Aren't swords weapons, with grips? :)

    ---

In regard to the robot loot, I don't particularly like it either... however, from what the A-team has said here and in Adviser chat, I do believe that the A-team is pretty powerless to change the robot loot at this point. What they can do is bring out BPs using robot loot to make use of this stuff. There aren't a lot of TT materials used in Ark BPs, and even lyst can get pretty expensive here on Ark, so a new source of TT food for crafters to grind would not be a bad thing.

Another concept we have to realize is that it's treasure HUNTING. Do you think every time an archeologist looks at an ancient site, they find chests and chests worth of gold coins and awesome, valuable artifacts? No. Treasure is rare, by definition. That's why I'm against finding a set amount of arkoins or items in the instances... it should not be FARMING, it's treasure hunting.

That said, of course MA needs to make the item and arkoin drops appropriate... right now they're probably struggling with balancing loot because the instances are new and because there's arkoin hoarding going on. If the gear at the NPCs is going to cost a huge number of arkoins, then the drops need to be increased.

So... assuming the auction event takes some of these arkoins out of circulation and replaces the function of the NPCs until they get running, I think it's a really good idea.

And MA, get those NPCs fixed before the next VU!

Was not a question but a statement. The fact statues are clasiffied as robots by MA/A-Team does not make loot RIGHT in the context of Treasure Hunting.

Well whatever Statues being classified as robots and getting robot parts makes sense to me, sorry you guys can't make sense out of that logic.

Yes would seem robot parts are big heavy in the loot but I do see sockets, paints and few other odds and ends once in awhile. That loot makes sense also because of the other mobs being classified as animals an such.

I am guessing is is just a balancing issue and will get figured out eventually, give me one time, just one, where something was introduced without some sort of issue and it agreed with everyone in EU. They can't make everyone happy about everything all the time as what makes one happy makes another not so happy. Pretty much only thing MA and PP's can do to make everyone happy is for every 1USD you put in game they give you 10USD back and guess what that just will not happen.

them be my final words in this pointless bickering thread. It all makes sense to me and I just patiently wait to see if things get balanced out.

I think you missed the point, people are accepting and knowing that statues being classified as robots, but those insects and middle boss are not robot at all. But where's the animal loot? We don't loot any animal related loot, only robot junks. If the loot is decided by the mobs inside instance then animal loot must be included because animal mobs inside, but it doesn't. Anyone looting any animal hide or animal oil residue at all? I think that's some of other guys talking about. As A-team can put Arkoin into instance loot I doubt they can't put other stackable loot in. They can ignore the animal mob inside instance now, why can't they ignore robot loots for now and putting some stuff that has demand in Arkadia? I think that's part of thing that people are arguing. No offense of whatever just simply discuss the instance loot and express some of my thought. :)

    Have a nice day.

BTW has anyone went to Rocktropia and done the instance there? Is there has the same problem that robot junks all over around as Arkadia?

well in Bill logic...The Arkadians made these bots to protect their last strong holds. To me it is only logical that there are spare parts being stored in chests. Bill logic ALSO dictates that since the animals you are fighting are STILL alive then the Arkadians could NOT have added their body parts to their storage chests. Also since they have made robots to protect their stuff I would further venture that the mobs down there have migrated there over time and are not naitive to in habited spaces we are running thru.

Now back to the normal Stoner logic of EU....( the one that dictates a fish less then half a meter long can carry an undigested plasma rifle in its stomach) History dictates that the norm would be to have animal parts as loot since you are killing animals. Unfortunately for the people subscribing to that logic the A Team is using a little common sense in what they plan not only for the next 5 minutes for all the OCD ADD players but further down the road where they will build on what they have done in each previous VU as the planet, the population, and thestory line evolve and grow.

This all ties in with the people feel they are getting treated fairly vs the ones who feel they are not continueing the age old butting of heads in regards of loot. Its about them protecting their intersts and where to make changes that only the ones benerfitting will continue to do so while the ones continually funding them stay on the smelly end of the stick and are doomed to walk funny their entire EU life.

Hopefully there can be some form of Logic used other then the age old stoner logic that rules EU to resolve this all in a very short time frame.
