Herman Weapons Crate... Can I put weapons inside it? Like on display / for sale

Hey guys,

So today i decided to buy a weapons crate (the herman one), but when i put it in my shop and attempted to put guns in it for sale, they dont seem to go! I can put one on top, and one on bottom, but I cannot stack them like a weapons rack.

Am i doing something wrong? Is there a trick to this?

i think is not possible, asked once to cyrus as i had the same issue and he told me was not possible as system doesnt allow it, think is cant align vertical the guns if i remember right

 

Thanks chillix, yah it only seems to allow horizontal, which means .. like 1-2 guns at max on each "floor" of the furniture. Oh well , it seems like a really cool piece of furniture. Maybe in the future it will be "fixed' and more like a display panel.

 

This is the Herman Weapons Cabinet that looks llike it can hold 2 guns I have been able to get them in there. They don't hang in there with the sides facing out it is the top of the gun that faces out.

It is kind of tricky but if you place an item onto the box and move your cursor slowly around the middle where it looks like a weapon gets inserted it will allow you to place an item in there. You will need to rotate it as well as it is like placing an item on a table and can be placed down at weird angles that don't look right.

BTW the only guns I found that hangs in there and faces out is the Cheap A$$ Assault Rifle from Rocktropia and the tt Shotgun form the Hunt the Thing TT but the shotgun is longer then the cabinet. I believe this is because when you place those guns down they lay down as if you are setting them upright while all other items seem to lay on their sides when laid down.

Kmax, your advice was spot on, though this is not what i would have liked from a "weapon's cabinet" I at least can show off 3 guns. I would have thought it worked like a display panel where I could stack guns like in a weapons rack.

This, however is def better then nothing. I do like the crate, and am all about aesthetics. I was able to place the Juelz Mic-Killa SG-1(L)s that I sell in the crate. Perfect for those guns that i sell.

I agree would look cooler if the crafte was rotated 90 degrees so the guns went up and down. But think the mechanics of the game only allow you to place items on horizontal surfaces so they had to do the crates this way.

 

Actually, it's Rocktropia guns that are that way. All other guns go up on a display panel the right way. ROCKtropia guns sit on the floor upright, causing them to be horizontal on vertical surfaces. They're the only ones that do this.

 

I too am struggeling with this item. It can not be placed on a surface, only the floor, can barely take items, and the items are not "stored" in them, the items still use item points. Overall, I love the idea, but the function does not match the purpose.
