First of all, moderators, if this is in the wrong place please move it. A quick look around didn't show me a developer's area. Could we have the same number of terminals in the two clusters at the Quarry that you see at Celeste Harbor, if that makes sense. As it currently exists, there is only one storage terminal, if my memory is correct, on either side of the Quarry "mall". Things can get kind of crowded occasionally around these. One more per side would make it a little more comfortable. Perhaps even a second trade terminal per side. I can see the Quarry becoming more of a gathering place than it already is in the not too distant future.
I'll have a look and see what we can squeeze in. Anyone else got an opinion on what terminals we need more of at the Quarry? Dave
The harbor doesnt' have any soc terminals, please don't copy that at the new new social center thanks.
Dave said they will put in soc terminals at Celeste Harbour, if I remember correctly... Main things are going to be TT, storage, and auction. Might need a third crafting machine... but don't think that's urgent. Mostly auction and TT, I think..
Thanks, Larkin, for moving this to a more appropriate thread. And, thank you, Mr. Dobson, sir, for your quick response.
i was thinking wouldn't it be kinda cooler instead of a crafting terminal you had like above where the terminals are now like crafting benches/tables/workshops instead? Having it a terminal really makes it feel like a slot machine. And having like a couple slots up top would just feel more realistic and crafters could have a short walk up there and not get crowded in by people stocking auction. and really the same thing could go for everything. Make like a repair shop with repair terminals and storage. Always kinda hated the terminal stuff you could make them look like NPC's just the same and it would just be less boring.
An additional set of auctions/storage/crafting, per side, so two sets. The corner space between the booths and the terms may be a good location if you have no future plans for those areas. I do not see one TT as being an issue as ppl do not stand in front of it as long as they do w crafting, storage and auction. jc
Instead of adding more terminals, just increase the accessibility of the existing ones. They are very close together and have a wall behind them, so we have only about 90 degrees of accessible area per terminal. You can quadruple the available terminal access without making more terminals if you separate them more and cut back the rear wall so that people can gather all the way around each terminal and walk behind them (extend the recessed area from the booths down past the terminals). Think of how many people there inside the service center at Twins. 90% of them are standing at auction, a few stand at the crafting terminals, and no one congregates around the storage (only quick trips to storage). In a trading hub, i think this is how it will go, because people will stand scanning/bidding on an auction for a long time and while crafters also stand for extended periods of time, there are a lot less crafters than auction buyers. The most popular are going to be crafting, storage, and auction, and if the terminals can't be made more accessible, I think AttacKat's idea of duplicating those three would be a quick fix. And I think they should be side by side in that order (or in a triangle orientation) for quick access. I think Jim's idea would work fine too, just put an extra sets of those three terminals in an empty corners somewhere.
I'm sorry if I'm in error about this, I'm posting from work, but is there a technician terminal at the quarry? While at Celeste Harbor, a newcomer asked me about getting a blueprint and I told him to see the technician terminal. Turns out there isn't one at Celeste that I could find. The Quarry may have the same situation.
