All of my untextured\ uncoloured Arkadian furnituire is black. All Arkadian caps appear as an X in inventory. Can not be seen in texture\colour tool interface. Can not be seen in item info window.
Got some feedback from our 3d guys. The way a texture is applied is determined by the UV maping on clothing and its due to the change in the clothing that textures do not show symmetrical anymore, it is not related to the texture itself. Most if not all our clothing should be setup to have symmetrical textures already. Any non Arkadian clothing that does not have a symetrical texture pattern can not be changed by us and will need to be reported to the appropriate planet partner. As for the textures appearing darker we still have some testing to do on it before we will know what exactly is causing the problem. Regards, Chris
I dunno if that is already mentioned, i don't have screenies but the ACA/AS Jungle Shirt also looks quite weird now. The Pockets look like boobs and the dimension of the epaulettes ( is that the right term ? ) seems wrong compared to before, so it looks misproportional now.
Thank you for the information Chris! I checked and all of the Arkadian clothes I have made still have a symmetric pattern indeed. It's just on all of the clothes from other planets where they are non-symmetrical. Great job A-team on the arkadian clothes setup for textures, it's unique in the universe atm =)
I found a few other bugs that I don't believe others have mentionned yet. When I drop singlets to sell them in my shop they look kind of weird as if they have extra holes in them Also, the IFN combat uniform singlets display as if they have 2 differently colored parts. View attachment 6610 Caps & Boots are looking fine when displayed (no pants atm so can't check them). The shirts displays are also a bit off atm, it shows 2 rows of buttons on the sides and none in the middle: View attachment 6611
Tyvm for the info , Chris! Three helpful replies from you so far, and not so much as a single acknowlegement from MA/ Caly devs! They didn't even list clothing bugs under "known issues" last update! FFS Any chance of the Ark team taking over EU from MA? Re. the black Aakas bug: I have a bit more info that might be of help. I decided to use up my Aakas stocks yesterday (needed the PED) and found that only turned black when the saturation slider was very close to 100%. Consequently, there are now some more 90% -ish Aakas-textured items in-game Re. Trailblazer Boots (and long boots): they now have a horizontal black line across the middle. but I think that's a platform bug, as same applies to loads of stuff Ty again! jay
@ CHRIS: Note on Veda texture problem: The Veda always did have a bit of a dark splodge in it, and i've often had to be careful which garments I applied Veda to, because the dark splodge could be very unsightly; so where it wound up being placed on the garment was critical. (Pity the texturer has no control over that ) The problem appears to be two-fold: 1) The texture is being mis-placed on the Caly garments 2) The dark splodge is bigger and darker than formerly Is ~2 your problem to solve ? or MindArk's problem? Come to think , some of the texture patterning that I've seen since vu 14. 0 seems to be on a larger scale than previously. This could well be causing some of the problems, particularly the Veda poblem. Do you control the scale of the Veda pattern and others or does MA? Also would it be possible for you to modify that dark splodge in the Veda, anyways ? I very much doubt that anyone will miss it. Veda will be even more useful (supposing other probs get fixed) without it. Cheers, jay
I've noticed the dark spodges as well, they are definately darker then they used to be before. I finished the rest of the before/after pics on calypso basic shirts, and several ore textures have the same darker spots now. Especially on Kaz it's very noticable atm. Part 2: Lidacon, Banite, Veda, Wenrex, Miluca, Tiarak View attachment 6626 Part 3: Aarkan, Arkace, Hekia, Kaz, Oro, Ospra & Zadul View attachment 6627 The scale of the textures seems item based to me and not texture based though, I noticed the larger scale on some items as well (especially on the arkadian singlets for females, at the breast part the textures scale with the breast size) Thank you Snape =)
Cheers...Nothing like a little positive reinforcement when people go the extra mile to submit not only an initial report but also plenty of evidence to back it up and highlight the extent of the problem, thus making the job of the dev team a bit easier in hunting the problems down.
Was pleased to see my Aakas and Khorum textures in storage return to normal colour. However...those textured items which turned black are still black! Also the textures in storage all look very shiny, even wood and hide textures! They look normal once applied, as far as i can tell, but very hard to tell them apart now. Great to be getting so much feedback! Keep up the good work! jay
Just found out thet Kaz has the same bug as Aakas etc- in a patchy fashion: View attachment 6690 Note that the bug did NOT show up at less than 100% saturation (1st image) even though it was only slightlly less. In the other 3 cases I had the saturation bar at 100%. jay
I thought the body distortions provoked by wearing aakas had been resolved, but no . took these pics today: View attachment 6877
Woot! Aakas texture is finally fixed! Thanks, guys On the other hand, there are a load of outstanding bugs, and I'm perplexed. Due to being in the Entropian rag trade , I possess an awful lot of bugged clothing. Now, I was putting much time into catalogueing these bugs, and submitting reports (including screenies) to Planet calypso Support (since its mostly Caly stuff that's bugged, or else a platform issue) Then, for several weeks ,I became too ill to continue my efforts, though I hadn't even nearly finished. Support generally thanked me for the reports and assured me that these had been forwarded. Call me naive, but i did find that credible (i know a lot of players will tell you exactly where they've been forwarded to, and advise you not to bother) A few days ago, I resumed my efforts, I felt it important to do so, because there's no telling (except on this thread) whch bugs are being fixed, and which might have been overlooked due to lack of reports. Also, some items have been fixed only partially and it seems wise to point that out, in case the devs think that's done now. Also, some of my items look OK in "item view" but still look all wrong when you wear them. However, the reply i got to my first batch has stopped me in my tracks. 1) it came from Arkadia Support, even though I'd submitted the SC to Caly Support . Huh? 2) it was a standard sort of "Devs are dealing with this, Filing your report under WPB" sort of reply 3) when i asked for some assurance that my comments and screenies had been forewarded, i got no such thing, just the same message effectively, again.... except with typos and bad grammar thrown in, this time (maybe to prove the sender was human, and getting very tired of answering support cases?? ). and SC was summarily closed. here it is: I found this bit particularly galling: Well hey, my long at detailed case made it very clear indeed that i know that "we have several of this" so he's basically informed me that he never even looked at it, right? just read the title. What a waste of my time. So now I want to know: is there any point in sending further reports, or do they just get politely ignored, from now on? And I'm asking Arkadia team, not Caly team for two reasons: 1) it was YOUR Supprt guy who answered my SC 2) we actually DO get feedback from you here! (woot!) jay
TBH Jay, I'd advise you to make a thread here on the forum in the bug section and just continually update that with screenies like you have done previously. You get good feedback here as you know and that way the A-Team have a nice easy to find thread to go to that everyone can help update too. Thats just my 2pec though
Thanks, that's exct;y what I would I would do, exept for two little problems: 1) (OK this is biggie) The vast majority of outstanding bugs are clearly Platform issues or Planet Calypso issues (which sort I 've been sending to Calypso support along) 2) A significant minority of my bugged stuff is special stuff I was keeping under wraps, whilst I tried to decide which to wear for Ms Caly. (haha). OK, sod Ms Caly, that's never gonna happen, at this rate, But still, I don't want it's first public exposure to be: Look how badly they screwed this thing up. lol jay
