This thread is about general ore/enmatter distribution on Arkadia.

If you found some minerals anywhere on Arkadia, and you want to share it with the community, please use the following map to post your results:

    View attachment 3150

    For example:

    L7: Lysterium (depth ~200m), Oil (~50m).

If you have any existing data for these charts on your own map or as a spreadsheet, please contact me, I'll try to convert it into Oceanic format.

You can find a template inside Oceanic with a couple of samples that will give you an idea of how it will look like (ark_mining.xml).

    Ours is easy..

    http://www.arkadiansunleashed.tk/mining_oceanic.php

Currently it exports everything... But I'll probably be modifying it to only export data within the last 3 or 4 months or so since it's got information since launch (so much of it is out of date with subsequent resource overhauls).

EDIT: It's been modified. Only gives the last 4 months of data.

    Nice one!

It just needs to be cleaned up a little bit.

If you load this file by itself in oceanic, you will see three groups "Enmatter", "Ore" and "Other" - group "Other" should be empty, it contains ores/enmatters that either are not registered in config file as being an ore/enmatter or have spelling errors/extra spaces in their names, so oceanic doesn't recognize them as being ores/enmatters.

I added four missing types into config file: Kaz stones, Star Particles, Vorn Pellets and Yulerium Stones.

Can you please fix the rest you currently see in "Other" group, so they will fall into Ore/Enmatter group?
Like "Acid Root" instead of "Root Acid", "Vesperdite Ore" instead of "Vesperdite Ingot" etc.

Once it's fixed, I'll add this file to the main package for Arkadia ore/emn distribution along with the updated config.

Also, one Veda Stones sample is off the map completely.

Sorry about those. I wasn't the one who put them in, and so I don't always keep track to make sure they're accurately named. They've been fixed. :)

I made that file available for download on oceanic web site, I didn't include it in the package because it'll be opened by default with Arkadia and make it very busy with all those claims.

When I have time I'll generate a mineral chart from it, that will contain only big areas showing you where to find a resource.

Looks great so far. I can't seem to bring up Alternative, Narc and Wenrex stone. This was just a spot check and I havent compared your list to what's avalible in-game. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

    Bring it up where?

In "Groups/Types" menu you need to choose Ore or Enmatter to see the list of available resources and then click on a resource below to see it on the map.

Oceanic only shows resources found in the data files highlighted for processing in the files list below, if you don't see a resource that means it's not present in the data files you have (chosen).
