Hi Dev team May 1st is the release of Planet Cyrene. Planet Calypso has started with a robot war with very attractive prizes. This will keep some players on Calypso. Meanwhile what are the Plans for planet Arkadia May 1st?? Any cool competitions with nice Smuggler prizes? Cheers bjorn
I would prefer to see some events for crafters and give unlimited -404 -40 above weapon blueprint as reward, or they just drop too slow. If I remember correctly only 2 (L) weapon blueprint dropped since last interview that's very very slow
I don't think cyrene has to worry about a lack of attention in the first few weeks. I think it would be wiser not to have an event now, but do it when cyrene is live for a few weeks. That gives arkadian players a change to go on a short holiday to check out cyrene and then come back for a nice event
I agree with harmony: Everyone will go to Cyrene to see it, and every event in the first weeks will not make the arkadian players happy. Better create "return to your home planet" Events a few weeks later. Currently it's already difficult for Players to be at Calypso to fight the Robot war and at the same time, we want to be home. Still not enough space travels going on *sniff, sniff*
I wonder if MA promotes a synergistic relationship between the planet partners; encouraging healthy competition without burying each other in overlapping promotion? Planet release dates are obviously a big deal for all partners, potentially pulling away revenue (hopefully just temporarily). So, how Dave and A-team strategically handle this "first" for them should be interesting. Of course I'll go visit Cyrene, AA vest adorned, and likely have a great time. But I'll be back soon, hopefully with a lot of my fellow Arkadia denizens. And looking forward to watching Ark grow, and continue to set the standard of how a planet should be managed.
I dont think Cyrene will have any probs drawing people from MA's caly event..seems like they have followed their SOP yet again and pissed everyone off mid event. I know alot have already stopped feedin that beast because of that and are ready to go to Cyrene. I agree that Ark is due for an event but I BEG you please dont let MA run it like they do Caly events where everyone NOT participating takes an extra loss to pay for the participants to have their fun and get their rewards. Make the loot / prize pool be paid for by what gets cycled during the event on the event mobs. Im not liking it when I have to stop playing for the entire duration of MA run events no matter where I am because I take an automatic 34% drop in returns for the duration of the events which are mainly hunting events which I dont normally participate in.
Hi guys, Arkadia will only have some bug and terrain fixes for the coming update on the 1st May. There will be another update late May, which will be around Arkadia's 1st Anniversary. You can expect this update to be huge. In addition, there will be a myriad of events planned by both the players as well as Arkadia Studios to celebrate Planet Arkadia's first birthday bash. I will share more in the coming weeks when I can.
I'm sorry but we keep saying birthday instead of anniversary (not that it really matters) and it keeps making me laugh i've got this mental picture of David pushing out the planet from between his legs. Would be a hilarious picture to Photoshop up.
Lol Rex, yeah it's called the anniversary and the birthday, but birthday is more fitting I think (Arkadia did sort of get married to Entropia lol, but still). The birthday image is probably true metaphorically, no doubt David suffered at least the pains of childbirth there in some ways
I hope this "huge" update brings treasure hunting...I plan on staying on Arkadia for the mining contest i'm in. I will go to visit Cyrene and try to "discover" something but I never have been good at beating others to it unfortunately. I will be back asap though as I like Arkadia best because of the freedom miners have at not having mobs hound them while mining. Cyrene looks mob and bot oriented haven't heard a word about crafting or mining there.
