One MILLION (1,000,000) Arkoin reward offered!

Be the first to manufacture a rare Arkadian Golden Key, and be faced with the decision to use the key to open the Aakas Golden Door, or surrender it to the Archaeological Society who are offering a ONE MILLION Arkoin reward!​

Two new Blueprints have been introduced:

• Arkadian Golden Key Blueprint
• Arkadian Golden Key Blueprint (L).

They can only be looted while crafting Tools on Arkadia. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on one, collect the right ingredients and you might be the first to craft the rare Arkadian Golden Key!

Beware – some of the ingredients might not be so easy to find. But that’s what a Gold Rush is all about!

If you are fortunate enough to find yourself in possession of an Arkadian Golden Key, you may find yourself in demand! The Archaeological Society will most certainly be interested. They are keen to understand more about this rare item, and what lies beyond the Arkadian Golden Door.

So keen are they, that they are offering a reward of ONE MILLION (1,000,000) Arkoins for the first colonist to bring one to them. As that colonist, if you make sure it is repaired to full TT value, you will be faced with a decision. You can either:

a) Arrange to meet the avatar "Cyrus Arkadia Community Manager", who will offer you the Arkoins. Remember that an Arkoin has a TT value of 0.01 PED, so one million Arkions have a TT value of 10,000 PED! And that’s not including markup!
b) Plan an expedition to open the Arkadian Golden Door, and see what unique treasures lie beyond!


Rules

1. The winning Arkadian Golden Key is only valid to be traded to the avatar "Cyrus Arkdia Community Manager" for 1,000,000 Arkoins if it is fully repaired (its max TT value is 1,000 PED).
2. The Archaeological Society’s offer only extends to one (1) Arkadian Golden Key. After this has been traded, Arkadia Studios reserves the right to discontinue the offer immediately.
3. The competition will begin immediately following Planet Arkadia Update Number 2012.5, and will end the first time an Arkadian Golden Key is traded to the avatar "Cyrus Arkadia Community Manager" for 1,000,000 Arkoins.
4. The avatar name of the first colonist to post a screenshot in this thread, showing they possess an Arkadian Golden Key (eg in their Inventory or Storage) will be sent to MindArk, to verify that the avatar did indeed own an Arkadian Golden Key at the time of the screenshot.
5. In the event that a screenshot is found to have been forged, that screenshot will be deemed invalid, and the colonist will be deemed ineligible. In this case the second valid screenshot in the thread will be verified, and so on.
6. Should the winner not claim their prize within seven (7) days, Arkadia Studios reserves the right to reclaim the prize.

 

If I were to be the winner, I would just take the 10000 ped reward . I have no ball to click that door to see 10k ped disappeared from my pocket.:surrender:

Is it possible to loot it now? I ask since there has been no update yet, so it would seem impossible to loot one yet if it's not in loot

And what can it be used for?

 

I think Arkoin is part of instance loot that David mentioned in last interview with Zume. It is like mission token you can use it to exchange items with NPC.

Arkoin can be looted/collected during instances...As for their use, he says to wait and find out.

Good pickup George! That was an older version of the rule that we missed in the final run. Rule 3 has now been fixed.

 

I know I have no chance to win this but still good to have a clearification on this. This two line seems abit conflict. So when someone craft the first Golden key, he needs to hand it to NPC located in Celeste Harbour for Arkoins or contact with Cyrus directly to trade it for Arkoins?

Seems to me these Arkcoins will be stackable if so can they be looted in pvp?

I'm asking because by default I think stackables are set to lootable by MindArk, e,g, the case of welding wire when first introduced was lootable...

 

Where would you take them?

 

I wouldn't take them anywhere except on Ark. However, if they are lootable I can almost guarantee someone will get some looted in space for example.

 

So to be abel to claim this price you need to be the first to make a screenshot in this thread?

It is not enough to get the discovery?
It is not enough to have the best time stamp on the picture posted here?

So when you have the first screenshot in this thread your are home free and can claim the price from Cyrus whenever you meet him in game within 7 days?
