On Tuesday at 23:00ma ASF will be making a round trip armed convoy flight to Calypso. Passengers and quads are welcome, though passenger seats may be limited. We will be at Calypso for approximately 30 minutes before returning home to Arkadia. You can also use the opportunity to get out of the safe zone and head off to a different destination, but you aren't guaranteed an escort to those destinations. How to prepare: 1) Send me a private message ahead of time to let me know you will be coming. Tell me whether you're a pilot (give approx. number of times you've flown in space), or if you will be a passenger. Do not reply in this thread to say you are coming. Do not talk about your flight plan with those whom it does not concern. 2) Download and install the teamspeak 3 client (free) from teamspeak.com. You don't have to speak if you don't want to, but it will be helpful to listen to instructions. 3) Bring ammo and fuel 4) If you want to fly round trip, plan to return to arkadia by 01:00 5) Meet at Celeste Harbor Military HQ (by the TP) at 22:30, ready to fly (or inside Ark station if you're already in space) 6) For the return trip, meet at Athena Spaceport or inside Caly station at approx. 23:45. Departure will be at 00:15 or so (depending of course on the pirate situation). This initial trip is free for quads and 20 ped for passengers. No VTOLs. Since this is the first public convoy we're making, it's largely a trial run. Keep this in mind when deciding whether to bring lootables. Avatars on the ASF watch list will not be permitted to join the convoy. Please use this thread to give feedback about your preferred days and times for future flights. If all goes well, we plan to make these flights a couple times a week. Right now we're focusing on days when there are no scheduled mothership flights (right now, that's Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday). The Normandie makes scheduled trips to Calypso on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Normandie and the Kronan can be chartered at any time for around 100 ped. Both ships are very secure.

Totaly sliped my mind making the post on the ASF private forum after we flew together to Calypso Niel. My new mercanary squad "Rekkies" (South African players will understand the name) will also be offering convoy flights from the end of this month and we are looking forward to assisting the ASF in these flights. Ill make a post on the ASF forum later this week when I get the time to do it as there is still a lot of things to work out internaly before the live date. Regards Shiro

Feel free to share the times of day that a convoy would be useful. We only chose this time of day because it was when my friendlist gets greenest.
well i can just say the the best central european times would be somewhat between 19 and 22 MA time (at least in winter time heh)..
This time zone also fals inline with South Africa and will likely be somewhare during that time when we Rekkies will run our convoys during the week. Weekends ofcorce we will stick to whatever time we get.
I have been told Age of Enlightenment is not associated with the Nebula Virus group anymore!! So Neil and Ion and ASF are very "Welcome" to convoy any flights!! Whoo Hoo!!
