I don't want to ruin someones name OK, But i made a post about looking to darken my skin and hair. I got an answer and was flown here and still didn't get my hair and skin done was told to wait for an August update. SO I'M STUCK IN A PLACE I DIDN'T WANT TO BE. I want to go back to caly. I feel like a chump and theirs nothing i can do about it. All i wanted was to get my skin and hair done. Now i don't even care about it. I just want to go back to caly. I'M a newbie and don't have a lot of ped right now. I don't like being made to feel like I'm at someones beck and call. This game should have a way for newbies to explore the different worlds without dealing with other players.
Personally speaking, I say you're better off on Arkadia, but I'm sure there's someone willing to give you a lift back to Calypso.
Vtol + thruster is pretty cheap. Then you are no longer depending on anyone else to travel between planets. It's kinda slow though....
This is a MMO game, so you're going to have to deal with people to some extent. However, I completely understand the desire to travel independently. That's why I own two quads and always carry around a spare sleipnir and thrusters just in case. It sounds like you need to get your own ship so you can explore the planets at your leisure. Like KikkiJikki said, a Sleipnir, thruster, oil, welding wire and rk-5 tool can be gotten cheaply and will allow you to explore every planet. If you simply don't have the ped for that, you can try hiring a flight. The Normandie mothership flies to caly wednesday at 22:00 for 10 ped, or you can find numerous taxi pilots at the quarry, though be warned that not all pilots provide equal service. If you wait around the quarry long enough, you will probably be able to find someone heading to calypso who can take you for free. I'm curious though, why were you told to wait until the next update to get your hair and skin done?
Not knowing the answer, I'd guess it has to do with the lack of supplies dropping in the loot. That's just a guess, though.
First Welcome to Ark. You should be able to get you beauty done here on ark, try contacting Zunami, If your not able to get your beauty done at this point due to system issues. I also think Arkadia is a nicer place to be... But that said feel free to have a look at a site called titans-of-space.com for the flight times of the Normandie. For 10 PED you can get back to Calypso in one jump and if you ask nicely one of the other passengers can probably drop you on the planet at the far end. Look for "John Black Knight" in the player register to organise yourself an invite etc. Or else hook up with Princess above and take advantage of his generous offer. Space travel is quite cheap and there are Privateers and other folks who can make things even cheaper for you than the Normandie can I gather, so hopefully you should find someone in teh not too distant future who can help you out.
Thank you all for the replies and sorry if i came off badly. I like the game alot and just was feeling frustrated about being flown somewhere and having to start over. All i was looking for was getting my hair and skin done. I have been only playing for a few days now.
Sorry to hear of your bad experience, especially being so new, there was no logical reason at all that anyone needed to bring you to Arkadia to get beauty work done in the first place. We do have some of the best here who may do that for you, as someone said for example Zunami, but they are based on Calypso first anyway as far as I know, so not over here as much as over there. Please don't let that experience put you off of Arkadia for sure, it is the best place to be, if you don't fly back to Calypso right away, take the new player experience here and pick up some fun and some starter items like the pod etc (ask for Advisors to help you at the Quarry). Hope however you decide to go it all turns out well for you and best of luck in your adventure in Entropia
