I think many people knew that Kim giving very much beacons to players in twin peaks recently, it is acceptable because the mining to find beacons are bugged so far. But MindArk Kim also gave an Unlimited Sleipnir Mk1 during the quiz game in twin peaks yesterday. David can you tell us what do you think about it? Can you do the same to us? View attachment 3082
Well its hardly a competative advantage for the winner. Nor does it destabalize the economy. Its just a nice prize.
Giving way things that MA could sell for over 1000 PED or create events in which it would be used as prize isn't unbalacing ? Just because they answer a few questions That surely is going to increase the already horrible lag there due to the freeloaders trying to get one too And to what perceived gained for MA or that planet partner? It's not like Twin isn't already known and very high trafic location why put more pressure on it.
I know the Rocktropia Crew did the same thing when vehicles come out so maybe we will see David doing the same thing when they get there new hover vehicles out.
yes i dont think cute was saying its unfair, just wondering if we could have an EVENT or party where we do things like pvp in ring and quiz or other stuff as a group and get prizes. maybe vehicles or bps or L armor or whatever, RT does that kinda often, and MA does it on caly whenever the hell the feel like it. Would be nice to have somthing like that happen here sometimes. thats all.
Actually I'm saying it is not fair , RT giving free (L) vehicles is different from Kim giving free UNLIMITED Vehicle. And it is giving a UNLIMITED Vehicle in a Quiz game. Unless other PP has the rights to do the same thing or i think it is totally unfair to other PP
What annoys me about this is it's always the people hanging around twin or other town that get the chance of these freebies, while those of us who spend most our time actualy spending peds hunting & mining are ignored. If reps from any planet are gonna do free giveaways then everyone should have equal chance, or they should at least get out into the field sometimes where people are actualy spending peds and give those guys something.
this makes a lot of sense. I dont know, wouldn't get to worked up about it, but definatlely giving the ped to those sitting around doesn't encourage decay. That item would have made for a great event that could have increased decay for MA.
I think it's overkill for a quiz prize, and I hope the A-team doesn't give away such valuable prizes so casually. Prizes should be appropriate to the contest.
Well Arkadia did give a lot of unlimited blueprints away not too long ago. And i value some of those blueprints a lot higher then an unlimited vehicle. The difference between arkadia and calypso however is that the Arkadian team made a real event out of it, and that calypso can't think of anything better then a stupid quiz.....
this is actually funny to me becasue i remember when vehicles came out they didn't even come up with a quiz to give it out. And they just got swarmed by people trading them and just gave it to random people and it was just caos and borning. Same Day on Rocktropia NDS crew was doing Rock Trivia and giving them out and it was actually fun and i remember thinking at least that was more fun and better organized.
Yeah, ive spent a little time on RT, but despite my dislike for Neverdie I do also remember hearing about how RT was going about things at that time, and how pissed i got because Caly devs couldnt think as far as to do something similar.. *ps: any bad spelling i blame the Vodka and Lokias Party for*
I disagree with neil saying that the prize is too much. I thing anything should be able to given out as a prize, sometimes its the only way some players will ever afford items like that, but what I dont like,,,, as slither said was that its done where the people just sit around, They damn sure arent out by the mobs that I am grinding 12+ hours a day and its always on caly... this is also a problem. Last time I checked MA has to do with the whole planet. They could pop up at ARK, or RT or NI or Foma or CP and do give aways or mini random events as well, of couse they should speak with the PP first but that would make things a bit more fair and balanced. I have been on ARK the last 3 times MA popped up at twins spawning mobs twice and this time the pvp ring and becons quizes with the UL vtol. Gets a bit frustraighting.
