What interests you about Planet Arkadia?

What interests you about Planet Arkadia?

A pretty easy question to answer, as I'm asking YOU about YOUR interests. What draws you to Planet Arkadia? Is it the story? The type of game play? Perhaps another piece of information about Planet Arkadia that has been made public so far?

 

Well so far what interests me is the fact that the developers are communicating with us and listening to us, one thing that has not really been done by other PP. I also like the storyline very much and the fact that David (Ozi) is/was a long time respected EU player and the fact that apparently he knows what 'we' like to see in the game.

Sure the planet is not live yet, so we are not sure if all our wishes and their promises will come true, but I have a really good feeling about this.

 

That the devs promised to have an economy running from the start with all items necessary for that to happen.
That would be quite a revolution if it happens since the other new planets are still faaar away from that even though they have been launched months ago.

 

That absolute amazing communication that has been happening. Also the story line has been awesome. Did I mention communication. . It is aweome when the CEO chat's with us. As well as the other team members have been on the forum asking our opinion ( can you believe that , they want our opinion) . Did I mention communication . I can't wait to get there. Just like a little kid entering a candy store

 

The Storyline,
Its a new place.
It has a better concept with more exploring then just grinding day in and day out.
I only pay half of my losses to MA for treatin me like shit for so long
Its NOT the idots at FPC/ SEE whomever they will be next week with no creativity and grasping at straws and throwing EVERY gimmick from every other game in just to suck ped not to enhance the gameing experience.
One of my favorite bands is from Australia.
Its time for a major change.

 

This pretty much covers it for me. I'll add the attention to detail seems to be top notch and the concept of Treasure Hunting/ XenoArcheology is pretty damn cool too. If Arkadia turns out to be anything close to what it looks like it will then it will be THE planet in EU.

 

For me its about getting in on the ground level so to speak and trying to re-experience the unknown that I remember from Calypso so long ago.
The thought of 'I wonder whats over that hill' to have it open on a magical vista that takes your breath away -like the first time i was taken to Zychion- the feeling of trepidation from not knowing what that red dot on the radar is before you can see it and at least in the beginning getting that from every mob encountered whether i can see it or not.The excitement of new discoveries-should I be lucky enough to get one...etc..

What makes this different from the other new planets for me is that the theme of the planet fits perfectly into what kept me in EU in the first place plus the team behind it and the faith I have in them to actually get it right.

Basically I'm hoping for a little of the magic that I and I'm sure most of us found when we first set foot on Calypso.

 

Hoping that a new planet could bring some usage for high skilled avatars. Point of skills has vanished on "older planets" due to the (L)imited item rain over there. Maybe missions that require a certain level or similar.

 

Certainly hope that Arkadia Team will continue the same great communication and development as before launch.
Also ACTUAL storyline, that is missing on other existing planets. Calypso lost it somewhere along the way. Other ones never had any.
Exploring unknown is also appealing. I wanna feel like when i started two years ago, not knowing what is around the corner

 

So far I really like the competitions and the fact that you guys just seem to be trying harder than the other partners.

Keep it up and consider having a more "even" loot distribution (may not be possible).

 

Well im here becaiuse other ppl said that will be cool.
Those videos are too dark and too fast for me to see anything.
But im sure that once info will be aviable about weapons and their stats, about enemy - mobs, about ingame play, about tools and their stats, about proffesions and possibilities for future - i might find interest.
Im sure i will, if not for other then as an turist for curiousity.

It isn't the game play, it won't change much at all compared to the other planets.

It isn't the back story.

It's the fact that so far in the few days I've been a member of this forum I've read more helpful information and posts from the Arkadia team than Calypso, RT and NI put together have made on their forums in the last few months.

Keep this sort of interaction up and you'll overtake the other planets easily. It's what we spent years asking from MA only to get silence or half truths.

 

yes the idea of the birth of a new planet with an exciting story line did it for me the story is awsome and yes trying to fine the kind of excitment i used to feel when i first started playing 5 years ago tried RT and NI but found them really crap so a new venture on Arkadia appeals to me with David @co keeping us updated has made all the differance my imagination is running amock lol cant wait . and with an exsperienced player as one of the developers i think it will be all that we expect, only hope there will be no gliches on the release date see u all there soon

I like the story so far, it fits my sci fi taste.

After 8 1/2 years on Calypso, I look forward to something new.

No bling bling shit like on RT, or have everything named after the developer.

The whole thing looks steady and serious to me, the dev team works hard to keep things up and implemented on launch day.

Did I mention that they communicate and respect the players?

I seriously hope they keep that up.

What keeps me currently playing are my soc mates and friends and fort events.
Altough I am currently more in another MMO than in PE.

And I am tired of being sucker punched and face slapped by MA/FPC/SDS/WTF/FUBAR or what the name is these day's.
My shop is still screwed up and no help or compensation for lost business, only some copy / paste answers from a support monkey.
Hunting and reporting scammers and basicly getting told to shut up and move on.
And the list go's on and on.

I think alot of us on this forum are feeling the same way. To quote a famous blues song " The Thrill is Gone " .. MA has had ample time to bring back all the old systems that we enjoyed. But have failed. My sincere hope is that the Arkadia Team with David at the helm, will be able to demand basic platform systems from MA and get them, in a timely fashion. Also have bugs fixed ASAP ( yes there will be bugs ). Lets cross our fingers and hope that Arkadia is everything we hope it to be . Cya on the planet.
