:surrender: i gave up on Calypso.
    :shrug:i was broke.
    :hail:i prayed to Lootius.
    :huh:i was out of ideas.
So,i moved to a new home,i moved to Arkadia.Thats me and my find,75% of the time: View attachment 3731

Ill make a thread about my mining trips, will do 100 bombs runs, will do only ores for now and ill write down my returns after each run.Why am i doing this?To show how most players do ingame.I always see threads how ppl end up with thousands of ped profit-ill show that thats not the case.Ill show that with normal playtime and style,u cant do that.i probably wont use aps,and even if i do,not bigger then 2 light.(it lasts 100 drops)
Ill use OF-105 for now, decay wont be included right now-ill take it later out of the sum.
    Im LVL 24 prospector/miner.

    Wish me luck:cool:

Good luck on trying to prove that you can mine without profit over a longer period of time, i'm sure it's a lot harder to do then all those profitable blogs out there :)

In the end you'll do the same as the other miners that spend more time per day, it will just take you longer before you have the same tt turnover.

You will find it easier to get tt return back here on Ark. You will also find that you need a bigger bank here as there are farrrrrrrrrrrr too many resources in the spawn areas. but some of the stuff here has better MU's the Caly and can help the pain of all that.

And for the record...at level 53 you get 90% of your claims as II and III...

Unless you are an amp gambler or can afford to cycle the low to mid amps on a regular basis. Unamped miners get the shaft no matter what planet they work on.

Anyway you will enjoy mining here as you dont have to waste ped defending yourself from ninja shit mob spawns every 3 minutes like on Caly. You can mine in peace here and actually enjoy seeing what the game devs have taken the time to make in the areas we play in.

GL and Many hof's and Welcome to Arkadia Blood Sister.

I can tell you right now just looking at your first three runs you need more MU. There are plenty of areas on Ark that supply high MU resources that you can easily get without an expensive finder. Looks like you are averaging 9-10% which you need at least 12% MU to break even unamped. Stay away from taxed areas and go for the quil, veda, dianthus, yulierium areas. Also dont undersell to get a quick ped turnaround.

I agree with PigBenis (god the times i misread your name....) You seem to have an awfully low markup on the stuff you find, so either you sell too low or you still need to find some good areas.

In my opinion it could still work out with your markups though, it just takes longer.

And im there where i have put myself.2 bad runs in a row.

I agree with u,i sell 2 low, since im selling to some resellers.I dont have much of a pedpillow. Also,as i am preety new here,im still exploring the areas.
    If i had 1 k,and could stack my ores,i would easily get 10% more back.But i dont,so...

So...you know what you are doing wrong but you wont change because you like to lose?

Im not sure I understand your motivation here, you are complaining that you continually lose, I and other posters point out some possible solutions to increase your return rate and you come back with excuses as to why it can't be done.

    Goodluck to you.

We all have to work with that what i have.If i know the Oven in the store is better then mine in my house, should i kill myself trying to get it?No
If i dont have thousands of peds sitting ingame, and locked up in my apartment, pls understand it.I dont live in Stockholm,Goteburg,Berlin or Washington.
If i had those 5-10%,i would still be at 87% return.I cant cover 40% loss...

Mayday you're going to have a tough time of it with out a bigger PED card. The more PED you can deposit, the more advantage you can take out of the game systems.

Mininglog.com will also give you an idea where to start mining for the higher MU items. Not to mention you can watch PigBenis's and my Youtube videos. It's not like we hide our locations.

    Good luck to you.

I am a small time miner on Ark. I have been at it for about 6 months now. I play 2 -4 days a week for an hour or so a day. I have depo about $100 US in 6 months. I use level 2 (or sometimes cheep level 3) amps. Once I gave up crafting I have made money. To start what I am doing you need 250 - 300 ped to start. I do 20 double drops per run. If I find a good area I hit it again in a day or two. If you are going to do it unapmed you can cut 75 ped off the starting cash. I would stay I break even before MU about 40% of the time. I break even after MU about 40% of time. i have a bad run 15% of the time and I have good run 5% of the time. The MU and good runs (TT return of 150% or more) more than carry the bad runs. I have well over 1000 ped TT worth of stuff in storage. I think you know that one of the keys is to be able to hold stacks until you can sell 40 or 50 ped worth (at least) on the AU. Another way to boost profits which I don't have the time for is sell in chat and save the AU charge. I have not made a depo in the last 3 months and don't see one in my future anytime soon.

    Hi Mayday,

I can't tell you specifically what to do that is guaranteed to work, just another vantage point from a steady, long-term, low-budget miner.

The things that work for me, my F106, and shoestring gaming budget on Sentosa.

    • Mixed mining
    • Keeping track of resource type locations (namely high markup locations)
    • Using TT-Rock Rip (L)
    • Using around 1/3 capital on each run, but never all in same day.
    • Finding OTHER fun, ped-free things to do with participants while waiting for mats to sell on auc.

I wish you much more success in your mining.:)
