Hii everyone im new. been playing for abouy a week. Started on cal. My mentor gave me ride over. Ive got some questions.

First is where does everyone sweat here?

Next one is main reason i signed up. Every now and then I get alot of no loots close togeather like 50% rate. Logged out after seeing 7 of them in my chat window. And thats what was showing, not total let alone fragments. Does the system kinda look for these to see if someone is getting way to many of them and compensate for them later on? Its so bad at times like this I feel like submiting support ticket but I know they have better things to do. I also realize im more likely to focus on things that dont seem right vs when its going perfect. Do I keep at it and hope for the best? Im grinding on Carubok. done about 2.5K of them. Just frustrated when i work hard for those peds and get killed in a 5 minute window I dont know if its a bug going on or what. Just looking for some ppls outlook on this issue.

Team sweating is mostly done at the celeste outpost (if there are enough people online), and i don't really know if this is still the place to go after they changed the nusul stats. If you want to sweat solo i would suggest the carabok near the quarry.

Loot is a fun topic to talk about, because everyone has idea, theories and personal facts, but nobody seems to know for sure. Something people do agree upon is that in the long run, if you're not doing anything too stupid you'll get back 90-95% in the long run. (long run as in hours played, not as in tt turnover). So if you make a bit of markup you can break even/profit in the long run. Problem is that most players don't have the bankroll or patience to keep items in storage and sell for markup, that is why they loose peds. Personally i don't tt any stackable (with the exception of beauty stuff).

That being said, when i was a noob i kept a close eye on the tt returns during a hunt, and when they were bad i would change area, that seemed to work nicely, nowadays i don't bother anymore, i just wait for a nice loot later in the hunt or a few days later.

What Harmony says is about right.

But it also pays to watch your strings of no loots. Sometimes, if you have bad lag or cross a server border I believe you can get into the state where you become a bit out of sync with the game and re-logging in these cases is a good idea.

i know about estimated TT returns. Maybe 2 ped above TT now vs 7 before this mess. Maybe 15 ped mu on hides. Its only 5 president I know.. That's not the issue. Loot goes up and down. But this is on a mob that costs 3 to 4 pec to kill. If I don't understand if its OK to see so many no loots imagine on a mob that costs 1 ped to kill. That 5 ped would become huge.

Wondering if they have system to monitor amt of no loots
Is it normal to see 7 of them in a chat window from time to time. Was probly 3 pages of chat all togeather like that.
Is it worth submitting a ticket to have it looked over

Logged back in got 3 fragments in a row . I've disabled all chat msgs and covered up loot window cause I can't watch this anymore

Don't see an 'dot button. Forgot to add I've spent 110 on rookie weapon cells and) hat where I'm at. Worked hard for those less just to have them dwindle away in 5 to 10 minutes vs slowly loosing them over an hour like normally can happen.

Frequency of No Loot messages can vary widely for me depending on where I am and which day it is, (tbh it feels a lot at times like "which way the wind is blowing").

Sometimes it seems to me it's a function of how many people have been hunting in the same place already that day, but I think the more likely answer is that No Loot messages (specifically for smaller creatures like Carabok) will depend on a number of factors. So I will start by saying - yes it is feasible that a given player might get a number of no-loots in a row.

That said, an effort has been made recently to make loot more stable in EU or "rebalanced" as MindArk puts it. Most of the Arkadian mobs have not been adjusted though, so if we assume that feature is not playing a part in this particular equation, then it comes down to understanding a little bit about how loot works in Entropia.

You and lots of other people go out hunting various creatures.
Potential loot is generated from the amount of money you put into the system - so if a lot of people are all hunting at once then a lot of potential loot is going into the system, which is a good thing. In a perfect world, everyone would get back loot items equal in TT value to roughly 90% of what they spent, every time.

But that doesn't leave any room for surprises, big highs or big lows etc. So the game is more dynamic than that. It still tracks your rough overall loot return, but it allows for you to go through periods of great returns and poor returns... And it allows also for other hidden thresholds at which the type of items you get in your loot can change as well which can change the markup value you earn amongst other things.

It is important to bear in mind that on Planet Arkadia, hunting Carabok Puny, you are hunting at roughly speaking the very, very bottom end of the scale. This is actually not a problem - and I advise my own Disciples to start exactly there as well, because the hides of Carabok sell very well compared to most other creatures at the bottom end of the hunting scale. But one of the products of hunting a single creature of a single maturity (and which you should hopefully be coming to understand with personal experience) is that your loot table is fixed, the creature hitpoints, maturity etc never change...

The only variables that change are:
    - which server you are on
    - which area you hunt your creatures in
    - how many of them you hunt and how many others are hunting the same area
    - what time of day you hunt

That's still a lot of variables to consider, but in short what I am trying to highlight here is that some of them - like how many other people are adding to the loot pool and so on, are out of your control. You can try moving around, hunting other places and so on... But in general it's possible to get swings in loot from time to time and place to place.

The only advice we can really give is to stick with it, get a feel for how things are in any given area for a mob, and learn to know when things in that area are "badly below average", "somewhere around average", or "a bit better than average" I guess - and to be mature with how you conduct yourself in the various ups and downs of your hunting lifestyle.

    Good luck out there!

I have a question that relates to this topic: Does anyone on Arkadia global? I've checked my chat options, but I never see globals - just a VERY VERY few HOFs.

Yes. It is (theoretically) just as easy to global on Arkadia as on any other planet. Most hunters are currently on Calypso for the hunting event there, so you won't see many Arkadian hunting globals until that is over. The recent herman weapon stat changes may also be a small factor, causing people to hunt smaller mobs than normal, but mostly it's Merry Mayhem.

I global regularly depending on the specifc mobs hunted\ items crafted. But right now I am mainly doing the mayhem event on Caly. If you log on to EntropiaLife you can see a planetary breakdown of globals.
