As im "new" in this universe I realised there are alot of things im unsure of atm so figured I would grab some help here : 1. Tier: Is this always good to do? Currently my eve is not tierd should I fix that? 2. Amps: What amps are decent now? reliase that my a103 a104 has gone up heavily in price from TT are thoose good atm? 3. Fap: Currently using a fap 80 anyone know of its current state? 4, Gun: Using EvE40 atm is this still valid I found the rep to be ok but still its a kinda expensive gun to be shooting . 5. What soc are using Ark as home base? Gonna need a new soc I would assume to get this going . 6. What veichle should I start out with? 7. What TPs are the most important ones on ark? 8. Got alot of L bps for orca and predator but seems to be no market for thoose have they been removed? Got many more but guess il start here
Q1-4: If you're new, all the tools you listed above(minus the amps) are uneconomical with your skills, and will only stack the deck against you for any long term loot return efficiency. If you don't care about your missed shots and decay bill, then it doesn't matter what gun/amp you use. Q5: The society section of this forum should give you some good leads. Q6: Vehicle? Depends on what you want to do. It's just a means of transportation and fun for most. Q7: The most important TP's are the one's closest to the areas you wish to frequent. Q8: If not auction market, try posting that you have limited armor bp's for sell at the Quarry. Good luck.
Amps: experiment with the entropedia.info "weapon compare" feature. You can see the effect that different amps have on different weapons. You want to get greater than 2.9 dmg/pec whenever possible. Using a A103/A104 this is possible for several SIB L weapons including Breer P4a L, P5a L, cap-101 arctic (be sure to enter the right MU for the gun). It turns out that upgrading to an A105/6 will not influence the dmg per pec much, but it will allow you to get good efficiency on slightly larger weapons. Ark weapons are very good, but unfortunately due to their high MU, it tends to reduce their overall efficiency. I love using cap-303 Jungles, but at 130% it's not a very eco choice. Tiers: a lot of people use them... I guess it just depends... if using an enhancer allows you to save as more decay than the enhancers cost, including MU, then it's worth it. But don't just use the enhancer slots because they're available. Vehicles: it depends on what your use it... the most versatile vehicle is the sleipnir. It's dirt cheap, fuel efficient, you can attach a thruster to it to fly to space (it's a bit slow in space, but it works), it's great for mining and scouting, and you can hop into it when under attack by a mob that you'd rather not shoot, and of course, it flies so you can go over mobs. The most fun vehicle right now is the spear mk1 from cyrene. This rocket powered hover snowmobile is great for climbing hills, jumping, mining, going underwater. It does have drawbacks. It's not real fast, can't be taken around mobs, and is pretty unstable (flips over a lot). For carting around friends, the arctic chopper is great. It's faster than the gungnir, and can be obtained from the mission at the THING on RT for 5-10 peds ammo over the course of the missions.
Gonna have to give my gear setup a heavy lookup then damn . Hmm I cant find were to start the mission for the hoover were is that? Ty al for al the answers
I (or just about anyone at the quarry) can give you a ride to the new player mission start area. Just let me know where you're at and I can take you. Also, if you're very new, a LAW/CAP-101 (or LAW/CAP-101 Special) would be perfect and relatively low price.
Ok so I got myself a lill more introduced to the world finaly still havent started the quests as hunting took priority . What are fun mobs to hunt and were? Found a good holu spawn now that im quite liking went 303 jungle for em returns aint great but im guessing gear still needs some work and I so gotta stop crafting .
I understand you got your old avatar back so you are playing with some degree of skills. Would be a good idea to get the IFN missions from the IFN console at any firebase and do as many stage 2 missions as you can before the august update when mission reward changes are due to occur.
Yeah ive started out the oro and holu part so far and starting to discover why I quit this game 4 years ago . 200 ped ammo 130 ped back on holu today makes me I need help and BAD . Hunting lv 27 mobs with 303 jungle amp 104 and not counting decay im down 70ped for 200 ammo this is abit to bad to be valid what am I doing wrong
If you are experienced you probably already know that it's difficult to draw any conclusions from a small hunting run. That's a reasonably eco set up assuming you are maxed on that weapon and avoiding overkill. I confess I don't which mob u mean by holu but I do think overkill would be a risk with that weapon on oro.
Well that is the good thing of coming to arkadia, here there are enough people to help you out with advice. Like KikkiJikki said, a 200 ped run is a bit small to tell anything off. The problem is that whatever you hunt, you should have enough peds to kill let's say 1k mobs without have to sell stuff. Unfortunately most people want to gamble on big health mobs and then act surprised that they don't win the jackpot. Luckily this doesn't seem to be the case with you, but out of curiousity which maturity of the mobs you mentioned are you hunting?
going for youngs atm as they are the ones I can kill without having to die same with mature but thoose hurt abit more. Think im gonna have to either team up abit more hunting these guys and go down abit on what I hunt with. How is melee hunting atm? For Oro hunting this gun seems somewhat overpowerd so maybe my axes could do alot better there? How is eco on 1x0 2x0 now adays? Read something bout an axe nerf. Ya thats why I come back feels better to ask when im unsure then to spend alot of peds on nothing . Hmm would going amped opalo be eco even thou I outskill it?
I have little experience with melee. So I will leave that issue to someone else. As far as opalo goes, if you have a weapon maxed and it allows you to kill efficiently then thats really all that matters. However there are more eco low level weapons than the opalo these days. Have a look at the local TT weapons and compare them to opalo in entropia. Yes they are limited rather than unl but as there is no MU, there's really no disadvantage from that. And if you want to step up to higher dps there are a number of shops offering a selection of arkadian weapons. (check my sig). For non-combat fapping, the herb box from Next Island is superfab. It has low TT so I carry several to get me through a hunt. If you take the time to get yourself a mentor and do the tasks to graduate, you will score a set of adjusted pixie which is a very handy set of armour to have. Regards, KikkiJikki
Hmm I wonder if I can even get a mentor would be suprised . The issue atm is to find the sweet spot I guess finding a mob that goes down somewhat easy and still be able to kill them in loads without havign to burn to much ammo.
It's easy to find a mentor, you just have to find someone with more skills. And it is highly recommended to get one, if not for the advice you can get, then at leat for the reward you get when finishing you discipleship. Axes are a bad idea because they don't have SIB, you can use the ranged gun from tt with a101 for oro hunting. Could do it with an opalo, but that gets boring fast. Team hunting is always a good idea (on the bigger mobs).
Working on the IFN now succeded in finding my first mentor and buying a TT fap for 200% Finaly found a mob that I like killing and were I find I can profit in time and get IFN skills. Finished up the beginner missions and got my 2nd vech Found a job Haha been a busy day but cheaper then yesterday. Ty al for al your help much enjoyed and with some luck I should now be on my feet . Only soc left to go
