Hi, several people have recognized that there is no carabok hide in the loot anymore. can anyone else confirm that? greets
wait until someone crafts a bunch of leathers then they will come back. Problem is MA's system has always worked on a supply and demand. Whats happening right now is everyone is putting them in storage (i'm guilty of this myself) so Loot servers still see it as beeing too much out there and not looting them. Same thing happened at the begging of the BP's beeing dropped. When people were turrning them into leathers and applying the leathers we had a lot more drops in hides but as people slowed down the drops slow down. TO be honest i'm starting to think thats why MA has creatues loot so many items now. Because otherwise you could just figure out what was getting used up the most and hunt the creature that loots that mostly or something to that extent.
My personal experience is that the hides still drop in reasonable amounts when i hunt/swunt at the academies instead of the quarry..
I hunted these 2 days and noticed something strange. In my first hunt, I got 44 hides. Then a few hours later, I got 0 hides. Both runs were pretty short (I took a full tt =8 ped tt Laconian sword and decayed it to 4ped), but still the difference is quite remarkable imo...
The hides drop in "waves". I do fairly long hunts that take from an hour to two hours. During this time I get few time periods when carabok hide drops. I can go 30 minutes without a single hide, then get 3-4 loots in a row of it. I have no idea why it's like this, someone mentioned it drops when someone crafts with it first, might be.
I have noticed this same thing. Hunted Caraboks for hour not a single hide took a 20 min break came back hunted them some more and about every other kill hide drop, had to go back to Command Post for short time came back and 45 min before I got another Carabok hide. Then they started dropping again as usual. This pattern does seem strange and totally different then what I remember for awhile ago. I wish we could really know if crafting is connected to hunting drops but MA is hush hush about that and it is just all guessing. Know one knows 100% how the system works besides people at MA and until they come forth and say we are all guessing. The best we can do is track data and contemplate about how it all works.
I am doing the level 1 missions and I am consistantly getting about 50 hides per 75 mobs. I have completed 6 of the 12 missions.
