Halloween gifts ?

Will we be getting Halloween gifts on Arkadia? or will we need to go to Calypso for them?

 

It was to my understanding holiday gifts were EU wide and given to all players and not planet specific. Am I wrong?

 

MA already sent me my gift in da mail...Appears it was more of a "trick" than a "treat" this year...

That is awesome I can't wait till i get my envelope to see if I get a treat or a trick like you got. I mean if I could get some muscle oil sent to me I'd be happy. Although the envelope may be a bit gross to handle.

 

I know with previous ones people said they had to go to Caly for them... But I don't know. For the Christmas and Valentine's Day ones I had to be on Caly to get them.

 

and do we still "get" them, remember the bunny ears last Easter then we had to loot them ourselves not a gift as it used to be...

 

Well, that was Easter... Easter Egg Hunt.. Makes sense..

 

It has so far been on Calypso only the gifts come for Halloween and Christmas, I suspect in future it will be up to PPs to decide if they want to create some for their planets. No idea if MA are doing the gifts this year, last year it was FPC/SDS (or whatever) and yes you had to be on Calypso to get them on certain days (3 day span I think it was).

 

I think since I am taxed as a Calypso based player that any thing they give their citizens I am rightly entitled to and should not have to spend ped on space travel to retrieve. If gifts are given on Caly they should automaticly show up for us.

I would like to hear what Cyrus says about this.... I agree tho we should either receive our own gifts or the same one as caly residents. Having to make a trip to caly just to receive them will suck.

 

Its up to PP to hand out gifts. For Calypso Gifts you need to go to Calypso in a x days time frame to grab them.

 

I wish I could change my "Tax" over to Arkadia to give them an extra cut and help support the planet more.

This may be the case but sins this is the first time sins Calypso is back in MA hands they might change this to all planets to curb players feeling leftout or unfairly treated due to their planet of choise but at the same time It can be argued that its a planet specific gift so we will have to wait and see or wait for Cyrus or Dave to respond to know.

 

ok we all love the halloween/christmas/new year/easter gifts, but don't you think the A-team have other priorities then this their first year around?

Or did you mean if we get our MA gifts sent to use from "their" planet as the thread turned out to be about, Mordrell? (if so apologize to misinterpreted your op)

 

Yea agree that Arkadia has more pressing things to focus on then getting out Halloween gifts this time around but if they can manage it Awsome .

I am not saying A-team has to give us gifts, and it is prob a bit to close to the date for them to concentrate on it right now. I was just wondering what the protocol surrounding these things was.

 

I've always wondered why we have to go with current holiday gifts? like this is the future and a whole different planet can't we have our own festivals? Like why not have a special festival and event and gifts for the day humans first landed on Arkadia or the day that backup showed up and we kinda took back control? They don't even need to be specific annual days either.

Especially when you think that we are a multicultural playerbase and we dont really all celebrate the same things and to celebrate all of them would be kinda much. Like isn't there at least 3 different new years Chinese, Jewish, and what ever the Jan 1st one is and probably more? Arkadia has been aimed at the Asian community too that has many different holidays.

I say we make our own up and it be planet specific, and tie it to ingame history and events.

 

I agree. If people still want the gifts from other planets they should have to go there to get them. As for home planet gifts it prolly would be nice if they give them to you being they are making profit off you for starting on that planet. But at last I am just a huffled voice in the universe MA will do as they see fit in the long run.

I'll prolly fly over to calypso tonight and stay there to get the Halloween gifts, I have some unfinished business to do there this weekend anyways. If you want to be a passenger just give me a PM or private notification on here, I'll share the cost 50/50 of base value with you. Currently 2PED in fuel, 4PED in planet zoning and 2PED for thurster use so 4PED is shared price to get to Calypso. First person gets the ride. I will prolly be coming back sometime duiring next week we can share ride back if you want to do that as well.
