im curious what my shop at celeste quarry could be valued at. i get PM:s every now and again from people asking me if im selling, and i have always said no, as i REALLY love the location it's perfect, and always crowded with people who knows, if someone offers me a seriously crazy amount of peds for it i might consider it, but most likely that will never happen i love my shop too much, but im curious what it's really worth. ty ^^
Mine too every time I see a post from JF. I'm still thinking of a Temp ban for the person responsible too Well the booths originally sold for around 7k upwards. I'm not sure what Few Scars bought #1 for but I know what I bought #3 for from Oboy so I'd guestimate that it would be worth something more than what you originally paid for it I love being cryptic....it fits so well with my personality MWHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! :soangry: EDIT: Just found this thread, so I guess that answers your question rather well.
Where to start with you lot... Bemo saying "jelly-fish" made me think of the song. GAH! Is that +repworthy or -repworthy?
they are worthless piece of shit as long as long as they allow second-third-fourth...alts avas, there is no reason to buy one nowdays when you are going to have ppl cheating you and none cares Booth= 20 items for what? 6k Vs unL auction sloots for free, unless you are going to put very low rotation items or high markup they are worthless
Chill Smurf, I agree the alt avis buying/running shops etc is bo ha, but it's always been done and with more and more planets suspect it will get worse. JF, here is one answer to your Price Check HERE
Don't really agree with Chilix. I get much better turnover on sales of weapons through my booth compared to when I was using auction. And those dont sell cost me nothing. Now that I have a better idea for what is actually in demand, I might start listing a few items in auction again. I think value of these booths will go down some once more shops become available but the location will always be attractive.
kinda funny reading that odd statement with your ad for your caly weapon shop right under it anyway, thanks for the feedback guys ^^
funny is not maybe you missed my selling thread this http://arkadiaforum.com/showthread.php?3577-Selling-Crafting-Business as long as ppl can do as many avas as they wish to sell as they wish an even to harasss competition in auction by using unlimit auction slots its not funny and without the need of travel to that planet for example View attachment 3323 If i put 2 he will put 4, if you do 4 =8... always hidden in ghost and always without auction limits why should i buy a shop when i can play those games it seems, i am better creating a few accounts and selling all my stock in auction and if i want harass competition without showing the face price of a computer = 300$ to do p2p trades beetween my "family"accounts and i am fixed, with unL slots in all planets why pay 600$ for 20 on each?planet?+shopkeepers? if you have really low rotation stuf or high markup could have some sense otherwise just make a few "family" accaunts and sell in auction will maximize your profit the main reason i bought my shop was not for looking of more profits, but the ability of sell more than my 30 slots in auction to cycle more and faster, and to have the ability to leave stuff for friends while not there i guess i will have to change my sig now, for lost in space, may be my new home away from auction, sick of watching ark weapons
I think the benefit of a shop is you can collect a bunch of related items together and you can build customer loyalty. Like a colorers shop may have all kinds of paints and everything you need for coloring, or like #2 booth that has a variety of Ark weapons--and only Ark weapons, and #1 which has full sets of Ark armor. I think these work, as long as there is demand and advertisement, of course. If, on the other hand, the shop is stocked with random items so that nothing stands out, chances are that I'm not even going to remember the shop is there when I need something. What I'm trying to say is... the "worth" of the shop depends on how you use it and how you advertise it. Also, an alternative to creating alt avatars to get around auction limits would be to hire some helpers to list stuff for you. It's not as efficient as having an alt, since you have to coordinate your schedules and keep records, but at least it's legal.
I can say for Booth #1 that I have never had a shop on Calypso that had sales like this one does! Everytime I log in I see that little purple box appear with a sale. I say these are worth 7K plus for prime location at the moment.
Well Chilix your post isn't really about the price of the market stalls on arkadia which i personally still believe to be overpriced and i wouldn't value them over 5k, but it seems a lot of buyers disagree with me About the second avatars, that has always been a problem, and i'm afraid it always will be. MA have watched the other way when [mod: removed specifics that were in breach of Rule 2e], so as long as the second avatars aren't violating any rules like market manipulation i doubt they will do anything about it. And how could they, it can always be a real person behind that other avatar with his/her own ID, who is to say that they don't just like the trading aspect of the game? Personally i hope MA will one day allow multiple avatars on one account, but that is someting else again, sorry for going off topic.
