I can confirm this same thing happened to me on very first Key1 instance after killing boss and chests unlocked, though I was able to open one chest, upon trying to open second one put me at entrance room, but no way to prove this without video I guess. -Jeffe
Hi Chris, Have you guys gotten anywhere with this? I put in a support ticket three days ago and so far heard nothing. I would like to try the other instances but obviously would like to get the loot I was denied from the first one before doing so EDIT: I didn't quote the first message, which said basically I ran thru the first instance and at the end the blue leaderboard came up and whisked me out of the instance before allowing me to get the Loot ... quite a loss of PED there. It seems this only happened to me (DAMMIT!) I want to do the other ones but I'm afraid of getting no loot again. Now I see that Jeffe had the same problem so it's not just me ... I do hope Arkadia will give me some amount of loot as I lost out on a good chunk of PED between the Key and all the ammo.

I got one. I forgot to get the x,y,z coordinates, but it's like the first tunnel after you cross the chasm the first time. Also, not sure if it's been mentioned, but an orange dot is visible on every level. Assuming it's the trade terminal at the start. Probably related to being able to see any player within the radar's 200m radius regardless of how far above or below you they are.

After doing another instance, I realized the timer may have just ran out, that two minutes sure goes fast but I got both no problem second time around and was still down to 30 seconds. SO I am guessing I timed out for looting for the second chest on the first try. This brings up a bit of additional frustration as I was at second chest and opening it the first go, I will not blame it on lag either way but could maybe use another few seconds to open the chests after 45 minutes of killing laggy mobs -JIAN!
And another person who can't remove formatting from their text so that those of us using a white background can read it without having to highlight it... On-topic, that could well be the case.. though I almost always have 45-50 seconds or more to spare. But I don't run it solo, either.. we have different people going to different boxes, opening them almost simultaneously.
Can't there be something like a revival implemented in an instance ? What I mean ... today I lost connection during a lvl 3 instance - upon re-log was outside the gate, key gone, no way to go in again. This happened after I shooted like 10 ped ammo already ... So, crafted another key, went in, did the instance, got terrible loot ... as usual. Last time I was reimbursed by the system with key's tt value upon re-entering through the gate. Now, 4-5h later, i got the re-imbursement message with 5.x ped more than tt value (altough I quite sure I shot more than that in ammo) Altough I appreciate this re-imbursement, couldn't a revival be implemented or some mechanishm so upon re-log u find urself still within the instance ? assuming no timer expired ofc ...
i'd guess the problem with leaving you in the instance is that as there is a limited number of them, it would tie one up to have you still in there while disconnected? It would only take a few people to "logoff in a huff" and the whole system would be locked up by people who arent playing.
Excellent! I'm trying to get my Key 1 back since I didn't get to loot the chests ... how did you contact support? Through the regular channels? I did a support ticket Tuesday and have heard nothing. Is there a better place to request a new Key?
I agree, it's a pain but there's a reason for it. The issue will only get worse with the higher level keys, which cost more and take longer to finish.
Yeah that's true ... I think I'll just wait till they get the instances completely sorted before losing any more ammo or loot. I would like to know how the others got there keys back from the A-team so quickly though. It seems my ticket was lost in the flood
This is what it looked like to me. I have increased the timer on all instances to 10min for tomorrows patch (yes this is way more then is needed). Also after opening the last chest the instance will finish within 5 seconds so players do not end up having to wait for the timer to run out. on a separate note MA requested that A timer be added in as it seems that the lack of a timer somehow overwhelm the instance server causing the initial errors with the instances. On the lower level ones the timer is 2 hours and steps up from there every 3 levels by 30 min. This should give more time than is needed to comfortably run through the instances with a team and solo. However on the higher level instances I advise that players try and run through the instance first with a team before attempting to do it solo to make sure they can run it solo.
Hi Lucky_A like already mentioned below you this is unfortunately how the system works. The big problem is that the system only keeps an inactive instance live for a certain amount of time before resetting it to stop the system from overloading. The best way to avoid this is to run the instance with a team of players so that if one disconnects the instance does not go inactive and reset. I will give a few suggestions to MA about this.
TY I know instances are primarily designed for teams but oftenly I run them solo and would be nice if there's some way to avoid such issues in solo mode. On another note, I like the re-imbursement part - seems fair in case u had bad luck and ISP had a glitch while u were in an instance u get at least the key value back, altough to be honest getting the key it self instead of peds would have been even better
i wonder if the key hold keeps it equiped through out the whole instance may be an interesting experiment to see what happens could cause another bug.
There is a danger here, and I think an Error on MA's part. If they are saying that they think that the servers are overwhelmed because people are using keys and simply staying inside for many hours, I believe that they are wrong. I did body counts down by the doors, and there were often hundreds of people down there when these bugs were going on with the taking of keys. By making a timer for the entire instance, I think you are making a mistake. My intent is to do the higher level keys solo, and I have no interest at all in doing them with a team. However, I've heard stories of doing the key ten instances in four hours. If this is the case, you will have even more problems when people like me will try to do it solo and time out on it, wasting all the ammo and decay. Instead, the true problem is that MA's code will check for availability of an instance only after taking the key. Attempting to place a key and being told that "there are no instances available at this time" is much better of a solution than to be halfway through the instance and timeout. If you are forced to make a timer, however, I would suggest that you increase it more drastically for the higher level instances, such that anyone with proper play can finish it with time to spare in case of problems. But if that is MA's only solution, the problem will be even worse after the VU, because there will once again be hundreds of people trying to do them at once. -fish
i think what caused this mess is MA´s lack of preparation. last vu not only A-Team released instances but RT created some new ones , too. now i´m assuming there´s only one server for all instances EU wide and thus the overload. would be better against these kinda issues to have a separated server for every planet with instances/beacons/firewalls etc. my 2pec
Hi guys, Unfortunately MA requested that all instances have timers after the initial errors so no way of getting rid of the timers. We will adjust the instance timers accordingly if the current timers gives to much of a rush to complete the instances solo for players who is adequately skilled and geared for a level.
