing are most valuable, so when using a healer, I not only pay for their expenses, I donate a nice amount of skill to them, additionally.
For this I'd expect a well geared, thoughtful and economical pro contractor.

Now if you, esteemed reader, have ever healed me, it's not you I'm talking about, it's the other, less professional healers! You did very well and I'm sure, you already know everything I just talked of ;-)))

    Have a good time!
