well I got shot down flying back to ark so I dont think I will be texturing on caly anymore. If you need texturing done it will be via visit to me on arkadia only from now on.

I will have to reduce my skins purchases on arkadia now unfortunately because I dont have enough clients here to sustain purchases I am really sorry all

 

I'd be happy to carry texturable items back and forth from Caly for your clients.

 

And of course the low-life that did it cant be publicly named. No damage to pirates rep allowed but is perfectly fine for individuals and our economy to be screwed over by thieves.

Just a note to everyone out there if you plan on traveling with stackables that you can not afford to lose hire a security escort.

 

Fopsie, the Normandie is safer than using a quad escort. I'd say use that if you truly can't afford to lose the stackables.

 

I think safest bet is the normandie yes, pretty cheap to if you can use the regular flights.

 

Yes I agree about the Normandie however it only flies on certian times so you ether have to be online during the small window it operates or hire a quadwing escort or risk it alone.

Idealy If I need to fly fast and have a lot of stackables and cant use a MS I would hire a small force of quadwings (>= 2) and not just one lone one, Ill also get a gunner in my own ship.

 

Part of the game and nothing to cry about. It's a risk to carry stackable though space and only carry stuff u can afford to loose. No one, even a well known ava as Kitten, shall think they are safe just due to the name u carry.

Maybe not so wise to fly under own flag when all know that you sell texturising on Caly.
I happily carry items or be a part of bigger Quad squadron flying to/from Arkadia. 4-5 fully armed Quads with passanger should finish any pirate obstacle fast and efficent.

 

Just remember this is a legal part of the game - and everybody that goes into space with stacks know the risk. Everybody get the same message and has the chance to go back with the tp to a planet.

And many ppl here has it as a roleplay to be pk both in space and in pvp areas.

About our economy here at Ark - we just have to deal with that we will miss some ressources. I for myself miss ressources to make faps - then i have to find another way to be healed or hunt smaller mobs - or i can go to caly to make them.

To me even thou i miss some items / ressources i like the challenge about space even thou i hate that we now have to waste a lot of time up there. I think MA just now pay back to hangar owners what they didnt get since pre VU10.

Just find another way to get throu space like help from soc or friends......

Deal with it and adapt. But dont blame other players playing after the rules that exist in this game.

 

True, Pirates tend to not work in teams and usualy when they do their true nature comes out after a while and they backstab each other.

 

I deal with it. Travel when I need to. Take precautions as I see fit. But I also hold people to be responsible for the ethics of their behaviour. Just becos it's legal within the game doesnt mean its ethical. It's not just the looted player who is harmed. So yes I blame them. And if its perfectly fine for pirates to steal other players property why is it not perfectly fine to identify them publicly?

 

Its perfectly fine to identify them publicly on non official forums and websites. The ASF has a Pirate list so does the CCG.
I also blame those who take the road of piracy and have sworn not to support them atall. I will nether buy anything from a player I know to be a pirate.

 

I dont cry over it I just cant risk flying textures so I dont do it anymore.

A hunter can fly with their guns to a new planet and hunt no risk of getting shot down
a crafter can fly and pick up local materials and craft

a texturer needs to bring her textures or she cant do her work. at least not until other worlds have nice textures at reasonable levels like arkadia.

I am just sorry I have to cut down the skins I buy on arkadia because of. I guess I go back to hunting primary activity.

 

Kitten, for what it's worth, if it's just the pirate aspect preventing you from doing your business on other planets, there are solutions, like the motherships who offer very fast and very safe travel. Traveling with them is also very cheap really if you are in business and need to move stackables.

 

I would need to spend a good month at a time on caly selling texture service per trip to justify the mothership costs both ways unforutunatly. Its not a fast business and I have been going there mostly on demand when someone needed black done for example.

I was supposed to help revamp Magyar castle next but the amount of textures I would need to fly there to do it is just too risky. I dont really make a huge profit on the markups as it is so for the chance at a 5% or maybe 10% profit on a stack of 1k peds textures its just not worth it.

I may fly finished non stackables for sale but that's a lot harder to sell. And once we have unique clothes here I can make I will totally fly those textured untextured and colored because I wont have a risk

 

I'd just name them anyway.
