Ok been hunting oro around formidable firebase academy the past few days. Saw a guy standing close to the turret near the back of the academy with a large number of spawned oro around (suggests to me he has been standing there a long time). Every now and then a oro will spawn close enough and rush him... deliver one hit before the turret kills it, at first I thought nothing of it... a guy just afk. After two days however of hunting there the guy has not moved making me think that maybe he is farming evade and other general skills there... stupid slow way to do it as it may be. Yeah, been talked about and reported a lot, still no answers really but its been suggested he could be an avatar meant to run the Entropia Tracker client only, but no confirmation of that. Not sure if ET has MA approval to make multiple avatars for that purpose, I always assumed they did though, since the app is now supported by MA.
I believe it was Arkadia Studios that created the extra avatars to run tracker, rather than Starfinder...
Skilling that way never is profitable. It costs more in electricity to run the computer than the skill you get.
He's been there long enough that the only explanation that makes sense to me is that he's a chat log tracker. Though it's a strange place to put him. I'd at least find someplace with nice scenery and no mobs.
Would be interesting to see all of the skill gains the avatar has gotten! after a year of passive skilling.
Go plug into the chipping optimizer and see what it would take to get 17 Agility on just evade alone...
Some ppl (student accomodation for example) pay a flat price for electricity tho so you can run as many PCs as you like. xDD
I have encountered an official Arkadia avatar that runs the tracker inside a building once, seem to have lost the screenshot though.
