With the L TT weapons being replaced by UL versions, I'm wondering if there is interest in buying the CAP-101, Law-101 if I start making them and add them to shop inventories? How do the new weapons compare for eco? Keep in mind there will inevitably be some MU on crafted weapons which will drop effective eco.

Any opinions or feedback is welcome.

Personally I will use the new tt weapons or buy a bigger one. Not gonna use old (L) tt weapons unless I get them in loot.

I would probably buy a Law-101 here and there, if you sold them. I'm quite fond of that gun, and am a bit sad I can't get it from the TT now.

I would be willing to pay at most TT+1 (133%). I used to pay that price on Caly auction for them, when i forgot to bring some with me from Ark.

I think there will be a place for them especially with what we hope will be lots of newer players coming in from the MOL deal. I think the only way to tell is to make s batch and see what happens....and ofc advertise that you have them. I'll certainly help there as much as i can

I would say there's no point in using CAP-101s anymore. The gun is inferior to the CAP-99R amped and unamped in both eco and dps. Unamped, the CAP-101 is better eco IF you pay no MU, but since we now have to pay MU, the CAP-99R is better.

CAP-99R + A101 has extraordinary eco and dps for a beginner UL gun.

    RIP CAP-101 (L)

My suspicion is the move from TT to MU will kill these guns but it wont hurt to keep a couple in stock.

Well there was a decent market for the Law-101 on Caly, even when it was available from TT. I sold plenty of them myself on Caly auction, and would have sold more had there been less people with the same idea. I haven't checked the auction for them since they were removed from TT, but I imagine there wouldn't be many who are selling them now. The Law-101 is a good gun, and the market should still be there, someone just needs to make the guns available. :)

    Hi,

I'm a noob (been on Arkadia for 3 days), so forgive my noobish questions.

I've checked all the shops on the planet, and all the Law 101 guns I can find are (L). Is it possible to get an unlimited version of this rifle? If so, I'd buy it. I'd like to tier it up and use enhancers, and that really doesn't sound economical with (L) weapons, as they'll inevitably break.

    Thanks!

Welcome Mal. It's probably not a good idea to use enhancers on a low level gun since the extra damage you could do would not be worth the cost of replacing enhancers. It's better to skill up a bit and get the next level gun a law-101 arctic, which will let you do 2x as much damage per second (3x if you use an A103 amp). That's a much more economical solution. People often put enhancers on L weapons, though they usually do it with a weapon that already has high damage.

That said, however, there is a UL version of the Law-101: the Law-101 Smugger, which is quite expensive (probably ~2k ped), and I'm not even sure there is more than one in existence.

Take a look in the trade terminal, there you will find a good starter UL laser rifle. I think the name is the Law-99R. It's what everybody's using to start skilling on laser rifle.

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for the information and reply. So basically, I'm wishing for an uber rare gun that would be almost impossible for a newbie to get. Got it. Typical, really! :p

I've been using a Harman Law-99R with a hotfoot 5 amp, and it's been doing the job. Am almost at lvl 4 sniper, and was thinking about moving up. I went ahead and purchased an L version of hte Law-101 - I'll go ahead and experiment with the two guns and keep on grinding then, as it sounds like I'm already using the equipment I'm supposed to be using.

    Thanks!

Just as an update - I've gone through 2 Law 101s already, running through the INF missions. They're a great gun and very eco. Thanks for selling them!
