    I gota say the one thing i'm really disappointed with Arkadia about is that it has this FANTASTIC storyline. But we have so very few missions. I really was hoping to come here and feel part of a story and be engaged but all i have to do is same old grinding after the first day.

    We've got these Oratan but no like missions to go and do some scouting operations or anything.

    Plus what about exploring these runes and finding out what really happened to the Arkadians who all died off.

    Especially for a new person they get board and feel like this is just a nother grinder and focus on trying to make money instead of trying to be entertained and when they learn that they are just loosing money AND not being entertained they dont hang around long.

    I feel like i gotta start making my own missions for disciples.

    Some people like to do grind missions like "Iron mission". Other like more story in the mission. Why not cover both needs?

    Dude, missions are coming... Pay attention.. :p

    Talked to Cyrus like a week ago and he said they'd most likely be in about November. Give it some time.

    not all of us talk to cyrus some of us only stock him on the forum and nothing was said here. i know i check david and his posts like 3 times daily

    I know missions and the fact they're out in November has been posted on this forum *somewhere* at least two or three times.

    I fully understand what you are saying Rex, we do need to get story driven missions into the game. As I just wrote in another post about apartments/shops, we are juggling priorities and getting new content onto Arkadia as quickly as we can.

    Now we have endured the huge task or redoing the economics of Arkadia, and now have textures fully operational for every mob, timber and ore on the planet (massive task that is benefiting the economy already) we can move onto other things. I think you'll agree we are maintaining a cracking pace with the continued development of Arkadia, everything you hope for will come soon enough :)

    For November we are aiming to have more IFN Challenge missions in as a minimum, any story driven missions will be a bonus if we can squeeze them in.

    Please have some interesting text to read in the challenge missions as well. Make us feel like we actually did some good after killing 16k creatures. :hail:

    I really think the economy is more then just items being ingame it's also about having missions and fun things to do. Things that keep new people interested and around so that there is an economy.

    on a note about the economy i went on an Oro hunt last night and after like 2-300 kills i ended up with 22 different items look

    thats just crazy and overwhelming especially having 1-5 of some of the items.

    We seem to get a lot of the same items from creatures too. like why not split it up so you dont get the same 10-20 items from 20 different mobs you get 5 different items from each mob.

    For a new person to have that much stuff and have so little of some of it after 300 kills they can't really sell it efficiently and it's frustrating and annoying.

    I think all of this has to work together missions fun adventure and the economy being simpler and easyer to be a part of isntead of just pulling the slot machine arm hoping for a big loot. That gets borning especially when you start just loosing money. But if you loose money and it was fun and you felt like you where part of something and contributing to something it's not so bad you want to keep playing and having fun even if your paying for it.

    Loot is under MA's control, though, is the problem... Would be nice to see, but I think A-Team doesn't have much control (if any) over it...

    When I think back to all the updates and events on Ark in the lat 5 months, I wonder if/where you guys sleep.

    look i'm not trying to burn the A-team i agree they are doing a great job. I'm just voicing my opionions as to what i think we need to be better.

    It will be worth the wait Rex :)

    I would rather see shops come out first but thats just because most of my funds is lockedup waiting for shops to come out so if missions comes out first It will be harder to controle myself. Perhaps I should go dump the peds off on my Calypso appartment then dump the appartment deed in my personal storage in my F.O.M.A appartment so that its to much of a pain to get the cash when im twitching to go do the missions :)

    Haha.. That's what I did.. Every time I got Calypso, I make sure to leave a little something there so it adds up over time.

    Missions that add to or follow story lines will be awesome instead of the go kill a bajillion mobs so your not on the forums buggin us missions like MA does would improve Arkadia greatly.

    There are two problems hindering missions atm. To do story missions properly and not like the lame ass ones on Caly certain systems need to be turned on by MA for the Devs here to use like triggers, to star missions and give ability to set different outcomes with varied choices during these missions. Cryengine has this capability, either MA has no clue how they work or they simply wont activate them for use of PP's. Way points for NPC's can also be used for mission to make them truely awesome but again MA is not utilising them.

    MA is scared of Arkadia as the crew here is awesome and motivated. They counter everything they do here to hold hostage as many as possible on Caly. They KNOW that if the guys here were to be cut loose to do what they envision Caly would be deserted nearly instantainiously and put an even bigger hurt on their pockets. Specially since time and again they have proved all of their gimmicks are not working to draw new players because of their bad rep they continue to burn to the ground. New player growth in the last year has been due to PP's good or bad. Retention sucks because MA is still keeping a stranglehold on the playerbase with the rediculess cost to play changes made since cryengine was incorporated.

    Sooner or later they will have to add these features for PP's to use whether they want to or not and once they do that there will be a real spike in the economy, moral, and maybe even population if they are smart enough to use this to everyones benefits and not just their bank accounts.
