opportunity is travelling at a snails pace it seems
i was interested too, and hopeful when this was announced, my hope was that it would create some interest until tuesdays update that fixed the broker, the broker that i assume is just like the brokers already on calypso, only its wednesday now, no update to fix the broker, and no forum auction either, so if the forum auction hasnt started yet how long are we to wait for this fix to the broker? i guess i should just sell the keys i still have at the 50% loss they are currently trading at and go back to opportunities that i am missing out on by hanging around on arkadia. without a ETA on any of this being fixed it isnt easy to contain myself.

My bet Arkadia is running into problems getting MA to add the items for the auction. Ark doesn't have the power to just magic in items.

 

Well seems to me its SOP for MA and all this stuff... nearly 20 instances done for a grand total of 64 Arkoins.. what ya think Ill get to bid on with all them riches...Others gettin 9000 coins in one instance..Keep this crap up and all that advertising that has been done gets flushed down the toilet if the game is going to be just as imbalanced as before which is the main reason EU has such a shit reputation for being a scam.

I been really quiet but I gotta say somethin after that BP dropped with 11 attempts. Not sure if A TEAM is plannin this out like the way its working or if MA is simply assfucking the player base here as usual but the serious imbalance for EVERYTHING that happens here is BULLSHIT. Big ole push saying how valuable the rare finds for key componants will be then an 11 attempt BP drops ensureing nearly ALL fails except 1 crushing any value in the componants looted. Seriously someone needs to get their shit together before a full on revolt gets started this is crazy.

 

The SOOTO rate has slowed down again... I think people who sold their jars and paintings for peanuts may regret it.

A few days ago the arkoins started dropping again, though not in every run, and not as much as at first.

 

Neil my point was not the drop rate of the coins but the inbalance in how they drop. On one end of the scale they are non existant and the other end an overly rediculess amount. We all know these items that can be bought with these coins will take some insane amount to buy even one item. The rediculesly low drop rate screws lower level players the hardest becuase not only are they crewed out of a fair share of coins for thier effort they must suffer a second slap in the face buy having to buy more after paying to not get any or very few in the places they can run. Yes this brings up the age old debate of people spending more money getting bigger rewards but it also perpetuates the standing order EU is a scam making it seem the ONLY way to be treated fair is to simply buy your way to uberdom. If that is the case most normal thinking people will simply say.. Im not that stupid to keep paying for others fun if I have ZERO chance myself.

 

So far over the last few days, almost every other instance seems to drop something interesting. This morning I got liakon, mah'ketta and multiple arkoin loots. And these were from low level instances. I would not call this a ridiculously low drop rate. The armor isn't real common, I give you that, but the arkoins are. How many arkoins will the NPCs want? I guess that's the big question... We won't know until we see the NPCs working. But so far with the armor, arkoin, and golden key part loots, I'm pretty happy with the 75% or 80% TT return the instances are giving.

 

Ok I dont mean to be a dick but there seems to be a reading comprehenssion fail here bud. AGAIN...The issue is NOT NOT NOT what is or is not dropping..its the inbalance were certain people ( you seem to be one of them) getting shit loads of drops while many others are taking it up the ass to pay for your fun. The issue is that peole are paying money to do these for what ever reasons and a very few and repeatedly getting all the the stuff while MANY other are getting jack shit. The way these are set up will only push people further and further from bothering to do these if this keeps up. This is the whole rub over EU as a whole and has been for years.

I am more then positive David and the A team designed these for ALL people to have fun as they have made 10 seperate level to cater to everyones style or means of play. Its MA who comntinues to repeatedly fail at opertunities to repair their rep and maybe grow EU into some semblence of its full potential.

 

Well then if you think the imbalance is due to avatar luck, all I can say is that it's about time MA gave my avatar some!

Seriously, though, I'd like to see numbers instead of vague statements that "the masses aren't getting arkoins". How many instances have those people been doing in the last few days? (...not the past weekend when interesting drops were essentially zero)

 

Maybe it would be possible to make a shared google document to calc data? I would contribute, but i'm actually waiting until the brokers are ingame to even run my instance keys i have. Right now just focusing on mob missions as that cut off is comming close.

 

I have both Jars and arkoins in my shop CN3 if any need?

 

There is a delay in getting the NPC brokers activated owing to some concerns from MA. Eventually those NPCs will be activated but we dont know when. So as an interim measure Cyrus is having this auction event so we can use our coins instead of having them lie useless in our storage. No idea why the event is taking so long to get underway though.

i am kinda dissapointed it's been a week and still no real info yes we hear about an auction but have not got any more details.

As you should have noticed by now, setting a date for anything that involves MA is PR suicide.

 

ha ha that seems to be true. ^^ However the auction by Cyrus shouldn't depend on MA much so time to get that started already? Making a short teaser post for that and then nothing for a week+ seems like PR suicide too. ^^

 

you mean like when you hold a contest and go to give away the price and MA doesn't put it on the PP's official avatars to give them or flat out doesn't give them it ever. Ask Neverdie and Narfi about that one.
